I love your idea of keeping an apothecary jar and fill it with whatever -- great idea. I also often give cloth napkins as a hostess gift. Something I really dislike receiving are scented candles and scented soaps.
Have to say Jennifer you've shared some fabulous, imaginative ideas. I'd be happy to receive any one of those. I just hope I can recall a few when I need to take a hostess gift !
You are seriously the best gift giver ever! Great ideas and I especially love the ceramic basket idea for baked goods - so lovely! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Some very nice ideas that I will bookmark and add to my list. Love the flower idea instead of just a vase, I like a gift that keeps on giving. 😊 thanks for sharing.
My rules for host gifts: 1. Never bring alcohol unless you know the person drinks it. You don't want to bring a bottle of wine to an alcoholic or to a person who won't consume it for religious reasons. 2. Never bring anything scented unless you know the person likes and can tolerate scented things. Scent is very personal and some people cannot tolerate artificial scents. 3. Bring something is that it consumable or that the person could use multiples of. For example, my go-to host gift for holidays is a simple mid-sized glass bowl from Crate and Barrel filled with Lindt truffles or Hershey's kisses. The hosts always put it right out for their guests . Then when the chocolates are gone, it's easy for them to find other uses for the simple bowl. Other gifts I've given: A set of four matching beach towels for guests hosting me at a beach or lake, or who have a pool. Beach towels are so versatile and few people have a matching set of four. You can never have enough of them. Also, I like to give my hosts a gorgeous coffee table book on a topic I know interests them, or even one one general interest. For example, a coffee table book about the city where you live is usually a welcomed gift. Finally, for anyone you cooks, I like to bring a large, extraordinary bottle of olive oil. which can be wrapped in a bag for a wine bottle.
So many great, creative, unique ideas! Especially the last one, for people like me and my husband whose pets are their children!! I will be referring back to this video throughout the year.
Fabulous ideas!!! You should repost or link this video during the Christmas season! We exchange gifts with everyone in our courtyard...I need 7 gifts. These are great ideas! These ideas are also perfect for Secret Santa, office gifts, or gift exchange with a dollar amount limit. Thanks for sharing!!!
7 gifts!!! Oh my!! And I suppose you can't give better ones to your favorite neighbors....and skimpy ones to your annoying ones...? LOL I will try to do another gift guide around Christmas! (That gives me plenty of time to think up something creative...) !!
This was terrific 👌🏽. Loved all of your ideas 💡 especially the dish soap dispenser and the flowers and vase!👍🏽. Bringing a doggie gift is a great idea too!!❤🐶. Tfs doll💋
Hi Jennifer, Yes, I did find a nice dish soap bottle looks pretty in my kitchen. It's a Blue flowers with white it matches My blue willow plates. Thanks again for the idea. :)
Thanks Jennifer for the great ideas. I love the dish soap bottle. I have mine in a ghost bottle for Year the pump on it is awesome. Do need a new one. I'll be visiting home good in hopes of finding one. I do like the one you have will match my kitchen :) happy Friday
Yes !!!! Perfect ideas I've booked mark this video for future reference cause honestly there were so many great ideas I won't remember them all....and LOVE that you remembered " FoeFoe" 🐶 I never thought of the pets LOL sometimes that's easier than the humans 😄 thanks again Jennifer great video girl 👍🏽🙂
Thanks Jennifer. All of these are great ideas! I love the scenery in the background, seeing out your window. You look so comfy and cozy, sitting there.I hope you have a wonderful weekend,in spite of the rain, but we do need it for everything to grow. Our Chicago weather yesterday was a real treat.👍👍❤️❤️
Hi Linda! Yes, I was all cozy in that big sweater, then the very next day, was riding around town in a convertible. Back to the warm sweater today. LOL. :)
Great ideas, however most are pricy! I don't usually spent that much $. Always take a gift but sometimes a take a generic bottle of wine, homemade cookies and your suggestion of flowers sans the vase, eeek! So skeptical about giving the hostess soaps or thank you notes or cards. Then I feel like the person will think ' dam now I have to send Debbie a thank you note for her gift'. Lol
