Do you have DIY for the rear sliding door window ?
I got my window from a junkyard. The window was in the up position and would not roll, so I had to remove the window roller motor, disassemble it with an Alan wrench, and manually free the cable that pulls the window up and down along its track.
My understanding is that if your window is stuck in the down position, you can reach behind the window roller track, find the cable and cut it to enable the window to move upwards.
I did not take the 3 bolts loose from the track. A little WD40 down the track where the window rides and I was able to slide the replacement window right in! Just make sure all broken glass (if any) is out of the window track. WD40 is definitely the trick!
Great video doing want right now 😃
What year is that minivan?
What was the reason for unbolting the 3 bolts for the rail inside the door?
Removing the 2 bolts gives you a little slack so you can tilt the glass and get it out. The top nut isn't necessary as the rail doesn't fully come out. And it's not necessary to remove the rail. I just replaced 2 glass windows and let me tell you there's important details that's being left out. You gotta remember this his a professional shop that does hundreds of windows removal a day. Whereas I'm removing it once a lifetime, if that.
I had trouble getting the glass out, but fortunately I was able to figure out how to get the glass out after wrestling with it for 10 minutes. You need to tilt the glass towards the door hinge, put pressure on it and push it up. Loosening the 2 rail bolts gives you a little slack to be able to squeeze the glass out.
@@jonhnnyutah2529 my window was shattered so I had to follow this video in reverse. It's in now, but The window slows down towards the bottom when I'm lowering it now, I'm wonderingnif there's something I could have done to help this not to happen, or is it just the fact that the glass is not oem or some other reason
👍
how much would a decent mechanic charge to do this?

I called my auto guy to put in a new window and replace the mirror and it was 80 in labor. $630 total with parts. I went to a junk yard and got used glass for $50 and did it myself. After market heated mirror was $120
