I have a 650Q that is not circulating water and the flush hose is not allowing water in. I think I'll try this method first before pulling the manifold. Great Video.
and in future avoid the following 1)engine working / start at shallow water 2) parking on a sand as i do remember per manual there should be ~3 feets depth minimum to operate a jetski.
it was one of my best improvements because1) i do not need to open hood to flush the engine and it is not extremely loud i.e. my neighbors are not angry. 2) next time it will not leak inside but outside 3) i will see the leak and will flush muffler 4) this jetski (yamaha) is unsinkable thanks to floats inside. i guess you owns "sinkdo" jetski?
@@RUS_US Naw. I own a built 440/650 swap Kawasaki standup, Yamaha VXR Pro 701, Kawasaki X2 with a yamaha 701 62t swap and a couple Waverunners 500's and one Waverunner 650. Anytime you drill a hole (scupper) into your ski. Its just another place for air to escape if your ski is sinking. lol. I like to stay away from holes... But hey, If it works for you.. That's all that matters, brother! Id never buy a Seadoo.. lol. Ever.
good question ... it was always there since i bought it in 2017 ... but i cannot find this part in www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/l/yam/5003a345f870021f60a12956/1993-wave-runner-iii-wra650r-parts per the link it should be plug but not the hose. Funny .i.e. or the engine is not for the jet ski or it was modified to allow the flushing after salt water. If the hose should not be there for flushing then how the 650R suppose to be flushed?
Hello, can you tell what were the symtoms of the cooling system not working? Mine is changing sound slightly, loses revs, then shuts off, but only happens after like an hour of usage, then doesn't stop ...
Sounds like your carb is clogged. Or some of fuel filters. Flush it or buy a new carburator. To check if the cooling system is working i would check engine top temperature. And exhaust watervtemperature. There should be some required maximum. In my case engine was pushing water out from hose connection because exhaust was clogged.
Hey for some reason on my waverunner the little water tube that comes out of the muffler was left with nothing on it and the one that goes into the head of the Sea-Doo was capped off are you familiar with anything about that. I was just going to hook it back up
not clear. By "Muffler" i mean the part which is shown on 9:20. It has two water tube connections (big). Could you point time of the video with "the little water tube" you wrote about?
@@RUS_US so did cleaning this box out help you? I keep blowing the rubber boot off on top of motor where exhaust is. Basically right where your red flush line is connected. My exhaust is backing up or something.
Where is the red hose that was leaking hook up to my jet ski leaks from a hole where it looks like you have that hose and idk how to stop the water leak
But at the video where you post your comment it is shown how to flush the water way. Most probably some sand collected in the muffler when you did park your jetski on shore.
@@RUS_US so you think I need to flush my cooling system because u think something could be plugging it up but also there is a hole in the top of the housing that that red hose is hooked up to that idk if it is supposed to be open or closed or what
@@RUS_US if you don’t mind do you think you could show a video on what that red hose is hooked up to is it like a pipe plug or something because I only see a bolt hole there and I am trying to figure out what goes there if not just describe what hooks up to that bolt hole

Drilling a hole (scupper) in the side of the ski was a dumb idea. lol. Fun video to watch though!
