      @@slicksticky7298 you’ve got five years running out of that you got lucky !. I see a lot of people have problems with the gearbox is in these I’m on my 2 one now I live in Fredericton New Brunswick and the price for these gearboxes is gone crazy
      like $889 now and you can’t get parts for it. We have to buy the whole box easy to change though.. I had purchased 2 used 44” blowers and both have gear boxes that have died. I just put
      a brand new one in and hopefully get 5+ years or more. I have never had a gearbox fail on me in a snowblower. That is until I purchased a Deere. My D110 works great The only issue I’ve had with that is the throttle plastic thing has snapped. I had to replace that and the paint is horrible on these machines the paint falls off very easily.
      That being said, I truly enjoy it . We have a love-hate relationship going on.

    Well 2 things i snowblow during the storms to keep up with it and the garage is a great place to put your vehicles in to keep the snow off of them The lawn tractor and other stuff can always go in a tent or shed Im below Harcourt so i know what snow is lol

      Normally I snow blow with a walk behind Arians 28" Deluxe. The Arians walk behind snow blower makes this john deer set up look horrible for doing my drive way. The john deer tractor setup would be great for a long flat drive way with no slopes. My drive way is to sloped for the john deer set up and gets stuck easy. Not the best set up for going through the bank at the road.
      I normally like waiting for the storm to accumulate to see what the Arians can do but this day the neighbor said make a video with the john deer to see how I like it as I was thinking of putting a blower on mine.
      I quickly made up my decision on not to get a blower for my tractor due to the style of drive way I have.
      The walk behind Arians blower I have makes this john deer set up look bad.
      Each blower has there category of where to be used.
      The garage would be a good spot for the vehicles during a snow storm but I have other things stored in there. I bought and was about to put up a pop up shelter for the extra's but the city wanted to know how it was going to be secured, the brand, the serial number. the size, to be able to put up my taxes. The pop up shelter got returned. lol I pay enough as it is. The vehicles are ok sleeping outside. hahaha

      Check out my other videos of the ariens snowblower I use. More ideal I find. The John Deere snow blower i find works good for long flat straight drive ways.
      You need to add weights and chains on the lawn tractor for traction. The ariens Walk behind would prolly be more ideal for a couple snow falls and throws snow like no tomorrow.
      The walk behind does my side walls and all the tight spots the tractor can not go.

    And do you have chains on?

    • @LUCAMTire
      @LUCAMTire  2 роки тому

      Yes chains on front and rear tires. Rear Wheel Drive
      Weights on rear wheels and counter weights on back.
      Drive way is oddly sloped and the road is sloped as well. Makes it difficult to operated on the slop.

    Just curious did u have tire chains ?

    • @LUCAMTire
      @LUCAMTire  2 роки тому

      Yes.
      There was chains on rear tires with wheel weights and rear weight.
      Alot of ice that day and snow banks were very hard.
      my driveway is also on a weird slop which does not help for traction.
      For this style of drive way like mine on a weird slope is not ideal for this unit.
      It is my neighbors tractor and he has no issues with doing his driveway on a more level ground. For me my Arians walk behind blower is more ideal for my scenario.

      @@TheGameBoy56 if the storms are not that big prolly would not be worth it but also depends on size drive way or how much a hired season cleaning would be for the year to decide weather or not its worth it on the return on investment. How many years would it take to pay itself off?

      Similar size.

    I was just about to head out after one of these things. Looks like their isn’t any noticeable benefit from a self propelled hand blower. It just seems minimal for the price tag they put on it. No hate brother I actually appreciate you showing us the 100 series blower in action. Thanks for posting.

      @@LUCAMTire It's a 44", even says so right on the Blower if you zoom in at the 0:42 mark on your video. John Deere only makes a 44" for the 100/200 series lawn tractors. I just bought a new JD X330 last month for summer mowing and winter blowing and just ordered my 44" blower today. Only major difference for the 300 series is left foot pedal lift vs your right hand lever.
