About BALMAIN x H&M FASHION SHOW EVENT
On Tuesday, October 20th on Wall Street in New York, the Balmain x H&M collection made its global runway debut in front of a celebrity-packed audience which included. Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Ne-Yo, Diane Kruger, Coco Rocha, Jourdan Dunn, Zachary Quinto and F1 Champion driver Lewis Hamilton were among the guests on hand to get an exclusive look at the glamorous, powerful and richly detailed collection designed by Olivier Rousteing. The collection will be available in US stores and worldwide, as well as online, starting on November 5, 2015.
The night was as bold and powerful as Rousteing's designs, bringing together fashion and music to celebrate the collection in a venue themed like a futuristic subway system. After an exclusive preview of the campaign music video, starring Kendall Jenner, dance crews hyped up the crowd for a runway show featuring top models.
After the fashion show, the Backstreet Boys' took to the stage for a surprise live performance keeping the energy going late into the night with an audience packed with celebrities and fashion industry press celebrating the momentum for #HMBalmaination.

The quality won't be there though. The reason they can drop the price is because the fabrics/construction aren't the same. Also, the pieces are made in China by sweat shop laborers who make $1 a day. I understand why people like it, but for me there's too many ethical issues that I can't ignore.
+Justin Hopkins I agree that the quality wont be like Olivier's usually pieces and that's why it is a collaboration with h&M which is known as an affordable brand. This line was made so "everyday people" could also get a taste of his fashion, not his pure authentic original pieces. When it comes to the sweat shop situation that is a larger issue that has been going on go decades and I don't think that this one line can be shunned for what millions of other low end brands are doing. I'm not justifying it, in no way do I think it's okay to run sweat shops, but this brand was unfortunately not the first and wont be the last, if they were made in sweat shops. Those issues you are probably refering to run much deeper than fashion....I think Kenie may agree with me when I say we love this line just because the elegance it brought to such an everyday fashion based brand (h&m)...we're simply just enjoying the collection that was designed

Alessandra's walk was PERFECT
Karlie looks GLORIOUS... I have no words to describe the aura that surrounds her when she walks, or glides, rather. Kendall looks good on the runway too. Yes she had it easier than the others but she absolutely belongs on the runway. Besides she has a very intimidating walk.Oh, and the clothes were amazing.
Omg, this runway is SO long! lol! The models are like, "Ugh.. more stairs!" haha.

The collection was very good truly I enjoyed every single piece I saw but I have few critical points:
1. They should have let Alessandra Ambrosio to open the show. I know Kendall is the face of the Balmination but Alessandra is model class above her
2. The runway was not very practical. The stairs made it hard for the models but also let the shoes seem uncomfortable and the runway itself wasn't really good especially at 23min or so when all the models were passing each other it seemed like e school hallway.
3. They should have switched the song not after 20 min first.
4. The collection is called Balmain and HM but I didn't saw anything for every day to wear. All of the clothes are gorgeous but you can't wear them every day.
But anyway The collection was excellent loved it ! Bravo Olivier
But ale isn't the face of the campaign so Jourdan should of opened at least.
The collection is not supposed to be everyday like the rest of H&M
It’s to add a novelty / edge to the H&M and extend their basic next doorish brand

Agreed. I still don't consider Kendall Gigi and Bella real models. I highly doubt they'd be where they are right now if it wasn't for family connections. Most of these established models wouldn't be given any chance if they had the average skill that Gigi Kendall and Bella have smh. But I guess it's all about who's famous and who has more followers that designers are looking for these days. A damn shame.

This is definitely a solid collaborative collection. It may be "too runway" for some, but if you know anything about Balmain and Olivier you shouldn't have a problem. It's very true to Balmain's aesthetic but at an affordable rate. The beading and appliqué looks so tasteful. Im excited for the drop.

Norma Lilia compared to the first time I saw her in a catwalk, she did improve. I think the thing she should work on now is her face in pictures. She looks the same in every picture.
