Love these long video's Clay. I know how much time and effort you put into not only filming but the work behind the scenes too. Modern gun season has just ended in my part of Ky, USA. My son, son-n-law and I were blessed to harvest meat for our families. Love it when your kids are involved. It means a lot to us parents who try to preserve a way of life that is too often forgotten. Keep up the lifestyle bro. This video took 3 days to shoot and 4 days to edit. I do it because I am passionate about family, hunting, fishing,composing music, cooking and creating content in a creative way. Clay Tall Stories You have no idea how much your videos mean to me. Three months ago I had a stroke at 51 years old. I was pretty active, and love the outdoors. Since then I haven't been able to do too much. Three month of no work have left me broke also, so even if I was able too, I have no money. Anyway, I have been able to live through your videos. Thanks for making them, and keep up the great work!

Great to see you out with your boy. My daughter was on my shoulders in the mountains from the age of 3.had her own knife and all she never missed a deer hunt.she is now more switched on than most blokes at hunting and loves her 7mm MAG. The red stags have just started roaring and she's keen as to go shoot one .I let her shoot all the deer now she's deadly with that 7mm.mag.
My daughter is the same mate currently she is doing a solo mission in the moletops with my old 243.

You can also simmer the bones for six to twelve hours in a stock pot and make a nice stock.
The bones actually contain more nutrients than the meat.

hey, love your videos...been watching for about a year now. I was wondering if you could do a video of camping trip with your family and only eat what you could hunt?
I will have a challenge video coming up a bit like that next year. Not sure how it will work out as you do not always catch every time you go hunting. If we don't catch anything it will just be a very hungry clip based over 2 or 3 days.

Hi Wayne. I am not really qualified to go heavily into what you should do during an earth quake mate. I know what I would do if we get the big one and all our infrastructure gets taken out but not every one has the resources to just up and go live in the hill and live from the rivers and bush. Strong suggestion: If you don't want any wounded animals running off, then don't try headshots. I know that a well placed headshot binds the animal instantly, but the the target area is just to small.
Nothing is more crule then a shot to the jaw.
A good shot into the heart/lung area is much safer. (And the game also bleeds out better)
Except for that, gread vid! I always enjoy them. Very interesting to see what difficulties are waiting in the NZ bush. (I miss NZ.... spent an awsome year there)
