My daily driver is a 98 Expedition, and I have an 88 Bronco as a summer driver, so your channel resonates with me. The first gen Expedition is an under rated and under appreciated 4x4, which I guess keeps the prices down for those of us who see the light. My daughter is only 3, but some day, I have headmovies of us taking trips like this together... including traveling as much of old US-66 as possible. :)
I stumbled upon your channel by way of the video for the lockers you have on old red earlier this year. I've have been contemplating them for my 3rd gen 4runner. However, I must say I've stayed and have enjoyed your trip videos like this one very much. Keep them up! I hope to do Imogen and a couple other trails in a few months with some buddies.
My daughter and I would go out early and drive out on the beach to go fishing. Stop and get a bagel and a coffee before airing down. We still talk about it. Nice to see other people doing the same. *edit I wrote my comment before I got to the part where you guys were having bagels too haha
Wow, the data on the social tunnel was crazy bonus to watching lol. Imagine that was the place back with the view to wooo the ladies way back when lol.
Considering that the mining was done in area after the social tunnel, stands to be reason able that was where the employees would sneak away from work camp and was sheltered to complete transactions. Wasn't a lot of women willing to stay on trail in work camps, but all to many interested to keep their coins. Interesting to compare those dynamics with our present day world. Great video, and the rain was a blessing as it extended your rations lol. Definitely think that would be closer to life on the pass than a nice sunny day. Also see the verglas made for fun breakfast time. Take care and thanks again for the great video.
@@starksexpeditions121 and did you ever have any trouble with ATF fluid leaking from the bell housing? I just bought a 2000 expedition eddie Bauer for an off-roading rig like yours but i am trying to get it road worthy. Noticed a puddle under the drive way

Kind of like lovers lane lookout! I would love to be able to go back in time to see what that entire area looked like back then.
What would you recommend for a cv axle upgrade on these? Mine are shot
The only ones available are stock, I always buy Motorcraft. Last time from Rock Auto.

I don’t have that problem. If ATF is coming out of the front that sounds like a pump seal maybe.
