Hey J, everyone on Facebook recommended I get in touch with you. I’ve been having an issue with all my female guppies dying from columnaris. I’ve been getting them from the pet stores in Cabot.
You’re not to far from me and the shipping is about the same as what the gas would cost to get there and back do you do pick ups?

@@J.Olivers_Guppies-Aquatics awesome, thank you! It will be a little while before I’m ready to pick any up. I was going to use my 40g as a guppy tank, but my blue rams keep spawning and I’m using that tank to build a “master dean” style fry system.

I see so many people do bare bottom tanks, all my tanks in my fish room have a substrate gravel . Do you prefer bare bottom then having a substrate ? Is bare bottom more beneficial for the fish ? And keeps the water quality better ?
The medication and other additives required, for making sure fish from another country are healthy after a long and stressful trip, would kill plants and tons of bacteria. The tanks behind him are set up for imports and shipping out once they are for sure healthy. Not long term living.
What squidney said. I'll also add I prefer bare bottom for my import tanks because I deworm and then I like to siphon the bottom in between treatments to make sure I get any eggs or Undead parasites at the bottom
how do you pick up youre fish at the airport
Usually with both arms 😂 how you usually pick up a box of fish.
Depending on shipping courier you go to their customer service hub at the airport, show ID, sign some paperwork and hurry up and wait. They'll bring out your boxes, you'll need to make sure they're not leaking, crushed or otherwise damaged in any way, start claims before you leave and give an update once you get home and better look at what happened. At least this was the common procedure 20 years ago when I'd go up and grab an order for my friends store. I'm sure things have changed since then but probably not by much.
