He is not one of my favourites.
He is the only Bengali singer who is my favourite.
I grade his voice as super voice.
Singers with super voice are rare.
I love all his Rabindra Sangeet Numbers.
I love them too much.
Inspite of his super voice,I don’t pay much attention to his film songs.
I personally dislike Rabindra Sangeet being used as love songs on the screen.
(Rabi Thakurer Gaan. Mantrer saman.)
I feel it to be a kind of leakage of sanctity,gravity,seriousness and grace.
Earlier I was used to listening Rabindra Sangeet of Hemant Mukhopadhyay.I still listen them.
But the depth of Hemant Mukhopadhyay’s voice is different from that of Srikanto Acharya.
Pitch and frequency of both are different from each other.Srikanto feels fresher.
Srikanto’s voice catches me a bit quicker and impacts deeper.
Doesn’t Srikanto look a bit like Rabi Thakur?
Some of his songs overwhelm so much that one just enters into a kind of trance.
Had I not discovered Srikanto,I would have committed a great omission in my life.
