I purchased the Zoom pedal to pair with a MicroFreak but still haven't bought the Freak, even though its price is really low lately. I keep thinking it won't add much, and then you come up with a video like this... Great sound design WF !
That was really great. You know your onions re micro freak. I have two and the zoom 70cdr. Do you think the microfreak is as good as the hrdrosynth explorer? Or maybe two microfreaks together as good or better? Only a random question. Would like ti know your opinion as you know what you are doing.
I have the original HydraSynth, and think it’s great. The poly aftertouch keyboard is wonderful to play. The synth engine on the Hydra is much more powerful than the MicroFreak, with a huge modulation matrix, three oscillators per voice and lots of parameters to tweak. But for some reason, I end up using the MicroFreak more. It’s just so lovable ❤️🎶.
Bravo! The MSCDR is amazing for the price. I love mine. I paired it with the BassStation2 after I saw some videos called Ambient Sketches from another UA-camr called Dreamware. Well done Waverformer it's a lovely little arpeggio piece. ✨🪐
I have both but also want to get a Head Exploder pedal from Death By Audio to add to this chain! As for the ZOOM MS70CDR, I wish they would have put a more powerful processor, one that can handle ANY effect chain you can configure. Rather frustrating sometimes when I want to chain certain effects, only to end up with “THROUGH” automatically and unexpectedly bypassing my attempts! 😫🤦🏻♂️😸😸
I agree. It would be fantastic to have an updated version of this pedal with the same form factor, a more powerful processor, all the effects from the the MS-70/MS-50/MS-100 and perhaps a few more thrown in for good measure 😀.
