Damn this drummer is so tight, what a crazy groovy pocket.
Humble great musicians are priceless.. very enjoyable to watch...
Yeah there very good people …. Even when there not on. There instruments 🥁
So my Doberman started drinking water while I’m watching that 1st groove, and for about 30 seconds he was doing perfect 1/4 note triplet drinks in time with you guys……He’s taking calls for percussion sessions now for anyone interested!
That's is a scientific phenomenon. It is called Boogie. African hunters used rhythmic instruments to time prey during the hunt. Also works with ppl too.
😂
Hahaha
You are my kind of people. Thanks for sharing.
@@dirkmanning8621yoo!!
Can you give some more info about that? 👀
It's so refreshing to see amazing musicians out here that are still humble and chill! So many musicians are out here with the wrong mindset! They all sound GREAT! S/O to Memphis!
I have so much admiration to how dedicated mononeon is to the path of music. All of them are.
MonoNeon is wearing Raggedy Andy but nothing Ragged about his playing. Devin’s grooves are on point, nice and relaxed and intricate.
Groove Heaven 👏🏿👏🏿👌🏿
Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤
Chris is such a great host (and incredible drummer) I like hearing his interview with these dudes.. I would definitely watch more of this kinda content from Memphis Drum Shop!
MonoNeon is a bass legend I like that he doesn’t like to talk he just wants to play same brother same 🤙🏾😅
“I ain’t no damn superstar…psht.”
Love it!
Trust me….. --- YOUR A SUPER NOVA 🔥 💨💨---Optimus prime

This might be the most groovinest episode of “groovin in Memphis”
I appreciate the drummer, he's got a great vibe, and of course bassy nasty. I appreciate y'all.
Devin one of few drummers who knows how to play well and understands the value of pianissimo.
Love the cross stick, and holding correctly.
I like Mono Neon just being about the music 🤗👍🏽
It’s just “TONE & Pocket “ That’ll do!!! %100 of the Job is enjoying who your Playing & Performing with 👊🏾. 9:55 9:57
Guy: man that was funky
Mono: yeah I guess.

That Prince is called Stare
Funkmasterway goT besT cymbals in the game
VIVA MONONEON!!!
🔥
Yep the clap stack is going to be all over the place now But few will use it as tasteful as this touch of velvet drummer
haha, good one! less chops, more groove!
Duval 🙌🏿🙌🏿
Chris...l am waiting on your next video my brother.
mononeon is like 'leave me alone -.-'
22:37 😮😮😮😮😮😮. Jeez LICKS “So tastefully “ placed - MONONEON 🔥💨💨💨💨💨💨💨
-You know what drummer is using a clap stack?
-Who?
-EEEEEVERYOOOONEEEEEE
still ,lovely groove
A groove to drop what cha doing?
What’s up with the upside down bass?
my phone's all the way up and it's still mad quiet.
Mono is a whole threat. He’s an act. That cat has a character. I just feel weird being white and the interviewer goin on about all the brother stuff. It’s musician talk and I hope I count.
Bro get out of here man. I'm white af and bee playing for 20 years blues, funk, soul, jazz and rock. I played with a lot of black people. If YOU feel weird to see three black brothers acting like three black brothers, well that's sus.
You do realize black people feel like outsiders like all the time, unless there are white people who aren't uncomfortable and/or other black people.
You literally aren't in the damn room and you got the nerves to say "I hope I count" - bro count for what??? You are an audience member watching black content.
If you don't wanna watch black content watch something else.
You want them to act white?
You do realize black people perceive us as "doing white stuff" all the same right?
Imma tell you the truth, you, my man, is irrelevant and basically don't count for shit because of your insecure ego and racist BS.
You actin like you were in the room. This is YT man. Stop acting like your a big shot that people should comfort by no being themselves.
You did NOT pass the vibe check, return to cave and shed alone until you get it. Sorry not sorry
Ooooh weeee...are we back.on the plantation?
B1 + B2 + Raggedy Ann X2 = MonoNeon
Ragidy Ann and Andy
Neon must be sweatin to death ?
Same ol shit!
I really wished MN would have taken this seriously and dressed up a bit... LOL
You know we are heading to hell in a hand basket as a society how some one can dress like this bass player and no one seems to see this as an issue.
😂😂😂 better Yet let’s start by seeing your wardrobe !!! Psht…. Mono -Neon Is know for his gaudy Fashion And it’s his signature don’t clap back at the MOMENT “YOU’VE MISSED”
Is he trying to lure little kids with that outfit?
booooooooooooring
that clap stack sounds so damn good
Right! I thought it was a triggered cymbal. Something quite awesome there...
But Dwayne is in the house. Thank you Mononeon.
But the bullet, and bought a clap stack, never looked back, great sound for sure!
It really does tho 👀
Still waiting for the addictive drums 3 update with stacks and stuff I really wish that Addictive Drums 3 was created in supervision of Robert Sput and Nate because we all need Vst access to stacks and stuff.
Mono is a groove monster! he shy and he doesn't like to yank his own chain but his playing does his talking for him he's one of my favorite bass players. Killer
technique pretty much flawless very creative direction can be totally outside with no boundaries he's definitely pushing the
the Limits you have to give this brother props he's doing the dam thang...Big Ups
Agree 100% he should have been in Funkadelic

Mono let’s the bass do the talking… and now I see why. Tough to interview him. His voice reminds me of Dave Chappelle’s crack addict character 😂.
Snare and stack be so tight together, it sounds like a layered sample! Damn.
Devin is really down to earth met him in Colorado super nice dude.
these guys are hella cool. Love the accent they have
Great concept, and the host is killing it
the touch and sound Devon has on the drum really impressed me and his grooves too
I’m from South Carolina and Mono talks just like my grandpa inflections and all 😂😂 a man of few words.
Amazing episode. This made my day
this is my first exposure to these dudes. So much love and gonna search out more. So good. KUDOS MDS!
Seriously won’t be your last
What a fun, funny, uplifting, and refreshing video.
Music is like nothing else in this world. We are blessed for knowing it.
I've been watching this channel for a very long time and this is surely in the Top 3 performances thus far. Keep on Grooving!!🎶🎼🔥
Yo that’s Annabelle original cursed doll on Mono’s leg 🤣 bringing that spooky touch to the groove… thank you for this incredible footage! Chris is an incredible host.
First of all, what does Mononeon know about Ragetty Ann? Youd have to be at least in your 50's! Secondly, that guy is a Super Star. Hes every bit, Bootsy Collins Funky. And more! Really admired that Nostalgic Outfit
I had one as a kid in the early 80s
@@PrinceAsmodeusyou got me curious, so I Googled it. The dolls started in 1915, and they still make them to my surprise. They not as popular and look a lot different than the old school versions. I hadn't seen one since the 70's. My cousin next door had a Giant Ann.
@@Hoprgras to be fair, mine was probably from the 70s
What a duo!
I needed this groove today.. put a big smile on my face and is gett’n me started on the right foot! Thanks y’all!
Yooooooo, devin is my bro from Duuuuuuuuuuvallllll
I’m driving down to y’all today from Nashville!
love that bass line 10 mins in , remimds me of miles dark magus album, love it ,excellent stuff
Incredible musicians! 🎶🔥🥁🎸🔥🎶
- Did MonoNeon play bass on the recorded track Stare on Prince's HitNRun album?
No. Prince did.
@@Ytterdahls cool, thanks. 🙏🏽
@@cassisbrookyou’re welcome 😊 he played bass on most of his earlier albums, and would continue to do so for some songs on most of his later albums as well. Especially the songs that are recorded one instrument at a time, he’d usually play most or everything himself. That’s him on drums too on Stare.
@@Ytterdahls that's so cool! 🥁
Lol. Awesome stack cymbals sounds. Wish I could get such here in Nigeria.
Love that drumkit, walk behind with knowing the existence of that "double cymbal (Clap) sound". No that Neon's Wonderland's Disaster Queen EP is out, it instantly became my most favorite album know. Neon takes place next to my heroes Herbie Hancock & Jeff Beck
Awesome episode indeed. Thank you!
"what's understood ain't got to be explained" Love this wisdom!
If Neon is on Bass, then you just have to jump in and groove there at the end. ahha
Maaan, those are great players 🔥🙏
Cymbals sound nice
Trust me….. if PRINCE 👑 GREEN LIGHTS “Your gift your Style and embrace the Gaudy Colors--- YOUR A SUPER NOVA 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😝🌝NOT a superstar because the whole industry of people getting clout today that are 33% Talented 16:55

14:22 Basquiat & Skittles
Ooooh this is sooo goood! 💃🏼
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌
Dude is almost like a bootsy Collins x godric the grafted
B.Collins 😮 ON STEROIDS 🔥
interviewer is so humble and asks really good questions!
best episode ever!
So good!!!
Damn, that’s gotta be the low volume.
And imma get me some clap stacks
Very very tasteful 👊
Mono represents!
WOW! Totally BADASSSSS!!!
Gold
Little fella got himself some raggedy Anne pantaloons
Stellar
3:00 that little drum lick is so good
So...so...so much MEMPHIS! Right here y'all...groove so deep I walked by and tripped on it!
That's all you got, that was weak? The hand clap, probably the easiest beat in drum history. Bassist is real good...but I don't trust a man that doesn't look a person in the eye... somethin' wrong with that boi.
