I've been on two three-week trips this year (Hawaii). I had help to water my plants (following my customized water schedule for each plant😂), none of them die, but they just weren't as happy as they are under my care. 😂 Some got minor damages, some lost a few leaves, some got discolored. However I 100% agree that other than the ZZ plant that only needs water once every month, and the plants which I have in low light area and always only need water once every three weeks (Golden Pothos, Neon Philo, and Philo Brasil). Hoyas (I usually water my Obovata every three weeks and Krimson Princess every two weeks ish) and Monstera Deliciosa were the best and didn't change a bit. 🤣 And heart leaf Philos did better than Pothos too. If the plants can tolerate low light, putting them in a darker spot definitely helps. BTW I admire your dedication to this experiment. I wouldn't leave my plants unattended for three weeks. I got a bit stressed out even though I had help (so I try to keep my collection as small as I can). 🤣
I don’t think anyone paid attention but I am in love with your basketball hanging pot planter!!!! I also stay in Texas,Fort worth and literally the sun has been scorching and I was so scared for my yucca tree,I come back from a week vacation and it spit out two swords 😭 Texas sun can sometimes be a blessing That burle Marx is gorgeous 💚
I am amazed that your plants did as well as they appeared . There were a few hiccups but the fact that they perked back up is awesome! Very interesting video. Great job on telling and showing us what you did to help them survive that period of time between watering!! 👌🌿🥰💚
Because life, my plants frequently go two to three weeks without water. If they can't survive that, I can't have that plant. My Strawberry Begonia use to bounce back ...until it didn't. Hope yours does! Edit to add: I also live in a hot, dry area.
Looks like you had some nice surprises when you returned home.🥰. Give the Obtusifolia a chow stick or bamboo stake to give it some upward support and water, you'll be surprised!🤩😍
I love this video 💕 I just bought my 57th and 58th plant, I live in Dallas and I'm terrified to go on vacation 😬 I don't have hoyas but you've given me hope that I can hit the Caribbean before the year is over!! Thank you!
Noooooo! Not the strawberry begonia! It's so cute! I hope the poor thing perks back up😬 I'm super impressed at how well your plants did overall though! Makes me a little less nervous about my upcoming vacation!🤞🌿
I admire how brave you are for leaving your plants alone for that long! Sadly... I felt my plants with a friend last year for 1 month........and 90% died during that time. OVerwater........Maybe i'll try leaving them alone next time
Oh no! I get more nervous leaving plants with other people rather than by themselves. I think people have more of a tendency to overwater them and my plants tolerate underwatering much better than over. So sorry that happened to you!
really enjoyed this video!!! i am currently on a 3 week vacation and was too scared for my plants so i made a relative of mine take care of all my 50+ plants 😂 but its good to see that they could survive the 3 weeks :)
I would put a stake in the obtusafolia. I’m sure it will firm back up after the cells rehydrate. Thank you for doing this video! I found it very helpful and interesting!
This is exactly the video I've been wanting to see because I have a longer trip planned for next year and was wondering how my plants would do. I'm very encouraged now I won't come home to all dead plants. Where do you buy your clear pots for bottom watering your plants? Thanks so much. I always look forward to a new video from you!
I turned it to 77*F! It’s a bit warmer than I usually keep it but most plants like warmth and I still wanted some airflow. I moved them far away from the window though otherwise the heat would’ve been too much!
I do everything you do besides I don't use the small vases anymore. I use a five gallon bucket drill smaller holes then my string. Then take cheap sponges pull the string through the holes tuck the strings in the soil a little bit. I have found that helps a lot. Happy Growing and stay safe.
Very beautiful plants 💕👌
Your plants did a very good job!!!! all of them will came beautiful as always under your care.

So interesting, thank you so much!
wow nice video thanks
Are you learning a lot 😍💕💕
Great job on the plants. I'll be watching to see the micans and marble progress
So glad your plants survived. Hope you went somewhere nice.

Thanks for the video. Am about to have 10 days vacation. Now am not worried

Thanks! They all lost a couple leaves but honestly 2 days later you would never have known how pitiful they looked
I am so glad your plants survived! It gives me hope when I travel again.

My strawberry begonia lost quite a few leaves but looks super good now!

I was so pleased with how they held up! And to my surprise the peperomia actually stood right back up after I watered it
@@thepetiteplant That is WONDERFUL!🥰!!!!!!!

Yay! I hope they do well!

I had to chop quite a few leaved from the strawberry begonia but it's definitely looking better!
Interesting. I find it surprising that the plants in the smaller pots survived. 👍 They dry out much quicker. 🍃
Same! I was totally prepared for those to be toast
I admire how brave you are for leaving your plants alone for that long! Sadly... I felt my plants with a friend last year for 1 month........and 90% died during that time. OVerwater........Maybe i'll try leaving them alone next time
Wow I know you were upset.

I thought about having someone watch mine but I figured the plants would have a better chance of surviving if I left them by themselves hahaha
Please make an update a week later!
Loving your new intros
aw thanks!

If it needed more help I was definitely going to do that but it perked right up after watering!

Thanks! I usually get mine from any random plant shop, they’re usually by the pots or soil
Do you change your ac setting before leaving? I did that a few weeks ago and I found most of my plants looking yellow I suspect the house was to hot 🥵
I turned it to 77*F! It’s a bit warmer than I usually keep it but most plants like warmth and I still wanted some airflow. I moved them far away from the window though otherwise the heat would’ve been too much!
where do you get your planters from?
They’re from all over actually! I made a few videos about it!
💜💜
Great video! Ummm....what is the Micans in?
Thanks! And it’s in a basketball hanging basket haha
if you give the peperomia a support with it's water that can encourage it to sit back upright :)
It actually ended up perking up right after I watered it!
@@thepetiteplant amazing didn't expect that

Ooo ya that probably would've worked better
Ola
My fern and zebra plant died when I went away for a week😢
Oh no!! Ferns are so hard to keep happy if they don’t have consistent watering and humidity
You remind me of Jennifer Connelly very pretty! ,
Oooo loved her in the Labyrinth
You fill a bowl with water, and leave your driest plants in for 2 hours, they'll suck up the water they need and bonce back in no time
Bounce*
That's typically what I do! I've even left some plants overnight haha
@@thepetiteplant I saw you do it later on in the video, you were water bottoming some plants :) Good on ya :)
