The Bailey & Comfort routine from Luther Brown “tell me when to go” was everything. But you had to get it or you didn’t get it. That was the original hip hop right there. So proud of Luther for doing that.
Luther is about straight dancing! His routines were always fun to watch if you like hip-hop dancing. Not a lot of tricks. Just letting the dancers cut loose 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
No Air still makes me cry after all these years. Sad to not see Sexy Love. I didn't know lyrical hip hop existed until Allison and Ivan made me fall in love with the genre. I still have a clip of that on my computer, and watch it every now and again!
Oh my Gosh! Josh and Katy and No Air always gives me the feels, lyrical hip hop. Such chemistry between them. So many other iconic dances, Samba and Bollywood, with these two. Twitch with Katy as well. And Twitch and Alex! Alex was a ballet dancer! And he could do that?
I cried like a baby watching this original show. Reminded me when my husband used to leave (military). Made me fall in love with this song. I think Josh won this season (not sure). Miss Twitch’s smiling face too...RIP💔💔💔
I know most fans wouldn't consider Season 13 since it's seen as the Kids version... but TBH, there were some incredible routines that could easily rival the main series. Fikshun & Kida's Bee Routine is easily at the top of the list, but almost everything FIkshun & Kida did and at least 3 of Comfort & Tahani's routines could be on this list.
For copyright reasons I had to cut all the routines from season 12 from this series. In this part, at #7 I had Virgil and Joshua’s hip hop. Sorry about this.
Funny thing is that Jasmine(on the left) went on to become a dancer on Beyoncé 's tour. And she was on the show as a contemporary dancer if I remember correctly
A fellow Jasmine Harper fan I see. Yes, loved all her routines. Loved Twitch and Alex too. And any time Twitch and Comfort were back for pro duties. Luthor and NappyTabs always delivered the goods with great routines.
Jasmine and comfort 11:26 are of the best hip hop dancers on that season and they killed that routine them two girls can dance God bless keep using your talent be wise don't get money hungry but do chase your dreams to be comfortable with your money but God bless you you're both going to do plenty of good things and keep dancing ladies you look beautiful doing it and you do it very well 🎉

I will say you are missing some of my favs. The only ones on here that I agree should be in the top 10 are with the contestants from season 4. I really don't understand how you can have a top hip hop list without including the winners who are hip hop. Where is Russell & Fikshun? The dance Benji & Travis did was EPIC in season 2! I really hate Shane Sparks got in trouble. He was definitely my fav hip hop choreographer.

13:18 - NOPE, for me the "Robot" routine (tWitch was on of the "robots" and Cyrus was the other) was one OF THE BEST in the SYTYCD - WAY more desrving of first place. Totally unrelated - I can never forgive the shitty life that prevented me from seeing Alex Wong and Melanie Moore dancing together.
