Prime Ribeye Steak from Loblaws

  • A prime grade ribeye from loblaws, not a bad price for sharing or making two steaks. The full cut is a bit too large for me - though in days past i would have eaten it all! Those of you incensed at the under doneness of my other steaks will notice this one was done a bit more. The simple reason for this is that with so much fat and marbelling in a steak you want to make sure that all that fat is meltingly cooked. There is nothing as unpleasant as chewing uncooked fat. That is why a wagyu will always be better cooked medium that medium rare. Cooking the fat imparts flavor to the meat.

    Wow! Talk about an over priced steak! Loblaws are thieves. You should be ashamed to post this. #Loblawsisoutofcontrol

      Please provide a reasonable alternative within a 5 minute drive from 60 Carlton with advertised price and convenient parking and I will genuinely go there.

      Happy to hear suggestions on where i could shop for groceries cheaper in downtown Toronto, which is local to me without going to the so-called 'markets' which are even more expensive; and the 'cheaper' grocery chains belong to the same companies...
