My aunt was 23 in 1985, lucky bish got to watch live, David Bowie, Motley crue, Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, Poison, Rolling stones & guns n roses. She died in 1991 from a heart arrest and i never got to meet her in person and hear her own stories😔 all i know is from when they went to concerts with my mom, her little sis.

Man, I love this so much! When I was a kid in the 80s at the height of the "Satanic Panic" that gripped the nation, getting caught watching / listening to this kind of music by my ultra-conservative, ultra-Christian parents was a huge fear of mine. If only I could turn back the hands of time... what an awesome era in which to grow up!

    • @endliberalism4305

There’s nothing wrong with ultra conservative, in fact it’s the ultra liberal that are destroying the nation at this very moment, I hope you aren’t one of them because wether you believe it or not the day of the return of the messiah draweth nigh, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess he is Lord God almighty. His return will make the sounds of motley cruë sound as foolishness

I was only 5 when this album was released,my brother was 9.He loved all different kinds of music, especially this one.I remember him begging my parents to buy this for him.My dad is Catholic, and had a huge issue with the pentagram on the coverMy mom, however, wasn't very religious,so he talked my dad into relenting. She explained that they grew up in the 60's,and back then tons of people hated the music back then as well.Calling rock and role the devils music,as well as the psychedelic, hard rock etc...She had no doubt that my brother just really enjoyed music, and didn't care at all about the "devil worshiping" act they put on.She knew they weren't actually serious about the occult at all.

I remember the first time I heard this song. I was 8 years old in 1983. Grew up in Queens, NYC. I was walking down the street to my friends house and another neighbor a few houses down from mine had his windows open blast Shout At The Devil. I remember hearing the opening chords and somehow being mesmerized. Been a Crue head ever since. I'm now 46 and regularly still blast this as loud as possible while driving. 🤟

    In the beginning
    Good always overpowered the evils
    Of all man's sins...
    But in time
    The nations grew weak
And our cities fell to slums
    While evil stood strong
    In the dusts of hell
    Lurked the blackest of hates
    For he whom they feared
    Awaited them...
Now many many life times later
    Lay destroyed beaten beaten down
    Only corpses of rebels
    Ashes of dreams
    And blood stained streets...
    It has been written
    "Those who have the youth
    Have the future"
So come now children of the beast
    Be strong
    And shout at the devil
