Thank for the observation that the tip of the bit is NOT magnetic. The tip is held in by magnet, but there is NO magnetic attraction to the screw you want to use.
That was helpful but one thing I don't understand. What is the purpose of the plastic blue round thing that fits on the end of the screw driver? I noticed that it shows degrees on the blue cap. Can you tell me what this is and what is it for?

I got the workpro equivalent. It's kinda shit. Lots of movement in the shaft and the gearing feels as though it is going to bind up at any moment. Great concept, low quality.

If you rub the tip on a magnet, you can magnetize the tip of the “bit”.
