Flawless Victory!" What's better than dusting your opponent like a bundt cake without breaking a sweat, or taking a single hit? Having the announcer proclaim it over a loudspeaker, that's what! This was especially important back in the smokey arcades of the 1990s when Mortal Kombat's notoriety was at an all-time high, and gamers would crowd around the cabinet to watch players demonstrate their fighting finesse. It was also one of the most demoralizing things to hear after you lost a round! At least...that's what we hear! 3 "Finish Him/Her!" Mortal Kombat wouldn't be Mortal Kombat without this memorable quote. It sums up everything the series was focused on - the annihilation of your foes in spectacularly gory fashion. Although fatalities have become more creative and imaginative (to the point of comical satire) over the years, each and every one is prefaced by this single, memorable quote from the announcer; a call for you to embrace the dark side and send your opponent off to the knacker's yard in the most explicitly violent manner imaginable. 2 "Fatality!" We knew this one was coming! As you stand over the littered corpse of your foe, Captain Obvious lets the entire planet know that you just executed a Fatality. We imagine the announcer would have made a rather awful first responder (though probably a great coroner), so it's only fitting he calls it like it is. We're not quite sure why this was even put into the game in the first place, but who cares? It's certainly more memorable than "You win!" 1 "Get Over Here!" This quote is Mortal Kombat. It's by far the most popular one-liner of the entire series and has served as the battle cry for each new chapter in the franchise since the original in 1992. It also made Scorpion a tried and tested fan-favorite while popularizing his use of the kunai harpoon. Side note - are we the only ones imagining what it would be like if Scorpion and Sam Quint got together to hunt the shark in the original Jaws? Actually, never mind! We digress. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Mortal Kombat has gone through much evolution over the years, but these signature quotes are permanently etched in stone and remain forever associated with the series as a whole. A new Mortal Kombat movie is in the works, so start placing those bets now as to which of these memorable quotes will end up making the final cut!
Born in 1984. Have an older brother born 1980. Grew up with GameBoy, original, renting from Blockbuster, game systems to play Mortal Kombat or streetfighter, etc. 1995 original Mortal Kombat movie was ahead of its time. It was astounding for his day and age when it came to CG. But I have been effing waiting for a video game movie like this. One that takes it to new cinematic visual adventure Heights, One where they not only hire actors who can act their part but also do the martial arts movements, making it 100% more realistic, staying true to the lore of Mortal Kombat. I have been waiting for this movie. And it did not disappoint me. I’m so excited that they left it open for a second, probably a third. And I don’t give a F about you naysayers. You probably have never even seen an original Mortal Kombat game in your life. This is a masterpiece. This was a labor of love from not only the directors but the actors themselves who subzero, 15 years Joe taslim, Indonesian judo whatever it is, Scorpion, etc. The actors were hired on the sole reason that they were able to do their own martial arts stunts. And that is what makes 100% difference between the 1995 movie and this one. And I am obsessed. I’m in it to win it. 100% fan.
My tastes tend to line up pretty well with critics but they do miss the mark every now and then with genre movies. This movie is a MUST SEE for all MK fans! I've watched in 3 times for each day it has been out. Overall outstanding fantasy movie based on the Mortal Kombat videos games. The good guys, you feel like rooting for them and wanting them to win but seeing that it is nearly hopeless. The bad guys, you feel the evil from them, their desire to destroy the good guys in any way possible and we understand why they cannot be allowed to win or ALL IS LOST for us all! Everything I wanted from the movie, I got. Could it be better? Yes, but jamming the story into 90 minutes wasn't easy.
The movie has a fine mix of action and gore. The fighting cherography was amazing especially from both Scorpion & Sub-Zero and the Fatalities/Brutalities were just enough for anyone who's a fan to Mortal Kombat.

What if they don't want to spoil a casting surprise and got a very special actor to play him? Hmmm?

Perfectly said! I just watched it for the 1st time today and feel like watching it again already!

I was so shocked and surprised that they actually did Scorpion’s, finishing move. “Get, over here”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The movie has a fine mix of action and gore. The fighting cherography was amazing especially from both Scorpion & Sub-Zero and the Fatalities/Brutalities were just enough for anyone who's a fan to Mortal Kombat.
YOOOO WE GOTTAAAA HEAR THE VINTAGE “GET OVER HERE” THIS MOVIEEE IS GONNAAA BE AWESOMEEE ‼️‼️

Do we know if that's Ed Boon's voice?
Flawless Victory!"
What's better than dusting your opponent like a bundt cake without breaking a sweat, or taking a single hit? Having the announcer proclaim it over a loudspeaker, that's what! This was especially important back in the smokey arcades of the 1990s when Mortal Kombat's notoriety was at an all-time high, and gamers would crowd around the cabinet to watch players demonstrate their fighting finesse.
It was also one of the most demoralizing things to hear after you lost a round! At least...that's what we hear!
3
"Finish Him/Her!"
Mortal Kombat wouldn't be Mortal Kombat without this memorable quote.
2
"Fatality!"
We knew this one was coming!
It's certainly more memorable than "You win!"
1
"Get Over Here!"
This quote is Mortal Kombat.
That's what i'm saying, i don't care how "Original" this movie is, the OG GET OVER HERE should be in every game and movie.
