Another bad thing he did was to imprison Theseus and Pirithous with the latter winding up dead as Heracles was only able to free Theseus. Though Hades had a reason. I mean when you know that someone's lusting after your wife and about to kidnap her, it's only proper to punish them along with any accomplices
@@Axiian19 Yeah... Ofc, the punishment for Pirithous to dare to lust after the Queen of the Underworld is there for him. Though Helen is lucky to be rescued. Aish. Theseus should've also been punished

Truly T-Rexcellent animation my friend, I especially loved the part where Persephone petted Cerberus, something about her treating this giant fearsome three headed beast in the same manner as any beloved pet appeals to me.
@@earlsmith6722 agreed, tongue out is generally a sign of a happy dog, I’m currently writing a Greek Mythology and I’ve written her as a dog lover, with Cerberus, and the other two heads, Notch and Spot evening referring to her in their thoughts as their adoptive mother, and her also adoring the protagonist Wolfdog.
I love the subtle inner conflict, she doesn’t want to leave her mother, the dying of the summer seasons is now like a death of part of herself. But she is also relieved to see Hades waiting for her, coming home, another side to herself is reborn.
Truly beautiful work. I always like the aesthetic of Persephone’s soft pink colors and Hades dark colors. The use of small sound (bare feet walking, wind) gives a good eerie vide until the end. And the music when Hades meets her is so lovely!
Those spirits floating around Persephone make me think they’re very happy to see her too; a blooming rose of beauty as they begin their eternal lives in the melancholy underworld
It's simple but beautiful! It has a uniqueness I haven't seen in a while! The animation is stunning, yet I can still see the effort put into it! I love the big boi's design! I've never seen Cerberus portrayed as such a serene looking canine. Normally people go with a more aggressive looking mastiff mix, but yours looks like an actual mythical creature, not just a three-headed dog!
Hades, the god and ruler of the Underworld. Persephone, the goddess of spring and the daughter of Demeter. Extraordinary. So much wonders, I can see and their inner beauty. Hades and Persephone are beautiful this way in the anime. From what I saw was, the Underworld did not look as dark and gloomy as everyone thought it was. It looked beautiful, mystical and clear. A pure afterlife. The god of the Underworld was happy to see his beloved Persephone after they stayed apart for weeks and months. Reunited and lived happily ever after.
Wonderful visualization! The Underworld here is solemn and majestically lovely; it's obviously not the Living world, but it has a beauty of its own. Very well done!
Hades looks amazing!! I love the contrast between him being pale and Persephone being more tan-skinned to show the difference of life and death. Also CERBERUS’ LITTLE BLEP I CAN’T- ❤❤❤
1:03 Heart dropped I saw the goodiest boy on the block. Cerby! Hades, on the other hand, an elf lord that has seen so many things, that nothing beats seeing his beloved wife. Kind of sad that he's waiting by a riverside, crouched and in pain.
@@DGneoseeker1 And I fire back with the same, rephrased. Because there is no other race with such features of longing. Downside of being immortal, it gets awfully lonely.
I once red a take on the story where Persephone was not quite literally Gaia's daughter but instead the part of Gaias Soul that was fractioned and split apart when she was violated (in tbe origin Hades forced her to be intimate, as in quite a few of the greek gods stories), and further altered/ alienated to 'be' a different person that originated from Gaia but was drifting apart as a result of the dissonance between the obsessive/addicted, trauma-bonded connection to Hades and the urge to stay as far away from him as possible, where the splitting of one part to go under and one to stay up was the methaphor for the final dissociation and the grief that Gaia went through was that of the loss of that oart of herself.
Lovely and well done. As someone else here said, you managed to make the Underworld, a place we would assume to be horrible and awful, still have beauty and peace. The music you chose is both beautiful and melancholy. What is it called, by the way? Very well done.

Good animation. If i may critique though, the lights that follow Persephone after she pets Cerberus...i can't figure out their purpose and i think they could have been animated smoother. Very interesting design for Hades! I thought he was a handmaiden for a moment...😅 and i find myself wishing we'd seen like a transformation, a visual shift in Persephone as she leaves behind "Demeter's daughter" and becomes "Queen of the Underworld". Even if this had been a gradual change the deeper in the Underworld she went, or an all at once switch when she took Hades hand.
This reminded me of Child of Light! But in a good, vibey way. I loved that game and what you did with this animation by yourself (+ the music by only one other person) is amazing!
I am not a fan of Anime but have found several thing VERY striking and beautiful. The only problem I have with this is how fast she approached Cerberus and was bonded. I can't see that happening that quickly from her perspective. Hades will have instructed Cerberus to accept her immediately, but there was no fear from Persephone. I'm probably wrong, but I am going off of first impressions.
Pretty sure the idea is this is just Persephone returning to the underworld after spending some time with Demeter, not like a first encounter. The bond would already be there.
I discovered your webcomic thanks to this video. It the first webcomic I read. I read straight all the first 20 chapters. That's a wonderful job, I can't wait to read what's next!
Great job, Hades isn't an evil villain that Disney likes to portray him as, he was the fairest Olympian and the richest. Yes, him kidnapping Persephone was wrong, especially since she was his niece. But... I think that we all can agree that a certain love goddess and her son had something to do with it.
In some cases, I think it could be either Hades asking Zeus for advice on how to approach Persephone (not the best guy to ask) and ofc, Zeus would say to kidnap her like how he'd rape the many women he "fell in love" at first sight or Hades asked Zeus permission to take Persephone
Nearly, very nearly had me thinking a brief second cerberus was show as a trio of dogs rather than on individual with 3 heads... but rather ingenious work
