I am not saying that if you disagree with this video, if you disagree that Trixie is Trans, that you're a bigot. That you're a transphobe. As a matter of fact, that end spiel had nothing to do with Trixie. I was generally talking about the fandom as a whole. There's a lot of hate in this fandom, and my point was that it's gone unchecked for too long, and people should probably start doing something about it. You can disagree with this video, and you're not a transphobe for doing so. To be honest, rewatching the end, I don't know how so many people came away with the impression that "If you disagree with me, you're HOMOPHOBIC." That's not what I said at ALL.

Fluttershy hates being the center of attention and I really don't see either her or Pinkie to be the ones to ruin someone else doing something that makes them happy. I feel like people brush over the fact that, during the final Magic Duel, what finally tips Trixie over into believing Twilight’s magic is Twilight “apparently” using a spell to turn a mare into a stallion… obviously that doesn’t concretely prove anything but I feel like it’s worth putting in with the rest of the info/evidence we have
i adore the idea that trixie is trans, but i'd also like to mention Magnet Bolt: in the show, he's a background character stallion, but in the toys (specifically the blindbag minifigs) he was made with a twilight mold (since he's a unicorn and there wasnt a unicorn stallion at the time). in the first iteration of the minifig, he had the eyelashes, but they were removed later on! the description's pronouns werent fixed, though. not exactly sure what episode he appears in, but his vectors were allegedly in the files for the earlier s1 episodes, and i think it was possibly the first. the toys had to be in production before the show iirc, so i like to think of him as transmasc :3

As a trans woman, as much as I absolutely ADORE this headcannon, but the old script calling Trixie a boy when we already know she was originally imagined as a stallion really isn't evidence of her canonically being trans, just that she was rewritten before the show published 😂 I mean, I don't think Celestia got demoted from queen to princess lol Anyway, Trixie is the GREAT AND trans AND POWERFUL I just think that's funny lol
I hated Boast Busters!! I love Trixie and looking back on the Boast Buster's episode makes me so mad with how the girls treat her. She was NOT harming anyone or making fun of anyone UNTIL the girls started to say she's making it all up. She's a performer, of course stuff she's saying is made up. It is not her fault a couple of FOALS believed her stories were true. She had a full right to get rid of ponies who were ruining the show for her audience.
I think (in the earlier days of the fandom at least) a lot of the homophobia came from overcorrection in a way? Like you’d have these hecklers constantly calling any boy or man who watched MLP gay, so it’s not surprising some of the bronies just ended up getting way too defensive and being like “no I’m not gay! I don’t want anything to do with gay people!!” But it’s over a decade later, LGBT people and adults watching cartoons when they’re not the target demographic have both been normalized, so there’s even less of an excuse to be bigoted now.
The problem will be that people will still be bigoted, and that's not going to change any time soon. It's just that the bigoted people will simply consider the normalization of things like this as equally wrong.
Just the fact Trixie was originally written as a boy probably confirms it. I've also made a character who was originally intended to be one gender, and when I later swapped it I was like "What if they were trans." And I don't doubt that's the exact process she had. Edit: I'm trying to say I think Lauren might've been referring to Trixie as the trans character. I don't actually think she's still canonically trans. It also doesn't mean Trixie HAS to be trans, I'm more thinking about silly things writers tend to do. I'm fully aware that this doesn't automatically make Trixie trans and she could still be cis.
The difference is that you chose to make your character trans when you changed their gender. So your character was canonically trans. You're also the ultimate authority when it comes to your own stories. Just because Trixie was originally conceptualized to be one gender, it doesn't mean it makes her trans because the final result is the opposite gender. And it's canon that she was female even back when she was roughly the age of the CMCs. If she's trans, then she would've transitioned at a very young age, well before the age where she'd be able to make that assessment.

While it won't stop me from adopting a new headcannon, I'm not going to pretend it's 100% cannon when it's not. Not here to argue, just want to correct my wording lol

I'm not sure about homophobia, but at the very least it's assumed everyone's straight unless proven otherwise. Scootaloo has lesbian aunts, but when the CMC decides that their teacher needs a partner, they automatically assume she'd want a guy. That's pretty similar to a lot of society today, where yeah they'll tolerate queer people, but they're gonna assume everyone's straight.

As a queer person, I don't think it's homophobic to think that she is not trans. I grew up with the show and never thought of her as trans. It is totally fine to believe that she is trans (your arguments are very interesting btw), but so is believing that she is not. I'm a transwoman, and while I do like to headcanon Trixie as trans, beyond presuming Faust was referring to her, I don't really feel we have definitive "proof" she is canonically trans, per se. Animation errors are easy to dismiss as just that. She doesn't have a noticeable AMAB signifier like, for instance, the body shape of stallion. Also, early versions of scripts get changed dramatically all the time. If there's no other season one gender swaps in rough drafts, it might lend credence to the theory Faust is referring to Trixie though. But yeah, headcanons and fancanons of her as trans are something I do appreciate, and as far as I know, she's the strongest candidate for being whom Faust is talking about. At the end of the day, it's just stuff that can be validating to think about. Love the video either way. Also, yeah, PLEASE do not record your main roll on a Sony handycam again, lmao

With the exception of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. I hated how everyone else treated Trixie in her debut episode. If she'd been a powerful sorceress who was boasting about her skills and saying that she was above the likes of Celestia and Luna, I'd understand why the Mane Six would be pissed at her. But they literally ruined her show, embarrassed her and booed her out of town for the crime of *gasp* being a stage magician. Imagine how much hate people would've gotten if they tried to heckle Houdini (or, Hoofdini, in MLP's case). Plus, she wasn't even at fault for bringing the Ursa Minor to Ponyville. That was all on Snips and Snails. She only bragged that she could beat an Ursa Major. She didn't think that anyone would actually try to bring one to town.
Plus, in Magic Duel. She was clearly acting under the influence of the Alicorn Amulet, which was manifesting her frustrations towards the Mane Six to the extreme. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the Amulet was responsible for turning her into a tyrannical town-enslaver. But I digress. No Second Prances onwards, I liked seeing her character development. She truly came into her own and her redemption arc and friendship with Starlight is honestly beautiful. In fact, I still prefer Startrix over Starburst.
Every single piece of evidence is ultimately non-conclusive and based on huge stretches. More likely, is that the fandom grabbed at straws, and then FORCED their identity onto a character just so they could try and claim it as theirs. It isn’t said, hinted, or even implied in the show. It’s not canon at all. It’s just fandom headcanon and nothing more.

I honestly don't know why almost everyone from the main six seems to have a vendetta against her. Like yeah, she lied about the Ursa Major and showed off her magic a bit too much, but it is also important to keep in mind that it is in a way her persona or act that she puts up because she's a performer and it's her job to show off and make a good show. The second time, on the other hand, she was under the amulet's control, like Rarity also was, so I wouldn't say it's entirely her fault what she did. Also, I don't get why Twilight doesn't like her at all. Like I know she might be more overprotective over her student than she would be over herself, but she gave everyone a second chance, even Starlight, but she seemed to not really consider it at all for Trixie. My theory is that Twilight personally hates showing off, so seeing Trixie do it, may remind her of how she could seem like to other ponies, so she dislikes that in herself in a way and therefore is more critical of Trixie, but I don't know.
Using the fact that Trixie started in development as a male character as proof that the final version of her transitioned, is literally like saying Pinkie Pie canonically used to be a pegasus.

I believe Faust herself said that Trixie was not the character that was envisioned to be trans, but I don't have the source for that, so I could be mistaken. The thing to keep in mind though, is that A) it is not uncommon for tweaks to be made during the writing process, and anything that was changed before airing is not canon, and B) unless the word from superiors came down that the eye gradient and bubble were meant to be put in as that of a male rather than female pony, or the layout artist in question did it intentionally to indicate that this character displays certain masculine traits, then it really wouldn't indicate their transness as far as the studio is concerned. Personally, I doubt Studio B did anything to intentionally indicate that this character is meant to be trans, and find the animation error (if you'd even call it that) explanation far more likely

To start, I have no issue with what people headcanon or see Trixie as. Honestly, headcanon whatever you want, but I don't think saying that Trixie is trans as a one-hundred percent confirmed *canon* fact is necessarily correct. For one, the eye shine. I don't think that an animation bug/error should be ever be used as evidence in a discussion like this, due to how flimsy and random they can be. For example, the multiple "Unicorns." Who have appeared with wings, only to have them disappear in another episode, only to never have them ever again in any seasons in the future, due to the bug finally being a thing of the past (Unless more show up in the most recent seasons, which I don't think is the case.) Would you also consider the duplicated ponies to be canon? What about the bug shown where Rainbow's neck is bent at an uncomfortable angle? Where is the line drawn, when it's convenient for our theories? And as the final note to this, the eye shine was corrected in season seven, as shown in episodes like Uncommon Bond and Frenemies, which I think is mentioned in the video, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. I would just post the link, but UA-cam will delete it. I mention this to show that what was originally conceptualized is no longer canon in the final version. The original should be discarded as a fun "What if." Rather than as anything officially canon, because if we *do* consider it canon, it would also be canon that Tempest is an Alicorn, originally male, and Princess Celestia/Luna's long-lost brother. Is there a point you can make for Trixie being trans using this evidence to support a headcanon? Sure, I suppose, but I just don't think it's enough evidence, or even concrete enough evidence, to accurately and assuredly claim that Trixie is trans. No stop, fully canonical, as canonical as Princess Luna being Princess Celestia's sister. I don't mean to make this post as a "Gotcha!" If Cyliestia was a queen in the early drafts that does not mean that she is a queen in the show. How the heck does that mean that Trixie is trans? Don't get me wrong, there is a huge chanse shes trans but her original draft being a guy has literally nothing to do with that. A character being a separate gender in the first draft from the final one isn't a transition.

I mean, it's _always_ weird and stupid, but just from the top of my head we have - *canonically*, for the most part - the following: - two lesbian background pony couples (Lyra/Bon Bon and Aunt Holiday/Auntie Lofty), one of which marries and one of which is directly related to a main character - two lesbian protagonist couples (Rainbow Dash/Applejack in FiM and Applejack/Rarity in EqG) - another bisexual protagonist (Sunset Shimmer) - an implied gay background couple (Curly Winds/Wiz Kid) - multiple episodes explicitly _against_ racism - a different trans pony (Caramel, who appears as a Big Mac-esque stallion, then as a smaller stallion, then as a mare named Toffee) - an implied lesbian couple (Vinyl Scratch and Octavia) - an explicitly lesbian background pony _literally named Sappho_ - multiple LGBTQ+ staff members and voice actors - an overall theme of acceptance This all starts out in _season 1._ It's not like you could miss it, what with Zacora's episode.

Not justifying the main 6 but no one is innocent here Since unicorns exist, magic isn't as mystifying in their world as it is in ours. Were they right to heckle her, though? No, of course not. But they did have a good reason. She was bragging. Trixie was in the wrong for bragging that she's the most powerful unicorn in the world when she isn't. And if Trixie hadn't bragged about defeating an ursa major (which was a lie), snips and snails (being kids) wouldn't have brought in an ursa minor to prove how powerful she is. So, in the end, Trixie caused all this.

I strongly doubt she's trans. She has the body of a default mare and the technology in G3 isn't advanced. Even her going the route of consistently putting a spell on herself to appear female seems farfetched considering she was flabbergasted with Applejack turning into a stallion in Magic Duel. Your strongest in-show argument is her eyeshine and her genderswap in the drafts. You've said it yourself that not every pony of the two sexes have the same amount of eyeshine. Also drafts aren't particularly cannon because they can change. Pinkie and Fluttershy were of different races but were swapped on the final drafts, would that make them officially transracial? To note, there's a chance that you could be right considering Faust's tweet but it still could apply to someone other than Trixie.

I fully support claiming characters as trans because headcanons and theories are fun. I agree that Trixie is a good choice for trans representation and the evidence is valid. If people interpret her as trans all the power to them (no pun intended). The thing is they are just that, interpretations. You can’t “prove” a character is LGBT because gender and sexuality are such a nuanced personal experience. Unless a narrative explicitly shows us a character’s gender and sexuality we shouldn’t push a fan theory as canon. For every trans MLP fan that relates to Trixie there are also cisgendered MLP fans that relate to her. Everyone should be allowed to interpret characters differently without being told “you’re wrong and intolerant for not accepting my fan theory”. If a cis person interprets Trixie as a cis woman they have every right to. If a trans person interprets Trixie as a trans woman they have every right to. If someone else interprets Trixie as agender or non-binary they have the right to. I could even interpret her as a cis or trans man if I wanted to. All interpretations are equally valid. It’s not “intolerant” if you disagree with someone else’s fan theory or interpretation of a work of fiction. It means you have different opinions.
This is fax. Headcannons are up to the person interpreting the media. His whole thing when explaining "imperfectly intolerance" thing can also be pretty disrespectful to certain groups and cultures. Like just because someone doesn't like it doesn't mean we have to go shove it in their face or hate on them for what they belive. Everyone has their own opinion on headcannons and it should be ok.

Yup, and Homelander was smarter in seasons 1-3 than he is in 4, he was immortal in seasons 1-3, and he was nuke level. Oh and he can move at, at least Mach 70 because show homie is more powerful than comic homie according to the show’s main writer and runner. Except that barely makes any sense with what we have seen in the series. Comic Homelander could casually move at Mach 70, but show Homelander couldn’t fly everyone back to mainland during flight 37 despite it being easy and the benefits it would bring? But then there is evidence that Show Homie is more powerful than Comic homie because he can survive a nuke while comic homie would die from one? The point is, show creators don’t understand their own show, and will spend years developing a series only to fuck up and get things wrong when they start saying shit about it online or during an interview.

I don't agree with that trans theory. Eyeshines don't determine the sex of characters, why would they? Ponies have certain biology and that's what determines their sex, not shining eyes. All we see is that Trixie's body type is like other female ponies, not like male ponies. And I don't think that what Hasbro says on Twitter is canonical. Those old scripts aren't canonical too imo. Canon is shown in the official episodes and we don't really have any evidence there, at least beside eyeshines
Well the point isn't that biologically, the ponies have different eye shines, it's just from a show design standpoint because it's a cartoon lol. Cartoons will use certain visual shorthand to indicate different secondary sexual characteristics that animals lack. You'll usually see it as female characters having eyelashes and male characters not having them, stuff like that. This video is saying the eye shine situation might be that sort of design element.

Trixie is NOT canonically trans. But I don't mind the fanon of her being trans, because behind the scenes it works. Just not in the way you think. Trixie is not trans where she was assigned male at birth then transitioned to the female gender. She's trans in the sense that Trixie was in fact originally intended to be a 'he'. But at some point, the writers thought to make Trixie a female instead. So canonically, Trixie was assigned female at birth and is a cis female. But since the original concept was supposed to be male, it's more...trans in conceptualization. But this is why I'll accept Trixie as a trans icon. Not because she's canonically trans, but because the writing staff conseptually transitioned 'him' into 'her'. At the very least, if you're going to claim her as trans in canon, the transition had to have happened at a young age. Taking the comics into consideration, Trixie was accepted into Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns at the same time as Twilight was. And in this comic, Trixie was still female despite being closer to the age of the CMCs. Technically, your points about Doctor Whooves, Nightmare Moon, and Granny Smith debunks your theory. I suppose Doctor Whooves can be disregarded, and I could grant that you have a point with Nightmare Moon (assuming I ignore the fact that you used Spike, a NON-Pony as an example). But using Granny Smith as an argument simply doesn't hold up. Lauren Faust Tweeting it doesn't make it true. Also, those Tweets were made in 2016, well after she left the show. And she was most likely referring to the fact that she was originally conceptualized as a he, not that she is canonically trans. And even if she's serious, she said "At least in MY head." And that's the thing. Just because she may be trans in the creator of the show's head, that still doesn't make it canon. Because she is NOT the ultimate authority on canon. Hasbro is. That's not proof that's Trixie's trans, because original concept doesn't dictate canon gender. Trixie is canonically a cis female. The comics show that she was female even as a child, which would take place well before Boast Busters. And don't give me that crap about the comics not being canon. They are confirmed to be canon (as long as they don't conflict with the show, which that comic does not do).
I mean it would be okay if it was just a headcanon but these people (?) want YOU to view her as trans even if she's not one, and if you don't comply with their headcanon you're suddenly evil because of that. i adore the idea that trixie is trans, but i'd also like to mention Magnet Bolt: in the show, he's a background character stallion, but in the toys (specifically the blindbag minifigs) he was made with a twilight mold (since he's a unicorn and there wasnt a unicorn stallion at the time). in the first iteration of the minifig, he had the eyelashes, but they were removed later on! the description's pronouns werent fixed, though. not exactly sure what episode he appears in, but his vectors were allegedly in the files for the earlier s1 episodes, and i think it was possibly the first. the toys had to be in production before the show iirc, so i like to think of him as transmasc :3

I hated Boast Busters!! I love Trixie and looking back on the Boast Buster's episode makes me so mad with how the girls treat her. She was NOT harming anyone or making fun of anyone UNTIL the girls started to say she's making it all up. She's a performer, of course stuff she's saying is made up. It is not her fault a couple of FOALS believed her stories were true. She had a full right to get rid of ponies who were ruining the show for her audience.
I think (in the earlier days of the fandom at least) a lot of the homophobia came from overcorrection in a way? Like you’d have these hecklers constantly calling any boy or man who watched MLP gay, so it’s not surprising some of the bronies just ended up getting way too defensive and being like “no I’m not gay! I don’t want anything to do with gay people!!” But it’s over a decade later, LGBT people and adults watching cartoons when they’re not the target demographic have both been normalized, so there’s even less of an excuse to be bigoted now.

Just the fact Trixie was originally written as a boy probably confirms it. I've also made a character who was originally intended to be one gender, and when I later swapped it I was like "What if they were trans." And I don't doubt that's the exact process she had.
Edit: I'm trying to say I think Lauren might've been referring to Trixie as the trans character. I don't actually think she's still canonically trans. It also doesn't mean Trixie HAS to be trans, I'm more thinking about silly things writers tend to do. I'm fully aware that this doesn't automatically make Trixie trans and she could still be cis.

The difference is that you chose to make your character trans when you changed their gender. So your character was canonically trans. You're also the ultimate authority when it comes to your own stories. Just because Trixie was originally conceptualized to be one gender, it doesn't mean it makes her trans because the final result is the opposite gender. And it's canon that she was female even back when she was roughly the age of the CMCs. If she's trans, then she would've transitioned at a very young age, well before the age where she'd be able to make that assessment.

I'm a transwoman, and while I do like to headcanon Trixie as trans, beyond presuming Faust was referring to her, I don't really feel we have definitive "proof" she is canonically trans, per se.
Animation errors are easy to dismiss as just that. She doesn't have a noticeable AMAB signifier like, for instance, the body shape of stallion. Also, early versions of scripts get changed dramatically all the time. If there's no other season one gender swaps in rough drafts, it might lend credence to the theory Faust is referring to Trixie though.
But yeah, headcanons and fancanons of her as trans are something I do appreciate, and as far as I know, she's the strongest candidate for being whom Faust is talking about. At the end of the day, it's just stuff that can be validating to think about. Love the video either way.

I’m pretty sure the Trixie hate was strongest during the first two seasons and started to shift with Magic Duel.
With the exception of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. I hated how everyone else treated Trixie in her debut episode. If she'd been a powerful sorceress who was boasting about her skills and saying that she was above the likes of Celestia and Luna, I'd understand why the Mane Six would be pissed at her. But they literally ruined her show, embarrassed her and booed her out of town for the crime of *gasp* being a stage magician.
Imagine how much hate people would've gotten if they tried to heckle Houdini (or, Hoofdini, in MLP's case).
Plus, she wasn't even at fault for bringing the Ursa Minor to Ponyville. That was all on Snips and Snails. She only bragged that she could beat an Ursa Major. She didn't think that anyone would actually try to bring one to town.
Plus, in Magic Duel. She was clearly acting under the influence of the Alicorn Amulet, which was manifesting her frustrations towards the Mane Six to the extreme. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the Amulet was responsible for turning her into a tyrannical town-enslaver. But I digress.
No Second Prances onwards, I liked seeing her character development. She truly came into her own and her redemption arc and friendship with Starlight is honestly beautiful.
In fact, I still prefer Startrix over Starburst.
Every single piece of evidence is ultimately non-conclusive and based on huge stretches. More likely, is that the fandom grabbed at straws, and then FORCED their identity onto a character just so they could try and claim it as theirs.

I honestly don't know why almost everyone from the main six seems to have a vendetta against her. Like yeah, she lied about the Ursa Major and showed off her magic a bit too much, but it is also important to keep in mind that it is in a way her persona or act that she puts up because she's a performer and it's her job to show off and make a good show. The second time, on the other hand, she was under the amulet's control, like Rarity also was, so I wouldn't say it's entirely her fault what she did.
Also, I don't get why Twilight doesn't like her at all. Like I know she might be more overprotective over her student than she would be over herself, but she gave everyone a second chance, even Starlight, but she seemed to not really consider it at all for Trixie. My theory is that Twilight personally hates showing off, so seeing Trixie do it, may remind her of how she could seem like to other ponies, so she dislikes that in herself in a way and therefore is more critical of Trixie, but I don't know.
Using the fact that Trixie started in development as a male character as proof that the final version of her transitioned, is literally like saying Pinkie Pie canonically used to be a pegasus.

I believe Faust herself said that Trixie was not the character that was envisioned to be trans, but I don't have the source for that, so I could be mistaken.
The thing to keep in mind though, is that A) it is not uncommon for tweaks to be made during the writing process, and anything that was changed before airing is not canon, and B) unless the word from superiors came down that the eye gradient and bubble were meant to be put in as that of a male rather than female pony, or the layout artist in question did it intentionally to indicate that this character displays certain masculine traits, then it really wouldn't indicate their transness as far as the studio is concerned. Personally, I doubt Studio B did anything to intentionally indicate that this character is meant to be trans, and find the animation error (if you'd even call it that) explanation far more likely

To start, I have no issue with what people headcanon or see Trixie as. Honestly, headcanon whatever you want, but I don't think saying that Trixie is trans as a one-hundred percent confirmed *canon* fact is necessarily correct.
For one, the eye shine. I don't think that an animation bug/error should be ever be used as evidence in a discussion like this, due to how flimsy and random they can be. For example, the multiple "Unicorns." Who have appeared with wings, only to have them disappear in another episode, only to never have them ever again in any seasons in the future, due to the bug finally being a thing of the past (Unless more show up in the most recent seasons, which I don't think is the case.)
Would you also consider the duplicated ponies to be canon? What about the bug shown where Rainbow's neck is bent at an uncomfortable angle? Where is the line drawn, when it's convenient for our theories? And as the final note to this, the eye shine was corrected in season seven, as shown in episodes like Uncommon Bond and Frenemies, which I think is mentioned in the video, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Moving on, a character being conceptualized as something originally, doesn't mean that they are that thing now. For example, Tempest Shadow was originally concepted as an Alicorn and was named Cosmos, but clearly, that has been changed and is no longer the case. It's the same thing with Trixie originally being male. You can find the original Tempest concept by searching YouLoveIt Concept vs Original Tempest Shadow was Cosmos - An Alicorn Boy! I would just post the link, but UA-cam will delete it.
I mention this to show that what was originally conceptualized is no longer canon in the final version. The original should be discarded as a fun "What if." Rather than as anything officially canon, because if we *do* consider it canon, it would also be canon that Tempest is an Alicorn, originally male, and Princess Celestia/Luna's long-lost brother.
Is there a point you can make for Trixie being trans using this evidence to support a headcanon? Sure, I suppose, but I just don't think it's enough evidence, or even concrete enough evidence, to accurately and assuredly claim that Trixie is trans. No stop, fully canonical, as canonical as Princess Luna being Princess Celestia's sister.
I don't mean to make this post as a "Gotcha!" Or as a way to dunk on people's fun or something, you're free to interpret things as you want. - two lesbian background pony couples (Lyra/Bon Bon and Aunt Holiday/Auntie Lofty), one of which marries and one of which is directly related to a main character
- two lesbian protagonist couples (Rainbow Dash/Applejack in FiM and Applejack/Rarity in EqG)
- another bisexual protagonist (Sunset Shimmer)
- an implied gay background couple (Curly Winds/Wiz Kid)
- multiple episodes explicitly _against_ racism
- a different trans pony (Caramel, who appears as a Big Mac-esque stallion, then as a smaller stallion, then as a mare named Toffee)
- an implied lesbian couple (Vinyl Scratch and Octavia)
- an explicitly lesbian background pony _literally named Sappho_
- multiple LGBTQ+ staff members and voice actors
- an overall theme of acceptance
This all starts out in _season 1._ It's not like you could miss it, what with Zacora's episode.

Trixie was in the wrong for bragging that she's the most powerful unicorn in the world when she isn't. And if Trixie hadn't bragged about defeating an ursa major (which was a lie), snips and snails (being kids) wouldn't have brought in an ursa minor to prove how powerful she is. So, in the end, Trixie caused all this.

I strongly doubt she's trans. She has the body of a default mare and the technology in G3 isn't advanced. Even her going the route of consistently putting a spell on herself to appear female seems farfetched considering she was flabbergasted with Applejack turning into a stallion in Magic Duel. Your strongest in-show argument is her eyeshine and her genderswap in the drafts. You've said it yourself that not every pony of the two sexes have the same amount of eyeshine. Also drafts aren't particularly cannon because they can change. Pinkie and Fluttershy were of different races but were swapped on the final drafts, would that make them officially transracial?
To note, there's a chance that you could be right considering Faust's tweet but it still could apply to someone other than Trixie.

I fully support claiming characters as trans because headcanons and theories are fun. I agree that Trixie is a good choice for trans representation and the evidence is valid. If people interpret her as trans all the power to them (no pun intended).
The thing is they are just that, interpretations. You can’t “prove” a character is LGBT because gender and sexuality are such a nuanced personal experience. Unless a narrative explicitly shows us a character’s gender and sexuality we shouldn’t push a fan theory as canon.
For every trans MLP fan that relates to Trixie there are also cisgendered MLP fans that relate to her. Everyone should be allowed to interpret characters differently without being told “you’re wrong and intolerant for not accepting my fan theory”.
If a cis person interprets Trixie as a cis woman they have every right to. If a trans person interprets Trixie as a trans woman they have every right to. If someone else interprets Trixie as agender or non-binary they have the right to. I could even interpret her as a cis or trans man if I wanted to. All interpretations are equally valid.
It’s not “intolerant” if you disagree with someone else’s fan theory or interpretation of a work of fiction. It means you have different opinions.

Except that barely makes any sense with what we have seen in the series. Comic Homelander could casually move at Mach 70, but show Homelander couldn’t fly everyone back to mainland during flight 37 despite it being easy and the benefits it would bring? But then there is evidence that Show Homie is more powerful than Comic homie because he can survive a nuke while comic homie would die from one? The point is, show creators don’t understand their own show, and will spend years developing a series only to fuck up and get things wrong when they start saying shit about it online or during an interview.

I don't agree with that trans theory. Eyeshines don't determine the sex of characters, why would they? Ponies have certain biology and that's what determines their sex, not shining eyes. All we see is that Trixie's body type is like other female ponies, not like male ponies. And I don't think that what Hasbro says on Twitter is canonical. Those old scripts aren't canonical too imo. Canon is shown in the official episodes and we don't really have any evidence there, at least beside eyeshines
Well the point isn't that biologically, the ponies have different eye shines, it's just from a show design standpoint because it's a cartoon lol. Cartoons will use certain visual shorthand to indicate different secondary sexual characteristics that animals lack. You'll usually see it as female characters having eyelashes and male characters not having them, stuff like that. This video is saying the eye shine situation might be that sort of design element.
The ponies don't have biology, they're cartoon characters. That's why people are also looking to other ways they're presented on this.

Trixie is NOT canonically trans. But I don't mind the fanon of her being trans, because behind the scenes it works. Just not in the way you think. Trixie is not trans where she was assigned male at birth then transitioned to the female gender. She's trans in the sense that Trixie was in fact originally intended to be a 'he'. But at some point, the writers thought to make Trixie a female instead. So canonically, Trixie was assigned female at birth and is a cis female. But since the original concept was supposed to be male, it's more...trans in conceptualization. But this is why I'll accept Trixie as a trans icon. Not because she's canonically trans, but because the writing staff conseptually transitioned 'him' into 'her'.
At the very least, if you're going to claim her as trans in canon, the transition had to have happened at a young age. Taking the comics into consideration, Trixie was accepted into Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns at the same time as Twilight was. And in this comic, Trixie was still female despite being closer to the age of the CMCs.
Technically, your points about Doctor Whooves, Nightmare Moon, and Granny Smith debunks your theory. I suppose Doctor Whooves can be disregarded, and I could grant that you have a point with Nightmare Moon (assuming I ignore the fact that you used Spike, a NON-Pony as an example). But using Granny Smith as an argument simply doesn't hold up.
Lauren Faust Tweeting it doesn't make it true. Also, those Tweets were made in 2016, well after she left the show. And she was most likely referring to the fact that she was originally conceptualized as a he, not that she is canonically trans. And even if she's serious, she said "At least in MY head." And that's the thing. Just because she may be trans in the creator of the show's head, that still doesn't make it canon. Because she is NOT the ultimate authority on canon. Hasbro is.
That's not proof that's Trixie's trans, because original concept doesn't dictate canon gender. Trixie is canonically a cis female. The comics show that she was female even as a child, which would take place well before Boast Busters. And don't give me that crap about the comics not being canon. They are confirmed to be canon (as long as they don't conflict with the show, which that comic does not do).
