@@aikitherese Hi Therese! Yes, life has become very busy all of a sudden. I'm thankful that I can rise to the challenges, though. I hope all is well in your world, and you weren't impacted too much by tbe hurricaine. What a tragic situation.
Hi Cheryl, my hubby and i have been cleaning out too. Our house and our basement and the garage all have been piled up for years, and it is time to get rid of it. We have been hauling things to the thrift store every day and trashing other stuff. My parents passed, leaving a big mess for me and my husband to have to clean out. We just decided we didn't want to die and leave our mess for our daughter to deal with. I am so proud of you doing so much cleaning out. Also, things are looking really good around your place. I know it has made me feel so much better mentally by cleaning out. I was dealing with depression after my mom passed, and staying busy has really helped so much. Have a wonderful evening.
Funny how we get to a place in life where we're ready to let go of stuff. I've given a lot to my kids, donated a bit, and made a few dump hauls. I feel lighter and stronger with each unnecessary possession I get rid of!
My friend!!! I am so sorry about ur friend and I hope u will be alright, and take it easy. The heat is crazy I know, cuz I was outside, doing yardwork and even in the shade it was hot. Tho we had a cold spell last night n this morning was nicer. Fall is here! I will pray for ur friend and for u too, girl!! Love u!!!
@@cherylcoyote lol same here, not any rain, really. But, the heat won't stop me from doing something I want to do. I can't just be sitting around watching tv, cuz I have gained some weight and now I am determined to lose it!!! haha...Love u sis!!! Be careful out there!!!
So sorry to hear about your friend, My husband and I have not been feeling well and with the same symptoms as you, Hope you feel better soon. And your friend gets the help he needs❤
How funny we were just in shell Beach and Pismo a few days ago... next time we will have to stop in you brother's store to look around... Have you ever been to the Joy Health Bar on Shell Beach Rd in Pismo? They have the best smoothies and healthy treats in that little shop. and great little gifts too.
@@julie-joywilliams7280 I've never been to Joy Health, although it's now on my list for the next time I visit. I enjoy stopping in at the grocery store next to the surf shop, DePalo and Sons - excellent deli section.
Working in the yard really is therapy for stress. It was a very long time caring for someone and moving them on added new stress. I'm picking up black walnuts from one prolific tree and my elderly neighbor wants them. Her sons not thrilled with the idea. Good workout for me. Please get enough rest for yourself.
Cheryl, you have one of the biggest hearts I know, but you have to take care of yourself first. If you burnout no one will be able to rely on you and if Grant is gone you are all alone which kills me. I wish I lived closer. PLEASE take some time for self care too. Love you!
Awww, thanks sweetie! I'm outside just drifting from one messy project to another. It's medatative for me to clean. I wish you were here too, or I were there. So how are things going with you? I haven't been on facebook much. Maybe we can chat via phone sometime soon?
So sorry to hear about your friend. And you not feeling well. Kind of in the same boat with my grandmom. She needs to sell her home and be someplace with help. But she flips flops constantly about decisions. And i don't know what it is but she acts like she can't do anything for herself.( for example she called me into the room to turn the fan on, or open the curtain.....stuff like that, but it'sall day every day)She has been staying with my parents for several months and she hasn't cooked or prepared any meals for herself on her own. Hasn't showered for weeks on end. Claims she can do spongebaths just fine. Not. And doesn't listen to what her doctors tell her to do. It's such a mess. She's very difficult and my poor mom is at her wits end. Pray for us 😅😅😅
@@leenymick7745 Sounds like a combination of mild dementia and fear. It would be helpful to get her doctor's opinion. What is it about old people and not showering!? Even Grant and I are falling into that a little bit. We get fatigued, our joints hurt, but more insidious, we start to believe that nothing really matters. Why get cleaned up? For what? For whom? I think as we age we draw inward, even when surrounded by family, although her clingy behavior might be fear of being forgotten, especially if she's not normally dependent or demanding. I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this with your grandmother. I wish I knew what the answer was. You're in my thoughts.
@cherylcoyote yeah i definitely agree with you on all of that but she is a very stubborn bird and is allergic to saying thank you or showing gratitude so that definitely doesn't help lollll but we still do our best to make it work as best as possible.

Well I hope he gets better. Thanks for sharing this Cheryl. What a bad story. Hope all is well.
