Grace Slick says her parents approved of her when she got a credit card. In those days they were limited to solvent, well-off people. They weren't being offered to college students.
Interesting to see how Dick communicates with them and relates. Most presenters back then treated them like kids, or oddballs in society. Dick did it just right
I don’t understand why people didn’t like this segment. Perhaps it’s because I’m looking at this thru the eyes of a 40 yr old and not someone who saw this live.
4:55 Weird that Joni would say that because today ''the Canadian flag is considered one of the world's most beautiful flags because of its simple design, measured use of color, and striking appearance''...
Thank you for sharing such historic moments. O i wish we could still have interviews with legends like this in unscripted ways. Nowadays most is fake: artists (who have no talents and sold their soul), hosts (who are puppets for corporate machine) audience (who clap like seals when told so)…
Dang Nash was spot on about the oil and car companies being the problem; unfortunately he was also right about there being a fast chance of stopping them (so far)
73 now, and I remember all these people so well!
what a treat to see all these iconic faces in their prime
That pancho Stills was wearing was on display at the Rock and Roll museum in Seattle years back.
Stills still hanging in there today….and Grace. David has his issues but he’s a fascinating individual.
David passed away in january 2023 :-(

Really? It feels very awkward to me,
@DummyAccount-f1q like hey man, you gotta get down with the scene bro, dig?

Insane lineup of talent
Why don't you show the Robert Young interview on a Dick Cavett show from 1969?

Stills could probably sell the dried mud jeans for big dollars if they still exist and weren't laundered
And the was over 50 years ago,
And the air is progressively harder to breathe.
They're all dead, so at least you have that.

That was David Crosby.
@@bhimabreckenridge6805 ah, gotcha!!!
Joplin and Hendrix both mentioned. Both were dead just 10 months later.
👍👍👍
What a ludicrously contrived and dated stage setting. I was 14 at this time and would have found this vicariously embarrassing.
Indeed, it's groOovy man, coOol, like wow, man!
Smoke another one bro.😂
Exactly...
Crosby tries too hard, phony earthiness. Just be normal, dude.
