I totally agree... However…❗ What if that particular action figure has an awesome face and helmet? That's what I'm struggling with - especially when we're talking about the Lost Tribe members =/ I just don't know what to do about the Elder and the Warrior Predators...
@@nlmarkas i mean... the obvious solution is get 2 but i know that costs a lot. Beyond that, it just really boils down to whether if you want them as depicted in pred 2 or not. Ah the struggles of a collector. Elder does look awesome with all 3 heads especially with the lightup helmet.
@@rjzavala87 Oh hell yeah, he does lol No matter what you do with him, he's gonna look badass. I don't like how tight the fit of his sword's scabbard is though... =S I mean, I've broken Neca accessories before, and it really sucks... ≡cough≡ Alpha Predator's spear xÞ Some superglue took care of it, but still... And yeah, I guess I could get doubles, but I like to showcase my figures' uniqueness more than anything. So yeah... ‐.‐
I had the spiked tail predator when I was a kid, so I was excited when Neca made him and got him asap. Right out of the box, I turn his thigh just a bit and his friggin hip breaks on me. So pissed. They really do need to fix that problem. Beautiful figures, but too damn fragile!
It took me 45 minutes to unstuck the hips, they were somewhat glued, used as screwdriver as well to lose in up around the joints and oiled the ball joints, also I recommend to trim the hole where the 2 ball joints, it will free up the movement forward and backward.
yeah, I've noticed that on a few of them. it might be paint that gets in there and dries. either way it's really annoying cause I don't want to break the figure trying to move it.
Half of mine have their masks on -- the "higher-ranked" ones, mostly xD While the so-called "lesser" Preds typically go maskless. Also, the ones who have their outer mandibles puffed out in a roaring pose are usually just too cool-looking to replace with a mask -- no matter how badass their helmets may look 👈😎👉
In regards to masked/unmasked Predators, it depends. Usually if its a more unique mask (for example, the Armored Lost Predator) I'll probably keep it on. But like with say the Scout Predator that came out a while back, he just had the classic Jungle Hunter mask but in silver, which is probably my favorite movie mask design, but has been reused quite a bit and isn't as unique and I quite liked the look of Scouts unmasked head so I tend to keep him with it most of the time.
In the lore, Scout's actually from a unique tribe (or subspecies, perhaps?) of Yautja from some isolated island that's like, famous for training snipers, basically lol But anyway, as I'm sure you've noticed, Scout's got a unique-looking face for that reason. I personally prefer him unmasked because of that.
I bought this guy at a thrift store I found in my area, and the hips also gave me a problem. This video looks to be 2 years old lol I guess they never fixed the hips. I DID get the left leg moving but I had to soakit in hot water for a bit and even then I thought I broke it at the time. Glad to know how to use the arm cannon though, I’ve never seen a predator movie😂
Generally I prefer the masks, but I won’t knock a cool unmasked yelling predator head. Also, thanks for continuing to speak up about the hips on these figures. My AVP predators are phenomenal, but they have very loose hips, especially my serpent hunter; loose ankles too on a couple, but not as egregious as the hips. My Walmart exclusive city demon has the same issue. I need to apply floor polish on all their hips eventually, just can’t do it since they’re back home. But it’d be easier if NECA just redesigned the joint!
Ive had a few issues with these ultimates. Broke my lost predator (even after heating) and this one has the same issue for me where the hip joints are stuck
@@Megatron118x no. I returned them and got another at Target/Walmart. Last thing they replaced for me was several years ago an accessory for Scarface Predator.
The unmasked face is more reconizable and its a unique face but masks always end up winning because its more posied as tactical personally i miss the removable mask because that good pose missing is holding it
3:45 "I'm talking like Mike Tyson here" LOL...classic. But in answer to your mask question...Mask definitely. I love the fine sculpt and variety in the head gear. If you have more than one display one with the mask and the other unmasked. You are a wealth of knowledge and have helped me make up my mind on several purchases Predator and Alien alike. Thank you and subscribed.
I'm pretty happy with Scout and Guardian Predator. I just think they need to improve the paint quality like it once was. The paint quality of the Jungle Hunter and City Hunter went down and I understand they are re releases but that should not be an excuse.
Depends on the Predator, but usually I’ll have them displayed with out their mask. If the mask is cooler than the head, then I go displayed with mask on. Like the Bad Blood, I display him with his mask
If the face looks unique like the scout then I’ll leave him unmasked but if the mask has incredible detail, sculpt and paintwork I’ll leave him with the mask off for example the concrete jungle predator he has an awesome looking mask
It just depends on the mask/face. If its a unique mask, definitely go with that one. If the face is more unique, then go maskless.
Great advice 👍🤣

@@nlmarkas i hear ya, man. Gotta love how toy collecting can be a little stressful at times. Haha
"I'm talking like Mike Tyson over here"-🤣
Lmao
The bio mask was actually the rejected design from 1987 Predator
I got this figure a couple weeks ago and then you go and make this video? Must be my lucky day.
The blast effects look like Cheetos lol 😂
I like the masks. The eyes on the unmasked heads usually look really good though.

I prefer the mask but it doesn’t matter that much to me. They look great with or without.
I'm hoping they give us that Kenner flying queen that's teased on the box. I wonder if so, will she be a deluxe, or same size as the other queens?

5:34 - It will be great if you figure out everything and do a review!
And for me, it really depends on the predator. Lasor shot, alpha,,no mask..both stalkers, this guy...mask
What about scout ?

Honestly who only has 1 predator?
For multiple preds you can do a mix of mask and no mask!
But of course mask looks cooler
Cant wait till one 12 releases there version of the predator. Raise the bar a bit

Directions are on the back of the box haha. I just figured this out
I agree with u on their hip joints. Needs to be improved big time.. I hve a couple of them figures & its the hips. 👍 video. Keep it up
The gun arm + orange blast effect makes him kinda hard to balance. Took me a while to get him to stand up without falling forward
I usually do mask but i think the open face looks better on this one
Yoooo good video
Masks on! Great review
Mask #ultimate armored lost predator
Is this a problem with all the Predator two figures?🤔
All of this one probably
I prefer Mask cause it looks better and reminds me of tokusatsu stuff
I choose no mask cause it shows the amazing and cool face of a predator but my lab escape predator I leave the mask on cause of the LEDs
I got the exact same figure that you got and I have a similar problem I can't move the left leg it's just stuck there
i need some female preds. big mama, Valkyrie predator. bro if they made sister midnight with a removable cloak that would be awesome.
How would you scale him with sh figuarts
Mine is very the same, right leg is loose while left leg is stuck
There's some good stuff
Cool
And some bad stuff too
oh no
it depends on the Predator.
Has anyone else watched predator 2 as a kid?
QOTD just got political 😂
Great review Anthony! Mask-less all the way😁
How can I fix the thighs swivel please I have tried everything on the book, heatdryer, soap, hot water I don’t know what to do
I prefer the masks on
Anthony would you be willing to sell your usopp action figure
I just got this and those hips are as bad as he says ppl! This needs to be fixed.
Mask for me, their face all look alike (I'm predacist)
Oi
Mask all the way!
Mask
Question of the day: Did anyone even want this figure?
I did. Theres a lot of people like myself who want all of the lost tribe predator clan from the end of predator 2.
@@rjzavala87 I know. I'm kidding because he asked that in a few of the Marvel Legends reviews.
