Why isn't Aaron Rodgers at the Jets' mandatory OTAs? Brandon Perna & Tom Grossi discuss NFL news, NFL players, and football.

While this isn’t anything new for Rodgers, it doesn’t look good for Jets fans. As upset as some Green Bay fans were seeing him go, that trade continues to look like the exact right move
I thank the football gods every day i didn't grow up to be a Jets fan🙌🏿
Amen brother.
It's fine. Aaron Rogers only missed Jets mandatory OTAs because he had to meet with RFK Jr's election committee to strategize about the upcoming presidential campaign.
He tripping balls in Joe Rogan's sweat lodge.
He said to get all the bs that isn’t about winning out of the building, so he left the building
Rogers is cooked. he caught those brain worms and he can't smoke 'em out.
He just hasn’t recovered from his injury and is deflecting
ok chachi
@@veldrensavoth7119His brain will never recover.
@@albertcornett7408 I mean don’t you think it’s a massive coincidence that the last time we saw him he just so happened to hurt his other ankle/foot. I mean it takes a year for a 22 year old to just about a full year to recover from the injury he had last season, so I don’t know how it’s gonna be easier for a 40 year old.
I feel like rodgers is just trolling the entire Jets organization. We'll see if he ends up in Minnesota to complete the cycle.
Rogers being Rogers
What if Aaron Rodgers kinda sucks?
He was never good so
@@josephmuir4189 You buggin
@@josephmuir4189bro changed the game, all these qbs you see now
Josh allen
Pat mahomes
Jordan love
Purdy
All watched rodgers
Arod changed how qb is played and still to date no one has done it better
Sure mahomes may have won more, but he was also supported by an elite defense
Something arod only had once and that year they won it all
If being the best qb was all it took
Burrow would have more rings
@@navanater123 he has one super bowl and sucks in the playoffs - he changed nothing
He’s not a bad QB, but that don’t mean he don’t suck.
Thrilled that Rogers is no longer in GB. As for him skipping mandatory camp...He has only played four real game snaps with the Jets...regardless of everything he accomplished with GB, his only contribution to the NJ Jets has been to create drama and soak up salary cap space.
If the absence is ok with coach Saleh, then why is it unexcused? It makes the Jets look stupid just as much as it reflects badly on Rodgers.
I think that because these are mandatory camps, that any absence has to, by rule, be classified as unexcused.
You think Saleh is going to say that he is not ok with it?
@@markb3786 a good coach would say that everyone on the roster needs to be in attendance, and I mistakenly thought he was a good coach. Guess I was wrong.
I really think he rushed trying to come back last season and reinjured himself during voluntary OTAs.
@@zacharyfett2491not true. Multiple players across the league had excused absences. The absence has to fit in certain categories but teams have a lot of discretion. Three Packers were excused from their “mandatory” camp this past week.
As a Dolphins fan
This is the most Jets thing to happen to the Jets
My only thought on Jets fans being upset about this is that even though Rodgers has all of these accolades and successes, they weren't with the Jets. Rodgers has played all of 4 snaps for the Jets, so he hasn't earned the "sweat equity" to take time off in the fans eyes.
"Not a big deal that a 3 year MVP is missing mini-camp" He's only been with the jets for one year, and that year lasted what 3 snaps?
"Just to get us." = sociopath
It’s hilarious the Eagles trade Redick and he immediately holds out lol
Rodgers won't last half the season. The Jets won't win more than seven games.
I find it interesting how things come full circle. Favre got tired of practice and hated the off season drills. The Packers got tired of his act but tired to work with Favre. Favre retires and Packers move on to Rodgers. Favre wants to come back and the team stays behind its decision to play Rodgers. Then Favre goes to the Jets. Now Rodgers is at an age where he is tired of practicing and is missing practices with the Jets because he can.
As a Packers fan, we know Rodgers, for many years, hasn't seen the need to put in much time in the offseason building chemistry with his teammates, particularly the WRs, TEs, and RBs, so this is no surprise.
I think the Jets may have buyer's remorse...
He isn’t healthy
u really think that? Go ask the defense and Garrettt Wilson. The comment section sounds like they have never really completed before. The players don't care
@@TommyDavidVerbal dawg I really just think that Aaron isn’t 100 percent recovered
@@TommyDavidVerbal how many rings does garrett wilson have 0 - what the players on the team say is bs until win something - they did not even make the playoffs yet -
@@wuxin5847 Rodgers has 1 and always sux in the playoffs when it matters. What's your point?
*He hasn’t recovered from his injury I’m a colts fan ask me how I know. He is shamming and deflecting from that at his Age his new 100% is still being able to walk.*
I'm ashamed to be from the same town as Rodgers. Fortunately he doesn't get along with his family so he rarely comes back here, we don't care anymore because he was generally rude to everyone when he did come back. We're a much nicer breed of people here, we value treating people with respect.
All these idiots saying that the heat should be on Hasson Reddick when we know he's holding out for a contract and hasnt even technically joined the team yet.....
You can do the right thing for the wrong reasons just like you can do the wrong thing for the right reasons
Yes it is a big deal. He needs to mesh with those wr and te on the jets. Everyone said it wasnt a big deal when he was with the packers and he refused to throw to doubs and watson half over half the season his rookie yr. Smh. Good riddance
I wonder if Rodgers is tripping somewhere in New Mexico
Rodgers is washed. The Packers knew it and did the right thing.
really? what evidence do u have he's washed? Id love to know
@@TommyDavidVerbal well he played exactly 4 snaps all last year. I believe the narcissist that he truly is rushed his rehab and got hurt again during voluntary OTAs. I guess we shall see how he does against the leagues number one defense. The jets offensive scheme sucks or at least it did last season. The defenses knew what was coming before the play was called.
@@TommyDavidVerbal have you seen him the playoffs the last 7 years - he sucked - you must be blind
@@TommyDavidVerbalHim becoming a conspiracy nut. Too many hits to the head.
@@TommyDavidVerbal
I know. I've "done my own research" 😂😂😂😂😂
Glad not my qb ! Lol 💙🦬🏈. And #tomgrossicomedy #st.Jude’s ❤chaotic good. At least tom uses his platform for amazing causes! For all you haters out there .
Ah yes, May - July. Time when we are so starved of football that any small thing gets blown up to big news, cause we are bored
Aaron do something nice for someone??? Pee in the cup, dudes!
😂😂😂😂
Totally excused, but we are not gonna let the media know he was missing mandatory camp until after he missed mandatory camp. Who actually believes this?
Not my QB. Mine pretends he’s pitching with footballs at practice.
Fraudgers was never good
He is good, but he feasted on a division that for a decade couldn't win a playoff game if all their best players were put on one team. Then would immediately get bounced the minute he hit a quality playoff team.
He couldn't beat the Lions last time he faced them in GB. At Lambeau...
Rogers has had too many hits to the head and it has made him a conspiracy nut. He should retire,
*He hasn’t fully recovered*
u know this how?
@@TommyDavidVerbal as a colts fan this is Deja vu. This is how it starts there is no reason for him not to be there except that he isn’t fully healed. All season last season he was telling everybody that it was only a matter of time before he came back. Now he still hasn’t come back. Isn’t it a massive coincidence that he hasn’t been back since he had that other issue to his opposite foot/ankle coincidentally.
@@TommyDavidVerbal I mean this time last year really think about it, he was 100 percent healthy and he was running around trying to show the world how young he was, now look at him, he’s doing everything in his power to not show that he entire world that he’s 40 coming off a career ending injury. Like most 20 year old don’t recover from the type of injury he had 100 percent.
So he's skipping work to go get his fix, but everything is fine, he will come back and make up for it because he is so good. Typical addicted behavior.
I blame 40% on the media, 55% on Robert Saleh and 5% on Rodgers. A vet missing a mini-camp is nothing new, and a 20-year vet should have more privileges than the average player.
I would agree with that, if it weren't for the fact that the vet is on a new team, hasn't played meaningful snaps, is coming off a major injury, etc. He's no longer on GB where something like this could slide because he's already built a relationship with team mates on the field.
So glad my QB puts his team first so that I don't have to make desperate posts to defend his absence.
@jgasparmiswiredke I would agree with that, but he was there for weeks for all the voluntary stuff, and mini camp is only 3 days long. Missing 3 days is really no big deal.
@markb3786 Not even a Jets fan, just someone who thinks someone taking 3 days off of work when they have 20 years experience shouldn't be clowned on. He was there for weeks and misses 3 days. Who cares?
@@josephdowney2715 that's fair, but I would like to think that mandatory means that there would need to be an extreme reason for why he would miss. Like remember when Brady missed camp while in Tampa Bay? People were all over him. It' not necessarily that he's missing, but rather there isn't a direct reason for why he's missing something that's mandatory. And tbf, the Jets have a completely new offense this year in terms of personnel. At that age, coming off a disastrous injury, I doubt a lot of fans are going to be as understanding with that. He's under massive scrutiny atm, especially considering his first season with the Jets was a dud. Very few QBs of his calibre will be able to have a dud season and still miss mandatory camp.
Seeing tom of all people whine about a dude taking time is wild.... guy vacations every month and pretends he doesn't get a day off in years 😂😂😂😂
Brother, his "vacations" are charity events. What are you on about
Jets fans must be the most abused human beings on the planet. They are actually making excuses for this. He has literally done nothing for the Jets. He doesn’t deserve your undying loyalty.
There’s one rather large difference. And a few slightly smaller… Aaron is part of a team, Tom is a dude that runs a UA-cam channel. One could argue that much of Tom’s travels are actually work related and contributing to his continued success. Tom isn’t recovering from an injury that kept him out all of last year. Rodgers doesn’t think he needs the work and maybe he doesn’t but I’m going to bet all those young guys and free agents need the work with him so they can get on the same page. This is in fact why Rodgers’ leadership is always being questioned
@@sputnikalgrimto add to Tom travels, a lot of them are part of charity drives.
He had the entire off-season to take a vacation but during mandatory mini camp? Not even the voluntary ones?
Gender reassignment surgery?
Introducing Erin Rodgers!!!
Tom sounds like a dumped girlfriend…2 girlfriends ago.
Slow news day huh?
I guess know one has figured out yet that he his already hurt.
yes and he has to save face because of his lying about how great he is at coming back from injuries -
What a waste of space he has become.
