With the current investments that the Japanese government is making to their defense budget, I believe the next few years are going to prove to everyone that the JSDF is one the most capable and formidable military forces in the world. I just watched a Charlie Rose interview with Lee Kuan Yew, where he mentioned about the strength and solidarity of the Japanese people. In that he confirmed after his 40 years of political career that the Japanese, as a group are the toughest people in Asia. Compared to their neighbors, which are the Confucianists (Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese). I'm just wondering how so? What is in the fabric of their society that allows for that strength? I assume it is related to the Zen tradition. Which originally comes from China. So I have even more questions lol. Have you any insight about this?

The most shocking ones were the Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima and the Atomic Bomb Museum in Nagasaki.
I grew up vowing that I should never go to war again, and I am 18 years old this year. I will do my best to study for Japan.

I think Japanese culture is too subservient to superiors. There, workers are regularly exploited because it is said that working a lot of overtime is part of the job.
