I really want to sue them for false advertising because they fail to mention that you aren't playing a marine. Rather, you play the part of a robot with a two-way monitor.
It's stuck around so long because Mr. Litwak keeps up with the trends, but doesn't forget the older crowds; he knows what the newer kids like, but still keeps hold of stuff for the nostalgia set. I was just born when Fix-It Felix came out, so it's kinda cool to see what folks were into game-wise back then.
I watched all three commercials in chronological order. This was cute. You did a cute thing here, Disney. I also loved the movie. Thank..... Thank you. :')
I thought the film had tremendous potential to then release exactly the video games as they are in the movie - a full-on Hero's Duty and Sugar Rush, for example. I thought they would sell like hotcakes. I was kind of surprised they ended up only releasing sort of 'mini' versions of those games, but maybe I don't understand the problems behind making video games. Still, if there's a Harry Potter lego video game, then why not a real Sugar Rush?
0:04 that music in the background sounds like the Davy Jones’s music box song in pirates of the Caribbean and that should be the music in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

If only Don LaFontaine were still with us, his voice would be perfect for this Nostalgic callback. Either way this and the other ads are great Disney, good job.
Dude they took away Turbo Time! I got a friend who swears up and down Turbo showed up in Pole Position and Daytona USA but he smokes a lot of weed. Ah memories of Litwaks.
I was at one of the Disney world resorts last week and took a stroll through the arcade. Let me tell ya, Disney is missing a major marketing/money-making opportunity in that there is no Fix-it Felix Jr., Sugar Rush or Hero's Duty arcade games. Disney! You're missing a supreme marketing opportunity! If they were smart, there'd be at least a Fix-it Felix Jr. cabinet in each of their resort arcades (and most, if not all of their resorts have an arcade).
Went to a DisneyLand Resort Paris a few years ago & really, this would be nice to have there...Remember the Buzz LightYear attraction (awesome location for Hero's Duty) & ofc the lunapark/arcade hall near the Star Wars attraction...I'm sure "Sugar Rush" or "Fix-it Felix-Jr" would be awesome if they were available over there (Me, I can't wait, going back there in March next year). Of course they could put some other arcade classics in there too, like a Pacman, Donkey Kong Tetris or others ;)
You know what's totally bonk though> Arcades in Japan are FLOURISHING! They have the coolest things there! Big Mario Kart racing booths, Pokemon token dispenser's, dance machines, online arcade games, weird games that make you laugh, EVERYTHING! It stinks that America really neglects this kind of thing :/
Really? Oh come on! I loved Turbo Time! I used to play it all the time. And you know what, now that you said that I thought one of my friends said they saw Turbo in Daytona USA too, but I thought it was just a glitch or something. Weird. Anyway, yeah. Old Litwaks was so awesome!
Last time I played one of those very seriously in the arcade was Time Crisis 2. Then I went back to see an arcade to see if they really had a gigantic arcade shooter machine! It was a Terminator Salvation game.
When I first heard Skrillex would be involved, I was hoping they would use his music would be used for Hero's Duty, to make it look like one of those 360 NOSCOPE HEADSHOT videos. My wish has come true.
Calhoun, and only technically speaking she's a few months old. She was probably programmed to be somewhere between 25 and 30 years old, which is probably the same with Ralph and Felix. Perpetually the same age in the videogame world! :P
On the official Wreak-It Ralph website they exist as flash games along with Fix-It Felix Jr., they feel like generic flash games to me, but Fix-It Felix Jr. is a pretty fun retro style game
Have you been to an Arcade resently? You don't feed quarters into the machine anymore, you use "Power Cards" a Double Points card would give you twice the points for the price of one...sounds like a good deal to me.
the Armor is still Badass looking i can differently see people Cosplaying as this at Anime Conventions in 2013 ! looks a little better then Tron Costumes !
In the movie the characters come directely from the arcade cabinet. So, in theory, they do not age or evolve as the physical game stay the same. To go futher, I may think if there is two identical booth, let's say Sonic, there must be two exact same incarnations of Sonic. It's pretty much the toy story thing with multiple Buzz.
How cool would it be if Hero's Duty was an actual arcade cabinet. I remember they made a Fix-It Felix Jr. arcade machine for San Diego Comic-Con 2012, so why not Hero's Duty or even Sugar Rush?
for Disney World, they should make a Litwaks arcade place featuring all different classic arcade games including fix it felix. when I went there, there was an actual pizza planet from the toy story movie.
@Dominic Adams Don't forget '82 had you walk in and say it's your birthday, '97 you had to have an ID proof of birthday, and 2012 had you bring 2 BIRTH CERTIFICATES to get the card.
You can use one or the other. It's a little cheaper to use the card, as you have to charge it up in advance and it's non refundable, so they already get your money, but they don't want to discourage casual walk-up customers who come by whilst shopping elsewhere in the mall and have five minutes to kill.
the funny thing is these commercials are showing evolution at the end of every commercial there was 2 quarters then 4 quarters now a card also there are different kids going to the arcade
Litwak's hasn't been the same since games like Hero's Duty got put in. I heard they disconnected the Q'Bert machine a few months ago? Geez. Oh well, still go back to play my favorites! Pac-Man and of course Fix-It Felix Jr!
I was on level 99 of the video game on the website and I beat the queen. However, during the cutscene, the queen had already shot 3 plasma blasts and I couldn't use my gun to shoot them to stop them from hitting me. I saw the game over screen before the queen had finished dieing.
seeing as how most of the enemies are locust shaped (insects) then im guessing we can throw gears of war into that mix also helps that calhoun looks like anya stroud.
For an independent local business, Mr. Litwak sure has a pretty nice budget for his advertisements.
Eh... He just slapped the trailer he ripped from UA-cam at the beginning.
Or, the arcade developers paid all the sponsoring bills so Litwack could focus his spending on other things
So mr litwak arcade power card or real wreck it Ralph
"Hero's Duty. It's the biggest duty of all."
Goodnight, everybody!
This could actually be a pretty badass animated spinoff if they played it completely straight and it was like a DC meets Star Wars action film
I'm glad to see those kids have been coming to Litwak's Arcade for over 15 years. That's some dedication.
Hey, can't deny a great classic. Arcades need to come back! They are amazing!
I really want to sue them for false advertising because they fail to mention that you aren't playing a marine. Rather, you play the part of a robot with a two-way monitor.
+Kendra Marybeth Davenport You *are* playing a marine, the robot is what the game characers see since there's no model for the player
+Keiya Bachhuber He's just joking, man.
XD
Hero's Duty. It's the biggest doody of them all!
"Achievement Unlocked: Wiped"
Kendra Marybeth Davenport It's not that kind of duty.
How dare you insult Hero's Duty!
I hope they bring this game- and other games from the movie- to the arcades at the Disney theme parks.
1982: 2 quarters
1997: 4 QUARTERS
2012: *D O U B L E P O I N T S P O W E R C A R D*
Raw Thrills: "Write that down! write that down!!!!"
I'd love to see XBLA or PSN versions of Hero's Duty or Sugar Rush : )
I really like the changes with what you get on your birthday in each decade. Nice little touch.
I would love to play that
I watched all three commercials in chronological order. This was cute. You did a cute thing here, Disney. I also loved the movie. Thank..... Thank you. :')
I love how the clips all cut off when Ralph is about to be shown.
Petition to make Hero's Duty into a fully CGI movie
It could be an entire movie/video game by itself haha! I want it on Steam now xD
I miss sci-fiction for a long time. it could be a new great story. lets film Hero's Duty!!!
i loved this movie, it was so creative :) :) :)
Basically this is a pitch demo for CoD Infinite Warfare
DeNoobGaming something like that

LMFAO
Well, damn. You get bonus points for this, mate.
Gotta give Hero's Duty one prop though. Its the first shooter in a very long time to make a character that actually has a personality....and a face.
One world, one chance, one Doody: Hero's Doody. It's the biggest Doody of all.
That's deep 😂
Skrillex on Disney?
There was at one time a Noisia remix of that song and it was fantastic. Of course it takes Noisia to make Skrillex listenable.
0:31
*Cy - Bug*: STICK 'EM UP, RALPH!
If only Don LaFontaine were still with us, his voice would be perfect for this Nostalgic callback. Either way this and the other ads are great Disney, good job.
This is what inspired me to be a gamer fr all those years ago
I'd love to play this!
I want to live by Litwak's Arcade SO badly. I'd be playing Sugar Rush, Wreck-It Ralph, Hero's Duty, Pac-Man, and everything else everyday.
Dude they took away Turbo Time! I got a friend who swears up and down Turbo showed up in Pole Position and Daytona USA but he smokes a lot of weed. Ah memories of Litwaks.
" I bet you got to watch were you step in a game called Hero's Duty!"
XD
I was at one of the Disney world resorts last week and took a stroll through the arcade. Let me tell ya, Disney is missing a major marketing/money-making opportunity in that there is no Fix-it Felix Jr., Sugar Rush or Hero's Duty arcade games. Disney! You're missing a supreme marketing opportunity!

I envisioned her watching this commercial on her TV or something and bursting out laughing at that line!
Go, Sgt. Calhoun, Go!
I can't wait for the newest installment; Hero's Duty: Ghost-bugs
I Think That "Hero's Duty" Will Have It's Own Movie 1 Day & Maybe Turn Into A Cartoon Series Too.
Some arcades still use tokens/quarters, but some of the franchise arcades have indeed switched over to game cards
I would buy that
Went to a DisneyLand Resort Paris a few years ago & really, this would be nice to have there...Remember the Buzz LightYear attraction (awesome location for Hero's Duty) & ofc the lunapark/arcade hall near the Star Wars attraction...I'm sure "Sugar Rush" or "Fix-it Felix-Jr" would be awesome if they were available over there (Me, I can't wait, going back there in March next year). The final commercial!
I played the arcade verson, I hope it gets a WiiU release :3
WOAH! NICE COMMERCIAL!!!
Really? Oh come on! I loved Turbo Time! I used to play it all the time. And you know what, now that you said that I thought one of my friends said they saw Turbo in Daytona USA too, but I thought it was just a glitch or something. Weird. Anyway, yeah. Old Litwaks was so awesome!

Much as I like the act of putting quarters in a machine for an arcade game, I really like those card things....
This is actually up to date really. Even Chuck E Cheese's are now starting to switch from tokens to Cards you swipe.
When I first heard Skrillex would be involved, I was hoping they would use his music would be used for Hero's Duty, to make it look like one of those 360 NOSCOPE HEADSHOT videos.
My wish has come true.
So it's Starcraft mixed with Time Crisis mixed with Metroid and Call of Duty.
I'd play it. :D
Calhoun, and only technically speaking she's a few months old. She was probably programmed to be somewhere between 25 and 30 years old, which is probably the same with Ralph and Felix. Perpetually the same age in the videogame world! :P
You're one Dynamite Gal!
I live on Route 83! Heroes Duty hereI come!!
On the official Wreak-It Ralph website they exist as flash games along with Fix-It Felix Jr., they feel like generic flash games to me, but Fix-It Felix Jr. is a pretty fun retro style game
Man This Game Must Be A Trailer For 2020
Have you been to an Arcade resently? You don't feed quarters into the machine anymore, you use "Power Cards" a Double Points card would give you twice the points for the price of one...sounds like a good deal to me.
It's definitely a great touch!! Watch the 1997 Sugar Rush commercial in 240p to get that 1997 look, haha!!
"It's the biggest duty of them all" :D
it looks like this duty is
*puts on sunglasses*
the biggest duty of all
the Armor is still Badass looking i can differently see people Cosplaying as this at Anime Conventions in 2013 ! looks a little better then Tron Costumes !

It IS Ralph. It was taken from the Movie Wreck-It-Ralph
@Dominic Adams Don't forget '82 had you walk in and say it's your birthday, '97 you had to have an ID proof of birthday, and 2012 had you bring 2 BIRTH CERTIFICATES to get the card.
It's the biggest duty of all...
BEST LITWACKS ARCADE GAME EVER besides i never played a arcae first person shooter
game in a long time
I'm SO going to Litwak's for my birthday next month! Who could pass *that* amazing offer up?!
You can use one or the other. It's a little cheaper to use the card, as you have to charge it up in advance and it's non refundable, so they already get your money, but they don't want to discourage casual walk-up customers who come by whilst shopping elsewhere in the mall and have five minutes to kill.
the funny thing is these commercials are showing evolution at the end of every commercial there was 2 quarters then 4 quarters now a card also there are different kids going to the arcade
oh and those space dogs look quite interesting
Litwak's hasn't been the same since games like Hero's Duty got put in. I heard they disconnected the Q'Bert machine a few months ago? Geez. Oh well, still go back to play my favorites! Pac-Man and of course Fix-It Felix Jr!
Epic win, I just saw the movie!
I'm Commander Shepard, and this my favorite game in the Citadel.
THE BIGGEST DUTY OF ALL!!!!
0:44 I can't say that without a straight face. Can you? January 19, 2019, 11:48am
"Its the BIGGEST Duty of all!" LOL.
Sugar Rush Speedway is 15 years older than Hero's Duty, yet it looks way better.
I was on level 99 of the video game on the website and I beat the queen. However, during the cutscene, the queen had already shot 3 plasma blasts and I couldn't use my gun to shoot them to stop them from hitting me. I saw the game over screen before the queen had finished dieing.
Is this birthday thing gonna play a big part in the film or somthing? That would be very interesting...
heh, notice how with each newer commercial, you have to jump through more hoops to get your birthday gifts, like showing state ID?
I.fucking.love.the.dubstep.that.is.fucking.playing.in.the.fucking.background.
they dont make ads for arcade games. and in 2012 heores duty would be on a home system. this movie should have taken place in 92
If you guys are looking for the name of the song, it's the noisia remix of bug hunt
Watch in 1080p regardless of connection speed to get the full 2012 effect.
seeing as how most of the enemies are locust shaped (insects) then im guessing we can throw gears of war into that mix also helps that calhoun looks like anya stroud.
There's a Dave & Buster's in Minnesota, they use cards instead of tokens.
ROFLOLMFAO! XD
I SWEAR TO GOD I'VE NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD AT THE WORD 'DUTY'
"It's the biggest duty of all"
They should make more arcade games nowadays.
you know i should be glad i should take this duty a very very VERY BIG DUTY for me
You better watch where you're stepping there!
0:45 You know, IN THE BATHROOM! *ding*
Yes it is
It's the biggest duty of all
i need to know what skrillex song they play during the heroes duty!
@PlazmaClone you know this is from wreck it ralph right?
0:30 a soldier seem to be running away from the enemies....is that ralph???
Allen yeah it is
Allen No, that was Markowski.
Oh yeah, Markowski. That coward.
