Vlatko from leb I sol (bread and salt) is the same level with Clapton,Page,Beck,and with Tocak (Wheel) guitarist from SMAK bend

My favourite bands are Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Rush. But Leb i Sol and Vlatko Stefanovski are very close behind. I've seen Vlatko live in many iterations at least 25 times.
I recommend also listening to his acoustic stuff, especially the Krushevo album, collab with Miroslav Tadić. Try Eleno Kerko live, especially the version with Teodosii Spasov accompanying them with kaval flute.
It's again rock version of a traditional macedonian folk song done by Leb i Sol, they were known by doint it back in the 70s,80s and half of the 90s when they disbanded. Check out some live video footage of their reunion tour in 2006, for example the song called Devetka, it's pure macedonian blues, jazz, rock anthem, masterpiece of individual musical skills by each band member

"Skakavac" is my favorite song from Leb i Sol. First time I saw them live my jaw dropped. I haven't heard anything like them before. I went to see them every time they played somewhere near, all in all about 5 or 6 times. This guy came out of mothers womb holding a guitar.

It's called odd meter, not assymetric rhythm. This song is in 9/8. Leb&sol has many songs in odd meter, usually 7/8 and 11/8.

2006 leb i sol tour was probably something most beautiful my ears ever heard, besides my mother voice and birds singing :)

Šteta što je ritam odsviran na bubnjevima a ne na originalnom „tapanu”, inače ovo je poznati makedonski kontra ritam i tradicionalna makedonska pesma. Što se Leb i Sol tiče, za mene im je najbolja stvar ikad „Marija” i to je jedina stvar koja može da parira „Tegobi” grupe Smak, bez obzira na užasnu produkciju PGP-RTS zbog koje bubnjevi šuplje zveče a soprani kidaju uši.

Here is another proof to think about the statement that communism was bad. Now we have 'democracy' and thrash music, and during communism one of the best Rock scenes. Before, culture was respected and Yugoslavia invested a lot in culture and sports, but today it's garbage brought by some new system of 'values'. I'm sorry that you have a hard time understanding our cinematography. It was even better than the music.
This guy really stucked in YU music. To bad that there is no so much singles of Azra in yt. YU music was top and always in trend with the best bands in the world. So much good rock and also rock in fusion with ethno music and rithm from this area

One more. Please check the famous ex yugoslavian and serbian punk band - Pekinska pattka. (,The Beijing Duck". With Paraf, Pankrti, Prljavo kazaliste, Radost Evrope, Termiti, Elektricni orgazam, Sarlo Akrobata they were most influential band in Yugoslavia, Eastern Europe, and english music newspaper Melody Maker were wrote about them and others. I can stand that you prefer hard rock bands, but you can also see the treasure of yugoslavian and serbian punk and new wave, and songs - Biti ruzan pametan i mlad, Bolje da nosim kratku kosu, Bila je tako lijepa, Poderimo rock. Some specialists for punk and new wave music have claimed that yugo punk- wave were third in the whole World, behind England and U.S.A. It's not good to ignore them. Last time I wrote these suggestion. Thank you very much.

IDK if someone commented of very very bad lyrics translations? It's not "ljiljana is one mother" it's "ljiljana, the only daughter" (one of her mother actually means the only daughter).
It's also scolding both times, not punishing.
And although the music is beautiful, the lyrics are kind of sick, I mean, the mother gave him the wrong advice, to attract Ljiljana with material goods, and then he blames Ljiljana for not coming, instead of his mother for giving him the wrong advice :D
The moral of the story: never marry a guy who still asks his mother for love advices in his grown age :D :D :D

Macedonian bands rulled the instruments in Yugoslavia, there are much better pieces than this one, about 13 albums of Leb i Sol, should also hear Den za Den, a band which even many of my people dont know, god damned maniacs
