Well first off thanks Kermie putting this up in secret men`s business the total wash up of the injector and failed injector push rods was due to algae in the fuel with water and other contaminates on removal the right side rocker cover revealed another injector way out of adjustment and another broken push rod so all injectors have been stripped and repaired . Fuel system will cleaned and fuel replaced to remove all the algae and contaminated fuel , leaving diesel in tanks for extended periods of time has the potential of growing algae due to moisture in the tank the refineries put an additive in during the refining process but its only good for a certain amount of time so if you have a vehicle that sits for extended periods of time its is vital to treat the fuel with an additive to prevent algae forming (growing) in the fuel this also applies to petrol .Algae is in fuels as the green algae you see in poorly maintained swimming pools same result
A bit like the time in Sydney in the eighties, had a cracked head between the injector and exhaust valve, hydrauliced and bent the rod on cold start. Doe pull it down and put another rod in or drive iy home and fix it ? Ended fueling and loading, drove without any shut down to prevent any hydraulic, and drove it home. Bought another rod and head ( individual) pulled it down, reassemble with replacement parts, and sent it back up the road. Robust motor those OM346 Benzs. Yes, what Rossco dont know, not really worth knowing.
Dang, he must be wealthy! LOVE SEEING all that soot on his exhaust! I am betting he's def not having a fuel delivery issue. SHE DUMPS the fuel! Cheers from California
This truck reminds me of an old W model I saw at a few distribution centres in Melbourne in the late 2000s early 2010s that had what looked like, from memory, something like 2 spring heavy duty rear suspension. Certainly wasn't Kenworth or Hendrickson. An interview of the owner of that Marmon would be good. There was a story about it in a magazine years ago
Nice mate
I enjoyed watching Ross the knowledge he has and keeps it real
Rossco is a real person, indeed.
Good to see you haven’t changed a bit Rosco’s, always a funny bugger. Always remember the good old days down a BHP.
@@GregCrow-f8h back when trucking was fun with good blokes we’re all just a bit older and still going
A man who can multi task, talk and work at the same time
A true rarity, Bette 😂
