My first flamenco teacher showed me the Pei triplet. He was a student of Paco Pena. It sounded too weak for my liking and I adopted the PmP version instead. But I still used the Pei in my practice to "confuse the fingers" and this helped to strengthen the pinky and helped to make other rasgueados sound stronger. I like to confuse the fingers also by practicing 4 stroke rasgueados in threes. These little things that hardly anybody mentions make a BIG difference in developing strong sounding rasgueados. You are a very good teacher. One of the best I've seen on UA-cam.
two month ago I started from your lesson with tangos, and today when you show this, I found that when Im disapointed and trying to play what ever I can, I play just in such way)))
Was wondering if Ben Woods backward rasgueado is gonna show up here. Are you able to perform it? Can your index finger flick off independently from pinky? Mine are codependent and pinky goes away with ring so Bens technique is impossible to me. Or is it possible to make them independent? From what Ive read its not recommended since its just how some people are build and youre gonna screw up your fingers if try to force it.

Because I’ve suffered and still have flare ups of CTS I do my triplet rasqueado with my index rather than my middle is that weird lol ??
Whatever works for your fingers!
