Hi thanks for that. What did you mean by the final response to stops? You mentioned not putting the stops 'too big' and not on 'heavy shares'. By big, do you mean not too tight? And by heavy you mean don't sell all your stops?

When managing stops, it's important not to place them too tight, as normal price fluctuations can trigger an unnecessary exit. At the same time, avoid setting them too wide, which could lead to bigger losses than necessary. As for position sizing, it's often better to scale out of a trade rather than selling everything at once. This way, you lock in profits while still allowing for potential upside. Hope that helps!

There are a ton of "gurus" on youtube. Most are garbage peddlers. Pat never makes projections, this is the sign of a real investor. I'm a slow learner so I keep listening to Pat's message over and over again so it sinks into my brain so deep that it becomes part of my DNA.

Jopie, you’ve got the right idea! There’s no shortage of ‘gurus’ selling hype, but Pat keeps it real-no wild predictions, just solid investing principles. And you? You’re turning smart investing into muscle memory. Or better yet-DNA… Disciplined. No-Nonsense. Actionable. Keep soaking it in until it’s part of your investing instinct!

If a stock gaps down at the opening, but then at the close of the same day, it’s a solid green candle where the price ended at the very top of the day’s price range on BIG volume but the new candle didn’t reach back up to the lowest price of the previous day, is that a good candle or a bad candle?

Great question, @autoteller! That’s actually a good candle because it shows buyers stepping in aggressively, pushing the stock off the lows and closing strong at the high of the day. While it hasn’t fully filled the gap yet, it’s making an effort, and a move over the top of that bar could indicate a continuation towards a full gap fill. The key is follow-through-if the stock moves above that high, it increases the likelihood of closing the gap completely, which is the ultimate objective. Watching volume and broader market conditions can help confirm the setup!
