      It is a marketing video, essentially an advertisement for his future cult that all creators will have to join if he succeeds. Advertising to the public has got so creative at manipulating people that most are brainwashed by it. I'm kind of scared what this means for small creators and then eventually big creators.

  • @JaretCampisi

    I think its very simple. Have a patreon page for 368. Patrons can support casey and his show which will allow 368 to fly content creators out, work with them to perfect their craft etc. ALSO and I think even more important than that is CREATE A PATREON PAGE for each content creator that comes on the show and help them get it set up for what they do. That is how you truly help up and coming creators get paid on a consistent basis and turn their passion into their full time income. In this way everyone wins AND patreon is still the central hub for everything that is happening. Your welcome AND I love your videos and I've been making a living on patreon for almost a year and its amazing :)

      @thisunicornlife 6 років тому +2

      Was 100% my thoughts. I got some friends who are in NYC and have 160k subs who would make perfect additions to 368. I myself and just starting this game but I can 100% see this as a model. Also, I would be 100% happy to throw $10-100 a month at a creator I love.

    • @autocrossaholic

      i think Jack is envisioning something a little more collaborative instead of just a "would you like a loyalty card you get an additional 10% back on every purchase"(distinct businesses contracted for limited time and resource to provide co-branding on a single product), i am totally reading between the lines here and may be way off but when Jack says he wants to really cultivate and nurture content creators on a journey of learning and support to do what they're passionate about i think he means a truly integrated and vastly different kind of support than just what patreon(alone) or 368(alone) can offer a creator(money you can count on in the bank every month, or a space to do things and learn things and develop your craft) i think he's wanting both of those things in tandem to be a spring board for an entirely new product. maybe branded under 368 or maybe not, but i think he wants it to be more than the sum of its parts. and i think they can do it. in fact i think they can do it better than any other two entities with the drive or the momentum right now. It's amazing to see how far this has come since Pomplemousse threw a t-shirt design contest and a mystery in common won. great people can make things together. great ideas change HOW people make things together.
      When Jack said that Casey should get into VR, i think that may have been a breadcrumb. No one who's a full time artist has the time to watch how to videos to hone their craft. it takes years(sometimes decades) of unpaid or negative pay(tuition) to learn some of these things and what if you could jack-in to a creative space any time you want and actual experiential tutorials could just live contemporaneously in that space? This could be a game-changer. it would be more than just the sum of their parts, which is what you're describing.

      Where did that come from? I don't even quite understand where you were trying to go with that comment, it sounds like you need to do some focusing on your own life you seem to have got extremely triggered for no reason... definitely some underlying issue going on with you right now you should probably focus on that. Best of luck!

    • @2CommaClub
      @2CommaClub 6 років тому

      I was making a comment for the lulz bro. Relax. And you're being very hypocritical and you are so defensive that I know well enough not to engage with someone like you, because it'll get me nowhere and just end up wasting my time. I've already wasted too much time reading your misguided comments. So maybe you should take your own advice and go help your local communities. You don't know everything, and I'm 99% sure you don't know Jack personally so you don't know with 100% certainty why he makes the videos the way he does. You also made an assumption that I have no background in psychology or history, which isn't entirely true. But to act like you know me so well having never met me says a lot about you and honestly you are coming off very foolish right now. An apology from you would help to continue the conversation but I doubt I'll get that from you so I'll say it one more time, best of luck. I really do mean that.

      If you're not good enough, then probably yes... not all can have channels that support a living, some may just do it because they enjoy sharing and the rest is bonus. The ones that do exceptional work will still be a minority, what he's giving is a possibility to some of those that may have a hard time being discovered to do better, or improve even more, and with collabs or whatever make it easyer for them to grow. It's impossible for 368 to support every Creator on this Platform, but it can help many.

    • @GeneJordan
      @GeneJordan 6 років тому +1

      Redscope I would recommend that you go back and listen to what Jack is saying again because that is not what I am hearing him say at all.
      Nothing in life is free. It takes an investment of hard work, patience, dedication, sacrifice, and time to be a content creator. Not everyone is going to be willing to invest those things. However, the ones that are will benefit from it. If you can alter your attitude to look for ways to inspire people, rather than crap all over their concept before you understand/comprehend what they have to offer, I think you'll find a happier way of life. Without a change of heart, I don't think you are the target audience for Jack and Casey's combined idea.
      Of course, I could be wrong. However, I think this concept transcends 368, UA-cam, Casey's, and maybe even Jack's wildest imaginations.

    • @GeneJordan
      @GeneJordan 6 років тому

      Redscope Yet you are still watching their videos now, aren't you? ;)
      There are other video platforms than UA-cam. There are several other ways to make money off of creating content than from the videos themselves. It takes being able to learn how to think outside of the box. I think both Jack and Casey not only have discovered how to do this, but I also believe they can teach and inspire others to do so in their own ways.

    I have to just say wow. That's it, carry on (BTW, thank you so much for Patreon, it literally changed my life. And when I say "literally" I mean it. Not in the way people say "I literally just died!", but it did literally change my life so I could work again, doing the job I love, after a HUGE life changing thing happened to me. Anywho, thank you :-)

    If I'm not mistaken, I think that's the Old Monk Legend bottle behind Casey at 06:00 - the one shaped like a monk's face. It's probably the best rum in the world.
    PS- the creator of that rum died earlier this year in January.

  • @GeneJordan
    @GeneJordan 6 років тому

    Jack, I seriously think that whatever you and Casey come up with, it could transcend 368, Casey, UA-cam, and Patreon. Whatever 368 inspires could be duplicated in every city anywhere. There are already Hackerspace, Makerspaces, and Creative Spaces that have embraced this concept. Add in Patreon, your inspiration, experienced content creators, and a location to create content and you've got a winning recipe. The loose framework is already available via the creative type spaces listed above that are already located in most major cities! I believe in your concept so far and I can't wait to see where you take it and where it will take itself!
