Hard agree with this. One of my most played matchups is DK vs Ness and he can be a little closer, there were a few situations where he didn't do anything because of his patience when he could have pulled the trigger. IMO this matchup is even.
Yea, tbh he is too passive and takes free percentage. I've noticed over the years he has done this more where he sits around and goes for parry style points. It loses him matches a lot, and it has gotten old

Just watching this I feel like things are incredibly oppressive. Can’t imagine how it feels actually piloting DK vs Scend. (Both of these guys are such great character specialists but it hurts to watch.)
The amount of times that CK had so many free Dair, grounded up B, and side B opportunities is so frustrating because he honestly seems to refuse them for some reason when they are optimal here when you want to keep Ness grounded since he wants to always be short hopping on stage or platform for combos

Chunky made a lot of mistakes that I think really cost him the loss. The bair instead of up air wasn't optimal especially since he got the sour spot. And looks like he missed a lot of inputs when dropping through ledges that could have put ness off stage. Totally could have won the set

He could have pressured shield without getting punished and gone for earlier kills, but decided not to because he was waiting for a dumb option from BestNess (Chunky would still miss a punish, anyways)

When offstage, there were chances that Chunky had to recover back on stage safely, but would get hit with PK Thunder an infinite amount of times. Chunky got lucky getting one game. If he was having a bad day, I'd understand, but I know that's not his top peak performance. Don't try to compare Ness players from your region to BestNess. They don't compare. I was rooting for Chunky, but that was just bad.

It really feels like Scend/BN has leveled up his movement. Wavelanding/down air landing and the grab out of shield. It’s actually insane to watch.
Not only that, but its much more controlled it feels like. Not just fancy stuff, its all very deliberate.
Scend always pushing Ness’s Meta so much! Always artistic to see him play Ness at these top levels ✨
