- In the UA-cam video "Where is God? " Swami Sarvapriyananda ji explores the idea that ignorance, not space or time, separates us from God. Indian philosopher Shankara in Hinduism posited that foolishness is the only thing that keeps us from God. The speaker references René Descartes and his famous quote "I think, therefore I exist," but notes that Descartes did not examine what it is that exists. Vidar Swami, a philosopher from the Vijaynagar Kingdom of Karnataka, is discussed as having written about this concept 300 years before Descartes. Swami investigated the nature of experiences, which are distinct but illuminated by one constant consciousness. He used the analogy of light illuminating various objects to explain consciousness. Swami demonstrated through subtle reasoning and experience that one is the Consciousness, or Brahman, and that this realization can be found by looking inward and understanding the distinction between Consciousness and thoughts, which is often obscured by ignorance. The video concludes by emphasizing the importance of recognizing the underlying, undivided existence as Consciousness rather than focusing on names and forms to understand the nature of God.

I AM, WHO I AM, or I AM, THAT I AM. - Exodus 3:14 I AM who or whatever I say and believe that I am. I AM the Self Awareness, that is Existence. You might even call that "consciousness" if you want to use that word.

Dear Swamiji, Acharya Ramanuja differed with the advaitha based on certain reasons profounded by him. Saying such reasons/beleif as "stupidity" as quoted by some body is straight indictment of Vishistadvaitha by Ramanujacharya. Hinduism is passing through a very bad period now and in such situation comments like "stupidity" will further add bad impression to hinduism and its growth. Please note Swami Vivekananda always placed Ramanujachrya in high pedestal in the matter of social and religious reforms in our country. Hence please avoid quoting any body on some thing that might erode the pride and growth of hinduism. West Bengal is already witnessing certain forces acting against all the institutions of hinduism which may please be noted.
