    Can't wait to grow my nails! I can see that for me at least, I would have to restrict myself to going through the exercises for at least a month to become anywhere near capable of producing a decent sounding tremolo but that is precisely what I intend to do when my nails are long enough!
    Thanks for this video Beatrix, it's really going to help!

    It was supposedly Segovia who said that tremolo should be considered an arpeggio on one string. Of course he may not have been the first person to state that.
    I'm poor at tremolo largely because I've suffered tension problems for many many years. On the very odd day it works. Snail practice can help enormously.
    I agree with Beatrix that the 'a' finger (and pinky tension) can be problematic. My suggestion is to 'train' the 'a' finger, think accuracy rather than having a mindset of building big strong muscles. Don't forget that 10 year old girls can play some fairly advanced repertoire and they have less than half my hand strength.
    Just my thoughts. Feel free to criticise.

    I hope my comment will get to you. Is it okay if i rest my pinky on the body of the guitar when im trying to play a piece?? I’ve been practicing tremelo for a week now. Barely see anyone resting their pinky who’s doing so. It makes me insecure about my speed of playing a piece

    • @beatrixguitar
      @beatrixguitar  Рік тому +4

      Yeah well, I specifically talk about that habit in one of my other videos, but I highly advise you not to do it. At the beginning it may feel like it’s helping you but it will prevent you from improving after a certain point and to play fast pieces 😞 have a look at my picking hand related videos on the channel! And hey, good that you are asking these questions, I’m sure you’ll get to find your own technique!

    Hello, thank's for this video. So much does exist on YT but your's is pretty good. The rasquado exercice is maybe the best exercice. One question if i may have one is : how did it take you to master this insane technique ?. As a classical guitarist (not a professionnal one), i have decided to get more involved on this technique last year exactly on August ; just one year !. I'm using all the pattern but as you mentionned the guy A is the most complicated to master specially with the M one but i don't give up. Recuerdos is a fabulous tremolo piece but not the only one, the Regondi's one are awsome. I'm working on Reverie Op19 and for a couple of days now on Air Varié Op1 which has a tremolo part two.

    • @beatrixguitar
      @beatrixguitar  9 місяців тому

      It took me maybe 2 years to make it somewhat even but I was already playing for years when I started tremolo. But then again, it took several years to make it very soft and to make it sound effortless (it doesn’t feel effortless hahaha). I know it’s probably not what you want to hear but it takes a long time so you have to come up with a way to enjoy the process more and think less of an end goal. I’m so happy to hear when someone picks up classical guitar, it truly is a beautiful instrument 😊 have fun!

    Hi, I like your work but I have a bi question. Why now 4 finger tremolo? If you want it to sound sustained like a violin it should be the way to go. Is it because some harmonies can be too harsh with the attack of a guitar?
