this video series is what got me into watching kym illman 3 years ago and now im still watching him. what a journey
You’re hooked. Cheers
Video is three days old, you live in the future 3 years from now?
@@somuchbs6008 he had made lots of vids like these
Kym I appreciate the simplicity of your videos. Topic is clear and concise with good editing! Keep it up!
As someone who eats up as much trivia as I possibly can I didn't think this video would have too much that I wouldn't already know. Thanks for proving me wrong Kym this was great!
@Kym Illman FYI: Latifi is playing hockey right handed, it’s the top hand that controls the stick not the lower one. Right hand = blade on left side. Left hand = blade on right side.
You're right, Kym, I did learn interesting nuggets of information despite the fact that I've been following the sport since 1967 when I started Jim Clark race!
Love all these videos Kym! Would love to hear more about the team principles sometime as well!
@4:56 they forgot to cover brake callipers 😅
I knew someone else saw it👍
Your videos never fail to make my day Kym! Keep up the amazing work mate!
Will do my friend

Fantastic insight as always Kym. Your videos are always such a delight.
Love your videos. I looked for you at this years aus gp but couldnt see you. Always a pleasure to see you in tv taking clicks
Thank you Kym! Another fantastic video!
Thanx Kym, this was a fun vid. Enjoy Singapore this weekend!
Thanks for the great video Kym
Great video, very entertaining and informative. Thanks a lot! Just the kind of info F1 nuts like me love to see.
Very entertaining watch kym!
Saving up for one of your amazing pictures. Love the content 👌
Just launched Alex Albon signed Pics last night
The Silverstone podium is also not above the garages, it is at the end of the complex, meaning if you pay top dollar for a grandstand seat opposite the pitlane , you cant actually see the podium which is to the right just around the corner , not a very good design, Also pit lanes have to be flat , where as the start finish straight goes up hill slightly, so if you sit the the left hand grandstands , the pit boxes are obscured by the elevation of the track, again , another bad design issue that most don't ever find out until to late .
That was a fun one! Thanks, Kym.
Yet another top class video!
Excellent video and informative
extremely good videos sir, love them.
These videos always make me smile and I feel at piece when I watch them. My day is brightened every time a new video is launched. Keep up the great work, great video as always. Have a wonderful day.
Absolutely Excellent …
Loved this video Kym.
Amazing content per usual
Real good choice of F1 facts; I only knew 1 or 2 of them already.
its always a joy to see this man talking about F1 :D
Thank you kind sir. Hope to catch you on Friday in SG.
I absolutely love your channel mate.
New to formula one over the past 3years. I am now all things F1. I just came across your channel and can not stop watching. You ate a legend mate.
Thanks for the content from down under 🇦🇺 let’s go #3
Great video, Kym.
Thanks Jakemaister
Lots of right handed hockey players have a natural left swing. :)
It's much more natural to lean on the side that is not your dominant.
like the green light so much better than the poople in casa del lancelin.
Great info, some of it made me smile. Thanks kym, love all your vlogs ❤
Very cool edit at the beginning
Thanks for noticing
Who was the first driver to spray Champagne from the podium....? Sir Jackie Stewart.
I am glad i know this now))
Hello Kym!
I was wondering if you ever plan to attend WRC event sometime ? Or have you ever attended one ? Just out of curiosity
Btw loving your videos keep up the good work.
If I had a weekend off and there was a rally in the city I was that I would love to
I loved this video.
love this
Thanks!
I was right with the driver numbers lol great vid, Kym.
I initially thought it was Alfa Romeo
Thanks Kym.
On the Track Width Rule, it's definitely more of a guideline. Suzuka and Monza come straight to mind. All the supposed track design rules have been broken in F1 in recent years, such as the 12m minimum width broken with Baku
7:11 it was even higher with bottas
Love the new intro with 2022 cars
Well picked up, I asked for that to be done but didn’t check whether it had been done
the strap under the foot is called a "stirrup". bruce lee also used stirrups in his adidas trainers on movie sets, as do many other athletes (and soldiers), depending on the gear they have. its just really practical.
McLaren driver numbers being 3 and 4 is really cool, like the Hamilton-Button days. I bet 2016 Manor still hold the record for the biggest sum of their drivers' numbers.
Mclarens numbering is interesting - in Indycar they also have 5 (O'Ward), 6 (Montoya) and 7 (Rosenqvist) giving a full run from 3-7
4:56
They forgot to tape the brake calliper :-)
Yes
Very interesting fact regarding the photographers! Very hectic that 50/70 permanent photographers don't attend all the races, do they only attend a few or do they mostly miss a few? Would love to see more videos related to the photography side of F1
I’m guessing only attend a dozen or fewer
In hockey a right hander will shoot left and a left hander will be shooting right. Alway have your strongest hand on the top of the stick.
Kym asking: Nick : "did you like this video?" And my answer is: "Yes Kym, I deeply like ALL your videos". As usual...huuuuuuge hugs from Colombia
Kim, do you know why Toto sits in the back of the garage watching a monitor instead of trackside like the other team principals? No one has answered this question to me so far !!!!
Very interesting fact regarding the photographers! How many female photographers are around throughout the year? Roughly?
I’ve seen about 6 this year. But none do all races.
Nice
No logos on the vehicles ut not apparently on the brake calipers...
Hay Kim why don't you make an video about what do drivers do and what happens on the rase day before lights out like how car's are prepared, how they are brought on to the race trac something like that
Will consider it.
So, all tracks with an M have a podium away from the pit? Monaco, Mexico, Miami and Monza
The person hiding the Mercedes logo on the wheel never noticed the brake caliper, poor form!
1:22 what about Monaco, is it an exception?
Williams also have a Two Michelin Star Chef, Niall Keating
I asked a few people if any other teams had Michelin chef the whole season and was told that only Karlheinz does all 22 races.
F1 is in a little bit of a golden era, and very popular, maybe because of Netflix's driver to survive. But the FIA just races at which ever circuits pay the most. When the new calendar included Las Vegas I was very disppointed. Three races in the USA, Five races in North America and all over the place on the calendar. All street circuits should be axed, starting with Las Vegas and the two in the middle east. Albert Park isn't a street circuit, it's a race track open to the public the other 51 weeks of the year.
Do you have any give away? I'm a fan of you. I'm learning photography and you are my idol.
I just gave away a signed Kimi picture and there’s another giveaway coming up next month for all of my VIP UA-cam members
Yes he does. I just won a pair of RayBan Stories sunnies simply by being a channel member.
1:21 Is monaco an exception then? Pretty sure it's not 15m wide?
Monaco 🇲🇨 is always the exception.
And I can can conferm... A Jerrybonham is 4xx as big as reggular botttles *hiccup*
Nah seriously, love this video's, unlikely the rest of the "you didn't know" videos on UA-cam, Kyms always presents stuff you actually didn't know.
18 people and still can’t get 4 wheels out in time
So every place that doesn't have the podium in the pit Lane starts with the letter M, Monza, Miami, Mexico, Monaco 😁
#StayPassionate
Kym, you forgot something 🤔😊
Did you know Seb Vettel used to race with a Lucky Coin in between his shoe laces ?
I've never seen it. Could you kindly take a pic of it before he goes forever ? 📸
Will look for it.
21 Useless things you didnt know about F1 - Fixed the title for you! :P
Would Mclaren not have the lowest driver number total with 3 + 4 = 7 ?
What did you think I said?
Can we meet up in Singapore?
If you see me around the paddock certainly say hi
@@KymIllman I'll definitely say hi to you Kym! ☺️
“Playing hockey” or shooting left or right handed has very little connection to a person’s writing preference. Unless you are a goalie.
Any pets at the track besides Hamilton's bulldog? What do they do with them and kids during the race? Nannies/assistants?
#22: Danielle Ricardo won’t be in thumbnails next year.
Isn't the main podium at Zanvoort opposite the pitlane?
No, same side as the garages
@@KymIllman You are so right. I mistakenly thought you were talking about the grandstand.
Do you think you could ever make more money from your videos than photos of F1? That would be impressive, since they don't let you take video at the track.
Definitely
All irrelevant facts
Just for that useless last piece of information about numbers, I don't like this video.
Loved the Video Kym
