OMG... after more than 15 years of searching ... today I just found it. Apparently this music is performed by the famous Band Incognito ... TQ Incognito
Love this group. I am still listening and jamming to this song in 2021. Love the bass, brass, rhythm section and Maysa vocals. The saxophone is doing his thing.
Dearest! We were jamming to this when it first came out! I hope the YOUNGINZ’ can appreciate the orchestration, Maysa’s TRUE TALENT, and BLUEY’s TIGHT A$$ BASS!
Incognito...always love this song and Smiling Faces. In 2003, as a radio announcer, i had ever interviewed them when they came for a live concert in Makassar - Indonesia
The very first track I listened from Incognito. I must have heard it hundreds of times since 1992. I owe this track very much : it made me aware of Incognito and the acid jazz movement. My ears thank you Bluey !
Me too...😍😍 Love this group. And an honour for me, I went to their 2003 or 2004 live concert in Indonesia 🇮🇩 and Thanx God as a radio announcer that time i've given time to interview them live in studio. What an unforgettable moment in my life 😘😘

Fantastic semi instrumental, written by main man Jean Paul Maunick & Richard Bull, with George Benson like scat by Maysa Leak, from the Tribes, Vibes & Scribes album

I just found this song in my father's old hardisk. I felt in love in the first time I heard it💕 Does this band still stand up to now? I'm just an asian teenager, I know pretty much nothing about this band.
They are a truly off the hook live performance band. They still play around the world. Bluey is truly a good guy too, taking the time to talk to his fans and sign autographs just as if you were his friend
You didn't see this particular guy, because it's not a guy. This IS machine bass. You may have heard this bass line played by an actual human live or on another recording, but not on this album.
@@TheOnlyPommyman For sure. I could drill that line on an actual bass for a year, in this or any other key, and still not get it as tight and clean. Dude understands what bass is for, and also knows how to get a machine to do it right. Brilliant.
1996 le Bataclan, Paname. After the show, walking back to my car thru passage St-Pierre Amelot, we saw shadows inside the emergency exit window. We knocked. A zombie with a wet towel on his head opened with a great smile, and removed the towel : Bluey. He gave me his autograph on a Metro ticket.
Italian local stations overused Incognito for Bumpers, Commercials and Intros... Rtua Aquesio, Rtp Messina (10 anni di storia giallorossa) , Magic TV, Rte 24h with Zugaroni Commercial, telecampione...

I found it last night they played it at Manchester last year,
This track isn't just music; it's a journey through the soul of jazz-funk, masterfully crafted by the legends themselves.
That bassline is so reminiscent to me of the late, great BERNARD EDWARDS!! That feel is IMPECCABLE and INFECTIOUS!
Love this group. I am still listening and jamming to this song in 2021. Love the bass, brass, rhythm section and Maysa vocals. The saxophone is doing his thing.

Maysa Leak's vocal is so clear and so incognito...Love it😘
Anyone know what he said in 3:00 ?
@@LeiPie255 FRANCIS HYLTON plays the BASS. Bluey plays electric rhythm guitar.

One of the best from Incognito.
Started with “what ever it is, I just can’t stop” and back “doored” it with this......I’m in bass heaven
love the climax! this is a masterpiece. Incognito bringing joy to our ears!!!
God, that bassline. Such sweet tone. Nothing like a bunch of compression and a really good bass player.
Actually he told live that the bass and drums were programmed. Oo
Cool
@@pcromano Yep, re-stated in CM this month.

Did you know that the drums and bass-line are played by machines on this track? An example of fantastic programming!

Does this band still stand up to now? I'm just an asian teenager, I know pretty much nothing about this band.
They're still around. Still sound as good as this. BETTER even... look for more songs on UA-cam
They are a truly off the hook live performance band. They still play around the world. Bluey is truly a good guy too, taking the time to talk to his fans and sign autographs just as if you were his friend
Colibri is a Caribbean word meaning hummingbird.... not may people know that!
They sure were hummming on this trac
Bluey is a musical genius
What do you mean the bass line is programmed? It’s just perfectly executed....I’ve seen this guy.....he’s exceptional...the whole band is solid.
You didn't see this particular guy, because it's not a guy. This IS machine bass. You may have heard this bass line played by an actual human live or on another recording, but not on this album.
Yeah, programmed by Richard Bull using an Akai sampler. It’s amazing how realistic he got it.
@@TheOnlyPommyman For sure. I could drill that line on an actual bass for a year, in this or any other key, and still not get it as tight and clean. Dude understands what bass is for, and also knows how to get a machine to do it right. Brilliant.
