I think that we all love the idea of planner peace but really, part of what makes being a planner so fun and engaging is trying new things. We all get to learn from each other and get inspiration from social media that makes it a really unique interactive experience. Love these ideas!
Yeah, I had such a limited system, and then the items kept pulling me in and I have so many things now that it feels overwhelming and is making me rethink my system again... At the same time, there is also other new stuff that looks so interesting that I am writing down digital notes for 2024 planners, lol.

@@MomYePlans yeah they are a5 slim.. however, I am worry the daily planner one maybe too thick sooo now I am contemplating a lined Midori and since the iPad is there I can reference a calendar on that if necessary. Over here rethinking my system too, hahaha. Got to love the planner life! P.S. lord knows I don't need another one but excited to see your new digital planner coming soon!
An A5slim or wide notebook like Moleskine is what you need for that TN/iPad combo. You can also just write with an app directly on your phone or iPad and it’ll transcribe too and you don’t have to carry a notebook and there’s paper-feel screen protectors so it feels like paper. Not exactly the same but less to carry around.
I definitely kept changing my mind ever since the summer. For 2022, I had used a jibun biz for work and a cousin for personal, so I wanted to use those again. BUT THEN I was like “wait no, I don’t wanna have my work plans and notes separate”, so that started off this whole thing of me buying jibun days, then a hobonichi day free, then a regular cousin. But now I’ve settled on having avecs for both work and personal, because I also wanted to be able to carry both to work with me easily. And having those half year books is the only way, honestly.
I’ve had this same exact dilemma this year. I’ve decided I’m using the cousin for absolutely everything except my budget bujo, using my current creative journal, and if I feel like anything is missing after a month or two I’m letting myself buy and add in an A6 365 stalogy for whatever
Oh mannn I’ve been thinking about the cousin as well! (Literally all over the place) are you able to fill your daily pages?? That’s my only thing with the cousin is that it’s so big for the dailies!
THANK YOU for articulating what I’ve been feeling about the Weeks- need the open space for your brain breathe!! This is my first time using one. After setting up next week’s spread, I immediately knew it is not going to work for me right now. I’m moving from a Golden Coil to a Weeks. I feel too confined. I need space! So I’m repurposing a Cousin I bought for 2023 and making it my main planner instead.
I’m glad I’m not the only one!! But ya it’s a tough one to do all your planning on especially coming from a bigger planner! I’ve definitely been tempted on more than one occasion to try a cousin! How do you plan to use the daily pages? That’s always been my deterrent is that I don’t think I could ever fill a full daily page lol
@@MomYePlans The daily pages were the reason I stepped away from the Cousin after the first time I used it (2020). But I think I have a good plan for it now- it will be my Admin/ Catchall planner. Scripture notes, day-specific to-dos, random doodles, notes on videos or podcasts I listened to that day. I'll keep a separate journal for deeper thoughts/ feelings. I'm more concerned about the hourly weekly pages. I prefer horizontal since I don't have a lot going on.

I’m not sure I quite understood what you said about those. Cuz I desperately need some ideas for all that kinda stuff!! 🙈 Right now I have notes from UA-cam videos, blogs, podcasts, etc. in various different notebooks! @@celiagallegos I understand your frustration! I plan to use the daily pages of the Hobo Cousin for notes. The left side of the page (with the timeline) will be for Bible reading notes. The right/ main side will be for notes on anything I listened to or watched. I hope that makes sense. Which planner will you be using?
Definitely need to get that smart pen tablet to take notes, brain dump and project plan without wasting a bunch of notebooks. I found something else similar but it was $400 although it did have more features but this is a perfect tester/starter.

It looks like a Moleskine Large Cahier would work better with the mini in the cover too.
