If I could start my life all over, I'd be a farmer/ rancher and be a Sonne too ! What a great life but hard too ! Prayers for Uncle Jeff for health and prosperity,
We are doing the same thing in Kansas right now!! Our oldest girl, Elsie, was loading weaned calves when the first calf turned and tried to jump over her! Hit her in the head! She’s fine…just was hurting for a while! Thankfully her sister was there to keep the rest of the calves from running over her! Be safe out there! Thank you Brian and Cole! Blessings!
@@anneoreilly4900 Awwww…Yes!!!!! Because of Sandi’s shout out we reached 1000 subscribers! We love Sandi! We are so thankful for the help! Blessings to you!
55! That's California winter temps. That smart fertilizer system saves money and is better for the land and water. Very cool. I hope you feel better soon Jeff.
Really hope Jeff is alright. Speedy recovery brother. Can't wait to see the autonomous tractor! Hopefully it works right away. Glad the gate missed you! That would've left a mark. 💯🙏🏻🙏🏻
Always getting things done! No grass grows under your dad's feet! One of the reasons he has built a thriving farm and it seems like he has been a great influence on you as well. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree on Sonne Farms! Enjoyed the video and hope Jeff is doing better and the sick calf as well!
Jeff God's blessings be upon you, may you get feeling better soon. Cole hope you get back to feeling better after the flu bug and rest family stay well
I subscribe to Larson Farms, Welker Farms, Millenial Farmer, Laura Farms and Sonne Farms. I enjoy your channel the most. I love the repour between you and your Dad. You have the best mix from raising cattle, preparing feed, feeding cattle and planting and harvesting. You guys are hard working people. I especially enjoy you guys fencing and joking around with one another. Great channel!!!
Best thoughts for uncle Geff, haven’t seen an autonomous tractor, have seen an autonomous 3 x round baler pick up collector, just put the field dimensions in an it’ll go out an collect bales and drop them in a designated area, save time in having to roam large fields collecting them, stay warm and safe out there
Hope Jeff feels better soon. And you and Brian stay safe. That fertilizer thing is fabulous what a great idea to save on fertilizer where you don’t need it
Hey Cole I’m new to your channel.Did some serious binge watching this weekend because I was down with a cold.Awesome to see that me and my family aren’t that last normal family in the world! Cheers from Ontario
Very nice and appropriate scripture listed . Greetings from Ireland. The weather is windy Storm Barra is also providing plenty sleet and rain. I have a call out ,to deal with a puncture on the back wheel of a customer’s tractor, so get the wet suit out from its slumber time. 👍
Cole I’m so glad you didn’t hurt your knee when the girls were “testy” while getting in the trailer. I think you said that you wear your brace when you work the cattle…that’s the best thing!! Sending prayers to Jeff and family that they feel better soon! I’m still fairly new so I don’t remember if Jeff is married or has kids. I hope I didn’t offend anyone.
After all the problems with the software it would be interesting to soil test the exact same spots in the spring to see if it actually balanced out the field. Wishing all the best for Jeff.
Guarantee if you sampled in the spring again no matter if you spread anything or not the soil sample will come back differently also depending on how you do the recommendation the build up is split across a certain amount of years usually 4 so they won’t go up dramatically in half a year
@@edwardmonken4562 Yes that makes perfect sense. All this software and gadgets just pushes up operating costs for the producers. I always wonder if the return on investment warrants some of it. I guess at fertilizer prices if you use less it should pay for itself eventually.
The idea is put the fertilizer where its needed and not where it’s not needed being more efficient is where the saving come in no need to put fertilizer where it’s not needed or has the ability to hold it
Take care Jeff and feel better soon! Thanks Cole for sharing your videos. I really enjoy watching and learning about your family and the farm. I especially love the relationship between you and your Dad! Oh and that sky behind you at the end of this video was glorious!
Hope Jeff gets well. I absolutely love learning about the farm equipment and you guys are great about explaining how things work. Love my farm 🚜 family.
I came down with covid about 6 days ago. Its awful 😞 every joint in body hurt so bad and the coughing didn't help. Im fully vaccinated so I can't imagine how bad it could have been. Oh and btw I Love your taste in music.
Thoughts and prayers going out to Jeff for a speedy recovery. Funny you mentioned the autonomous thingy...I just went through your recent videos looking to see if I missed it.
I just wanted to let you know how much you guys are appreciated. I spend hours watching your videos. Not only are they well done cinematic but I get to remember the wonderful memories of my dad and I farming 80 acres many years ago. I’m 75 now but sure would like to be farming again. Please keep them coming and I hope your knee surgery gives you some relief. Thanks again!
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting. Sending Best Wishes to uncle Jeff for a good recovery from covid. Bad stuff. Hang in there Jeff. Pulling for you. I trust you sick calf will pull thru ok. Good catch spotting that calf and getting it some meds. Like I say, you folks are excellent herdsmen. Never fails when a tractor sets in a building the birds always find it. Wow, was a lot. Rinse off so acid does not get into the paint. Oh ya!!! Thanks for explaining your fertilizer spreader and how it works with the computer telling it was to spread. Neat setup. The devices you have now days is great. In our day everything was manual labor and setup with eyesight. I am so fond of the electronic equipment you have now days. Wow. Helps make farming a “little” easier. Notice I said little. Good job on herding the herd with just the two of you. Good job done. Excellent song of the day Brian. You pick some good ones. About it for now. You both take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. They make my day. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy from years ago. Cole you mentioned that Rob wanted to know if you wanted to hang out for a while. You hit it on the nose when you said town boys have all kinds of free time. I can remember my school buddies not living on the farm could never figure out why I was always busy on the farm. My family invited several out one day and kind of run them hard all day doing farm work. Then they got it, ha!!!!!! Always remember that. I will be quiet now. Bye!!!!
Hope Jeff gets better soon. Love how that fertilizer adjusts automatically. Love Brian’s music tastes. Runs like mine. Curt Kobain was amazing. Unfortunately the demons can take over.
On the old trucks w/ a bench seat, there were three names for the seats. Driver, Gater, and Cowboy... Cowboy didn't have to drive or get out and open the gate... City folks call that spot somethin' else... I really hope Jeff and his people get to feeling better.
Great video to start our week. Perhaps you could keep a notebook in the tractor with notes and reminders for each of the processes. Useful for actions that only happen periodically. 30+ years ago I kept a stenographer notebook for each machine; left column for recording problem and right column for solutions. New page for each event. Today there is probably an app on your smartphone that can accomplish the same log notes without using paper. Question; did Brian purchase the bale holder. Some time ago you mentioned that free trial period was coming to its end. Trusting that Jeff and the calf are feeling better. Wishing you, Brian and your respective ladies another great week.
Did you know Sheepishly Me from Canada watches you guy's? I was watching her last video today and she flipped her phone around and there you were! How cool! ❤️
Your farm equipment is mighty impressive!❤️❤️ and it goes to say you need muscle strength to work on a farm, no joke as well as empathy, kindness, ingenuity and intelligence.
Cole how do you guy's like your Honda's, I got a honda 500 Rubicon with the 5 speed auto trans high and low range, I've had it since new it's a 2005 model is has never been in the repair shop at all only had to replace 1 front tire. I have just over 46000 kms on it or about 27000 miles on it, we ride in the Rocky mountains by use some mighty wicked trails. I'm 71 years old I use the quad in the winter time either with the blade on the front or I also have 44 inch snow blower I push with it, blower has its own moter on it.
Wishing Jeff a quick recovery!
Really hope Jeff comes out OK. He's a good guy.
