  • In this video I talk about an idea I have for the upcoming season on the Bassmaster Elite Series! I also share a tip on something I like to do during the wintertime. I'd consider it a scouting trip for both fish and ducks!

For just $.35 a day you could sponsor a BASS master elite angler ! 😂 we’ll send you this t-shirt and stuffed bass in either large or small mouth 😂
Don’t look at it as begging good people are offering to help him when the industry that he is helping get rich isn’t. Perspective is everything

Keep your head up and either block or delete the haters. I donated and i think it's a great idea to possibly win a guided trip and get my name on a BASS elite boat wrap.

Another benefit of low water, its a good way to stock up on tackle, i cant tell you how many lures ive found walking the bank when water is low.

I think it would be a good idea for you to work on your "stage presence" and salesmanship skills.
You could hire both a public speaking instructor and acting coach to teach you how to more confidently present yourself in front of people and in front of the camera.
You could also possibly find a top performing auto salesman who will allow you to shadow him on the car lot. Which would allow you to observe how he interacts with customers as he uses different sales techniques.
You can then use those skills while you practice/pretend selling the exact same model of outboard engine as you have on your boat. Then practice selling the exact same make and model of your boat. Practice selling the particular type of tire on your truck and practice selling the same make and model of your truck. Practice selling everything from your sun glasses to your rod and reels and graphs. Once you get your selling skills perfected the companies will notice you.

I really appreciated your honesty and your being real about how things look financially at the highest level of bass fishing. It is really sad that professional bass anglers have to pay their way and spend $45,000 in entry fees alone. HOWEVER, the answer to this much larger issue in the sport is NOT to beg for money from fans...there are a ton of extremely talented, dedicated, and passionate anglers who can't afford to fish the Opens let alone the Elites. They can't afford $18,000 per year in entry fees to fish 9 Opens events all over the country mostly because they also have full-time jobs. There have been plenty of Elite Series anglers, too, who have stepped down from the Elites to fish the Opens again and even the BASS Nation in hopes of qualifying for each year's Classic. Put your head down, fish your ass off like the rest of us do too, and maybe you'll grind out enough in winnings to keep growing in the Elites. If you can't hang financially and from a competition standpoint in the Elites, step down and compete where you can afford pursuing your passion while working a regular job then. No one owes anyone anything in life. It's a dog eat dog world. And for you to say you're "willing to bet you work harder than someone else" doesn't sit well with me at all. It sounds very entitled. How do you know that? There are plenty of anglers who are hungry out there and who would love to have your job and the opportunity that comes with it. It also doesn't seem like a very good way of building a healthy relationship with your fan base by mocking them essentially, saying you're better than them and work harder, but that you also deserve their money to fish LOL

Lol i was going to suggest this. If youth baseball teams can get sponsored you can. Sell the size of the name. Ie 25 small 50 medium 100 big. Also start a you tube membership and if your really brave start a live stream or patreon. You can say thier name as a bonus when you weigh in. Ie "i want say thanks to my supporters joe blow and john Doe ..ect" Need to plan out videos so right out a script does not have to be much just like 5 things subject wise so you keep on topic. Who what why when where.

I've never caught a duck. 😉 But walking the banks during drawdown is cool. I mark waypoints for stuff I encounter on the water all the time, like stumps I run over.

You know if you can’t afford to fish professionally, then find another career!!!!
You are the only pro I have ever heard ask for money.
If I had all the working people in America sending me money so that I could fish professionally, I would jump on that in a heartbeat!!!!!
Man put your head down and grind, if you win some tournaments then the sponsors will come.
