Some of the things you said about depression around 12:00 minutes in I very much relate to. Whenever I'm having an episode, I am mentally aware that it's just an episode and it will pass with time, but the feelings are so strong and feel SO TRUE that it doesn't help at all and I just cave in. Hearing you describe it makes me feel a little more human, so thanks buddy :)
Yeah those distorted thoughts can be hard to overcome, and even harder to continue overcoming. Definitely not an aspect I’ve mastered in the least bit. Getting out of an intense emotional thought can be so hard, even when you are aware, but it’s like there is this part of your mind trying to defeat you, your subconscious not wanting to change, even if it’s good. Gotta challenge the parrot tho (that’s a whole thing maybe I’ll go into some time lol). We’ve got this tho, right!?
