    I'd love to see a "Cracking the Code" series!
    Eternal respect for always keeping it real with us, Brian; sometimes it can be reassuring to see that the even the best of pros don't always go out and whack a 25lbs bag, and I think it could be a really informative series for those of us who are working to develop our methods & techniques for breaking down new, or challenging waters!

    I’m with you on this….I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of a tough spot to fish…and then the bigger satisfaction of hooking/landing a fish. To be honest, a 2-3 bass day at the spots I fish from shore would be considered a good day….our small lake ponds are so pressured….if you catch over a limit, it’s an epic day!

    I definitely would like to see a series on these “difficult” lakes. I feel your pain and always second guess on when should I move, change baits, am I being too impatient etc. 🤙🏻

    Many river-run systems experience nearly constant turbidity or suspended solids due to current and runoff. This reduces primary productivity or reduces the food chain. There will be a higher percentage of rough fish like carp and gar, and usually gizzard shad. The sportfish populations like bluegill and subsequent bass will generally be a much smaller component of the overall fish population. I'm familiar with that area, lot of suspended sediment most of the year. Makes for tough fishing for sure. Love your videos, keep it up!

    I'd be curious to see you do a series interviewing DNR officers to get their opinion on why a certain lake or river isn't producing, and to see if they've done any studies or research regarding the topic. I think the idea for this series is really good and would like to watch more.

    I would love to watch a series that covers the harder parts of fishing. I feel like it's all to common that a video comes out telling you what to rig, what to rig it on, and where to cast. While I love those videos and tend to learn a lot, what I don't see much of is struggles and/or fails. Also how to deal w/ them and turn your day around.

    I fish alot of tough places here in SW Louisiana and I start beating myself up thinking I just suck at fishing! But something always happens that gives me hope and faith I'm doing the right things at least to the best of my abilities... I will talk to someone else at the ramp or on the water and find out that it's not just ME! Most times everyone is struggling not just myself and that is enough to keep my head up and help me just keep on fishing! I said all of that lol 😆 to say this it is encouraging to see someone like you BLat who is a phenomenal angler in my opinion have the same kind of days that most of us experience all too often depending on what bodies of water you get to fish. So Thank You it's actually encouraging and shows us it happens to the best of us 🤷🏼‍♂️

    So glad to see a pro have the same challenges a lot of us have with poor success. My last fail was finally getting to my fishing hole very early to beat the 100+ degree temps we were having only to lock my keys in my car as I went to the rear area to get my gear. Had to ask a Mexican farm worker to call a tow company to unlock my car! I had no phone and he did not speak much English and neither me speak Hispanic! It all worked out miraculously.

    Brian my bro. I have been subscribed from the camper top beginning! When you won Seminole I was so happy for you. I know people are going to call me a bitch for saying this and I could just keep my opinions to myself but you presented an opportunity for me to point out my frustration on the current situation in my river. There is garbage everywhere and on several occasions I have rescued birds and fish caught up in fishing line. I know it was just a tag end but you are someone who I admire and I'm sure young people look up to. By putting yourself on this platform you open yourself to criticism and praise. I will not judge you because I don't know you but please keep the trash in your boat and maybe take this opportunity to address our responsibility as anglers to be the custodians of this great nation's waterways. With all do respect!! 🙏

    • @thefishinmusician801
      @thefishinmusician801 2 роки тому +1

      I was surprised to see that line go in the water too. There is no reason to throw anything in the water. No matter how small. Litter is litter. We all loose baits in the water on accident so the least we can do is not throw anything overboard on purpose. You are not being a "bitch". This is a perfect platform for these types of opinions. I would hope a honest and respectful dialog would be welcome on such a matter. We all love the sport of fishing and as anglers, don't we all want the environments and waterways we fish to thrive? That being said I would love to see content on breaking down a lake when the bite is tough! Great idea!

It's rough most days and to hear you ask the same questions I ask every time like these spots are awesome on the river bluegills feeding like crazy plenty of cover prime ambush spots. But no bass! My best days are on high water flooded muddy water days bouncing finesse rigs through the rocks in heavy current. Like they get flushed out of hiding. Crazy. Just spent some time living in Wisconsin on Lake Winnebago and man that fishing is so much different than here at home. Maybe those old textiles on the Saluda did her in. Maybe I'll see ya out there some time.

    I have several places like you describe where fishing sucks. Please do a series on how to fish places that suck

    I just fished this exact spot two days in a row I got three bass each day out of a kayak with no electronics lol couple thousands cast per fish easy. I hate that the fishing sucks but I’m glad I’m not the only one struggling out there lol
