I think am going to turn to the Torah as the New Testament doesn’t depict a god of love if he is going to torture the vast majority in hell eternally as the bible literally teaches and predestines people to go there as well - it portrays god as very cruel. Only issue is that if the Jews go by the Old Testament then I cant find the teaching of the soul being reincarnated or journey taking max 12 month to reach heaven ?
There’s a reason why this subject isn’t talked about much in the actual Hebrew Bible. It’s because it isn’t as important as what “other religions” make it out to be. What I mean is, the ‘eternal hellfire for anyone who doesn’t believe this way or that way about someone else’ type of religion. Because the Rabbi’s exact words aren’t found in the text doesn’t mean they can’t be true. It just means He allows humanity to speculate in this area. If we really think about that, we can get a clear picture of which “religion” is actually built on solid biblical foundations, and which are not. Hint: Anything that “adds” to the Torah and says if you don’t follow it you burn in eternal torment, is probably not the foundational solid path, as the children of Israel were told not to add anything to it, nor take away from it.
as far as i know, body and soul after death still have connection before decomposition, if his/her body is being cremated, the soul will feel burned either after death.
It’s the equivalent of a forced eviction without a notice. It takes just as long for your soul to return to God as it would have taken without the body being destroyed, just more painful. Think of it like ripping a bandaid off, but the bandaid is over a hairy area and the glue of the bandaid is as strong and binding as hot glue. Your soul will go through a lot of pain. It also makes it so your soul has to wait much longer to be reincarnated in the End of Days when the dead return and resurrect. Cremation doesn’t just burn your skin and organs, it destroys your bones. Bones don’t turn to dust, they don’t decompose, for the purpose of having that original form to rebuild upon. Your soul can’t return to your body if it was destroyed down to the bones. As far as what the difference would be between a new body and our original, undistorted body, is a great question to ask the Rabbi, but it’s better to not cremate anyway. It’s torturous to the body and the soul. Our bodies decay naturally. Let it be natural and return to nature. It’s not our bodies to destroy. If God wanted us to be burned, there would be a lower life form such as a worm that decomposes bones, and we would never have discovered ancient skeletons nor dinosaur bones.

This is a very complicated and mystical answer lol, but basically most people are not conscious of their past lives bc those memories are so deeply embedded in the subconscious/unconscious levels of our soul. Jewish mystics say that people may remember brief moments of past lives through deja vu or special types of dreams and meditation, where you are tapping into the deeper chambers of your mind. For instance a person who is worthy (particularly a tzadik) can be trained to enter altered states of consciousness where they may become aware of memories from past lives, which can be helpful in doing teshuvah and fulfilling one’s tikkun (correction).
In some ways we do, but not in the sense we are familiar with. We don’t remember past lives from previous bodies, the way we remember what we did yesterday, because we are no longer part of that body anymore. It is also to give us a fresh start. No baggage. Think of it like school years. I don’t know about you, but I never carried the same notebooks and textbooks each new year. We always got new books, new pencils, maybe even a new book bag and folders. It prevents the trauma of death and past sins from burdening us, but we aren’t exactly going in completely blind. Many people have strange moments of Deja vu, or gut feelings. These are how we “remember” past lives. Think of it like how animals that have never been bitten by a snake still panic at the sight of a garden hose. It’s similar to that. We have a sort of “instinct”, unique to each and every one of us. Some of us share similarities instincts, having lived similar past lives, but still different when it comes to other situations. That’s why you’ll have two people raised the exact same way and yet turn out differently. Each of us have differently aged and experienced souls. People who are completely careless and overindulge in many sins? Likely new souls, akin to the souls of the humans destroyed during the Great Flood. Mature youths that are modest, humble, and wise for their age? Likely an older soul that has outgrown and already experienced that wicked nonsense.
This Rabbi seems like a very likable individual & he sure is good at "spinning a yarn" but nothing he is saying here is scriptural. I'd like to know where this Rabbi is getting his idea about reincarnation because it's not scriptural rather it's a central tenet in the majority of Indian religious traditions such as Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism.
What has been called "hell" is essentially what is really known as "Outer Darkness" To leave Earth one has to go through Outer Darkness. If you remain in outer darkness it is hell... If one is attached to anything human, personal beliefs/emotions/etc. then one cannot usually get out of outer darkness very easily... So that is the brief short explanation...
I was the last one to speak on the phone to my Grandpa just before he died and he was saying on the phone get my mother get my mother tell her to come and get me out of here. He was in the hospital. He died the next day. I came home from his funeral I cried on and off for a couple weeks but each day I kept saying " Go to the light Grandpa , please go to the light", because It felt like he was still around , and I also apologized to him that I could not get his mother to help him when he was so frightened , she has been dead since 1984 , so impossible for me to do. Some one told me once that we can help our loved one's cross over and look for the light by speaking to them and to just keep telling them its ok to let go of this world and its okay and it will be okay, go now and find the light, find Nanny , find your mother, I hope I was able to help him after because I know I let him down when he was begging me to get his mother and get him out of the hospital.
Wow. This is some very radical thoughts. No biblical reference, etc. Careful of this type of deception wrapped up in a nice little old rabbi title. I feel many will find hell to be a little more disturbing than this tip toe through the tulips response. Reincarnation? Really. Sounds like anyone of any false faith etc could find something in common with this false teaching. I pray you find truth in HaShem through His Mashiach who has come and will return. Blessings
The Bible also says the dead know nothing. The Bible talks about the resurrection, it talks about the second death, eternal punishment is eternal death, for the wages of sin is death, and death is very much as it is described in Genesis. The hell that pop culture believes in came to Catholicism (and eventually protestantism) via Islam through the Moorish invasions and the Ottoman Empire. Hell does exist in the Quran, but outside of the resurrection there is no mention of an immediate afterlife at all in the Bible. Soul sleep? Yes. Immediate afterlife? No. Eternal life (consciousness) in hell? No. Destruction/Second death/Annihilationism? Yes.
I really don't understand why there is the distinction between a human soul and an animal soul? I can understand that God's creatures are not equal in the material world, but in the spiritual world all souls should be equal. They can only be in the different stage of development, but essentially they should be the same i.e. the soul. If there is the distinction between a human soul and an animal soul then an animal soul will be always different (less capable?) than the human soul no mater of it's level of development. This sounds very unfair to me. And God is not unfair.
Genesis 1:26-28 ---> "Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Genesis 2:7 ---> "Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being."
That sounds unfair from a narrow point of view, and I don’t mean to disrespect you in saying so. To call that unfair is tantamount to calling it unfair that angels have audience with God and have easy access to both the spiritual and the physical worlds. All souls come from God, but not all souls are equal. Animal souls are much more concealed than human souls from Godliness. The fact that they are so inferior to mankind, even being fearful by instinct and subservient in many instances, is further proof of that. They lack the capability of free will, hence why even when you can educate an intelligent animal, it often reverts to its natural ways. Look at the many instances of “trained” animals attacking and maiming and killing. They don’t know it’s wrong because they lack that level of understanding. Human’s are as close to God as any physical being can get. We can choose to be destructive, or to create. We can choose or inflict death, or we can promote and even create life. We can be unholy, or we can be holy. Animals don’t have that choice. Plants have even less of a choice than that, because they can’t traverse and hunt and mate. They can’t be led by man for the sake of servitude. They can serve man by being a useful plant, such as an oak tree with its good wood, but it’s not really like they can resist the way an animal can when it fights or flees. Plants are subject to whatever we or animals inflict upon them. Rocks are even lower than plants, since they aren’t even alive. They don’t grow, they just exist. The more a vessel can do, the stronger the soul that is necessary to operate said vessel. What would be unfair is a very godly soul, that can be capable of operating a human body to perform God’s Will, being trapped in a rock. Maybe that rock will be used to build a synagogue, or maybe it’ll just be buried beneath the waves, but that powerful soul was wasted on something that can’t do anything, not even live and promote life with exchanging O2 with CO2 or vice versa. The fact that there are lesser souls is fair, since nothing is being wasted, not even a soul.
You want a dog, squirrel or lion to have a soul that is Divinely connected directly to G-d as humans are, who are "created in His image"? For what reason? Why can't they be different? Everything has a "soul", rocks, trees, etc. You want your G-dly soul to be the same as that of a rock? A bee? A slug? Etc? If you say yes, though not expecting an answer here, you don't really value the beautiful, unique, intimate, relationship people enjoy with our Creator, which is a shame. Tell G-d after you die that you would prefer to be a rock, or whatever you choose. L
Thank you all for the answers. I certainly appreciate the diversity in the material world but somehow I expect the uniformness of souls. Perhaps under the infuence of some NDE stories which suggested something like that. Either other creatures do no have soul at all or if they do that we are all on the same way of development i.e. that each human soul was an animal or even a plant soul before it learned to be a human soul. Why a plant soul can not experience ever how is to be a human? Is not that a waisted soul? I know that nothing like that is written in Tora or Bible but these are my honest thoughts in the search for a truth. Of course, I do not want to offend anyone.
Body n breath makes a soul. Soul that sineth it shall die. Bible says the SPIRIT of God is in my nostrils ,the breath of life is in me. Compare to Genesis. God breathed into man's nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul ( person).
@smallbeginning2 even in the new testament the description of hell sounds a lot like earth. Here we have a forever fire in the sky. There's is darkness. There's "nashing of teeth." I'm not sure what I believe anymore. I am more into wanting to know. Faith can only get me so far. I've studied all religions. Even read books I won't mention here.
Thanks for videos. Im not jewish but must say that what you spoke confirms what I have always been thinking but not sure if I was correct. Thanks for confirmation of my thoughts. Anothet thing is, are we old souls because I believe we were all created the day GOD spoke life with creation? So all of us living or dead are existing for thousands of year since creation as GOD said HE knew us before being born. Also do you think that we volunteered to comee to earth to show GOD we can pass a test?
means you can be a killer, a thief, commit genocides, and then spend 11 month in "HELL" and then eternity in heaven, what kind of justice is this, this can't be from god, god is justice
Because God is merciful and loving - just like a father corrects and then forgives - would you rather have a Christian god who would punish forever because that isn’t punishment it’s torture .
It may take up to 12 months max huh. And are we speaking from personal experience? Not taking an antagonistic line of inquiry but really -- how is it you've come by this very specific information and can assert it with such confidence? Am I the only person watching this thinking "Uhhh OK, fella."
To be permanently separated from God means to cease to exist. People who are in gehinnom exist, therefore they still have some sort of connection to God, who is the source of existence. And plus, gehinnom is only temporary, not forever.
@@EinSofLearning what about man’s free will? What if man doesn’t want redemption or to be in Gods presence? It would seem like God would permit these souls to exist in a place called Hell.
@@DF-ei9kc That’s a good point. Free will is def something that God has given us to choose our own paths in life and determine our own spiritual destiny. But that doesnt mean that God is indifferent to our choices or that He would abandon us to eternal damnation. God wants what is best for his children even when they are too ignorant to know better. @@DF-ei9kc The way I was taught by my rabbi is that when a person sins it creates a klipah (shell) which conceals the light of their soul. Meaning you can never really change your essence, but the level at which you are conscious of your Godly essence can vary.

It's not human consciousness... The consciousness of a human is a result of the soul being given HUMAN faculties of intellect. The soul has its own awareness of its own essence, and in that awareness it suffers as a result of being unable to express itself to the extent that it should be capable of.
@@love-xo4rd Human consciousness requires a human brain - it is built to store the consciousness that a human has. In Chassidut it tells how the soul is agonizing when it descends into a human body, since even that is a limitation to its full potential - but it accepts the descent as necessary to be able to draw closer to God through physical mitzvot/Godly commandments, which can only be done by a physical body.

I'd like to know where this Rabbi is getting his idea about reincarnation because it's not scriptural rather it's a central tenet in the majority of Indian religious traditions such as Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism.
Brilliant answers! ❤️
I was overwhelmed by anger and felt like Pandora's box of demons coming out.
The fact that this man is going hell is sad
Pray for him.
a friend of mine who's 7da just died, im doing kadush for him
What has been called "hell" is essentially what is really known as "Outer Darkness" To leave Earth one has to go through Outer Darkness.
Does that mean that people living with chronic pain will transfer quickly?
Yes.
Other than the belief in hell, I agree with your statement.
Baruch Hashem.
Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Genesis 2:7 ---> "Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being."
A human has both aspects to them. Each has a G-d given purpose. Rabbi Friedman has videos on the subject.
I wonder what it looks like where our souls adjust . If it’s not heaven I wonder if it looks scary or not
are these ads kosher?
i stand with Joseph
Body n breath makes a soul. Soul that sineth it shall die. Bible says the SPIRIT of God is in my nostrils ,the breath of life is in me. Compare to Genesis. God breathed into man's nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul ( person).
Iam sorry sir but this is not biblical
Why would a Rabbi worry about the Bible?
Hell is new testament. It isn't mentioned in the Old Testament.
@@inov8shun is that true? Lucifer is in the old testament right. Or does it only talk about death as the end
@smallbeginning2 Lucifer or הֵילֵל was cast out of heaven to where? Not hell, but here. There's a physical death, but there is no spiritual death.
Good segment
Thanks Rabbi
Yes rabbi , ive had flashes of different time periods in dreams., but the person in those dream sequences resembledeach other.
@J C thanks will do
You will know it once you are in hell . You will surely be getting worried
this sounds so untrue. There are many jewish literatures dealing with suffering in hell.
IS THIS IN THE BIBLE ???? HOW DID U COME UP WITH THIS???

But isn't souls who never get their tiken?
means you can be a killer, a thief, commit genocides, and then spend 11 month in "HELL" and then eternity in heaven, what kind of justice is this, this can't be from god, god is justice
Hebrews 9:27). It is appointed unto man to die once, and then the judgment.
Absent from the body, present with the Lord.( 2 Corinthians 5:8).
Where are you getting this from? Have you died and returned? This is not based on Gods word.
Where is the maximum 12 written?
🤔🤔🤔🤔
No Jesus=no eternal life. He is the only way to heaven.
If that is true the only a tiny relative few will make it and the rest suffer eternally in hell - that’s your god of love ?
There is definitely eternal separation from God. That is what we call hell
Think of God like a loving father-He always gives his children a chance to correct their mistakes. A loving dad will always give his misbehaving children a way to change their ways and return home-even if they fail 1 million times.
@@EinSofLearning Doesn’t sin and evil actually change our nature though? It makes me think of Lord of the Rings with Sméagol. (Idk if you’re a Tolkien fan or are familiar with the story) Of course he could be forgiven and even Frodo pities him for the state he is in, but it wouldn’t seem like he could even be good if he wanted to be anymore because he has actually become his evil nature.
What are your thoughts on this?
@@DF-ei9kc The way I was taught by my rabbi is that when a person sins it creates a klipah (shell) which conceals the light of their soul. Meaning you can never really change your essence, but the level at which you are conscious of your Godly essence can vary.
I did not know I’m a perfect because I am a woman 😊
I'm first in line. What's taking so long!!

I like these ideas a lot but Where does this Philosophy come from? I don’t believe the Torah teaches of these 2 hour to 12 month max time sentences in hell and I know it doesn’t teach about reincarnation. These ideas sound far more Buddhist than anything else
My question is where are truly evil people like Hitler? I'd like to believe the truly evil people don't get to come back in any shape or form they live an after life of pure fear and pain.
He’s in hell.
wow so some animals could be trapped in animals observing us with human conscious???????????? it’s a punishment but it also makes me really afraid of my surroundings. like could my pets be a past friend ???? my pet i love him so much but it’s just so scary to think he could be observing as a human and not as a cat …. how can you how of an animal has a human reincarnated inside ????
It's not human consciousness... The consciousness of a human is a result of the soul being given HUMAN faculties of intellect. The soul has its own awareness of its own essence, and in that awareness it suffers as a result of being unable to express itself to the extent that it should be capable of.
@@ysiegel okay thanks for this !
@@ysiegel so it’s a not in a human body so that means it can’t access its full human consciousness?
@@love-xo4rd Human consciousness requires a human brain - it is built to store the consciousness that a human has. In Chassidut it tells how the soul is agonizing when it descends into a human body, since even that is a limitation to its full potential - but it accepts the descent as necessary to be able to draw closer to God through physical mitzvot/Godly commandments, which can only be done by a physical body.
@@ysiegel thanks this is great explaination thanks for understanding perfectly what i was trying to ask by my question ! Thanks so much ! I understand
So, if everyone gets to go to heaven why bother with religion?
The purpose is to create heaven on earth. :)
Religion whose purpose is the get to the afterlife has a tendency to be really violent or cynical.
as A noahide, we need to fulfill the 7 commandments based on Genesis 9

But, what saved my life in the South was I kept my hand secured on the lock to the front door of my home as a serial killer/child predator attempted to enter.
