I want an edit of Luke saying Ellen and Mike have the supernatural ability to know what to do in video games cut with all the times Mike has frantically said “what do I do??” in other streams.
I genuinely don't know what Luke was talking about with that. Surely he means Andy? The Devour stream comes to mind where Mike was just doing his own thing whilst the others were yelling at him to join them.lmao
Luke & Jane make a great horror game pair, it's hard to describe their energy. They're two brilliant minds come together to talk too deeply about the mechanics of making out with gas masks, getting distracted from the intentions of a video game, and blowing up the wrong gases - all while staying calmly fearful. Lovely hallostream, guys ♡
Shooting out your only source of light with one of your only bullets in the opening minute of the game is certainly a bold move. I'm sure this is all part of Luke's masterplan.
👎I clicked like on the comment but have to thumbs down the idea of actually using the timestamp link and missing out on Danger Snow (by that silly boy who covered Get Low on acoustic guitar for unsuspecting coffee shop patrons)
Thanks for the timestamp as you always do, the intro to hallostreem has a high piched sound that physically hurts me due to autism. So I appreciate you making it so easy to skip!
"You have acquired Lambert. Lambert is now in my inventory." ... 10 seconds later ... Lambert is dead. "You are now on your own." Rollercoaster ride! 😂
This was very entertaining. As both a lover of Hallowstream and something of a First World War history geek this was right up my alley, and I feel like the Jane/Luke combo is a great one which we don't get often enough on streams. Constantly comparing themselves negatively to how Mike and Ellen would approach it was really funny. Also, the moment when they realized it was 'gas' in the 'horrific chemical warfare' sense not the 'video gamey-big explosion' sense was hilarious.
Luke the Brave Is Not Scared of Anything is my new favorite ox series omg ^.^ this was amazing, hallowstream is like my favorite part of spooky season, and it's a high bar!!
Jane, You can put the pin back into the grenade and use it later. There is a lever on the grenade that you hold. Only when you throw it will the lever be released and the fuse lit.
I never enjoyed scary games until I started watching Hallostream last year. I still have some catching up to do, but these are all great fun! Thanks, Fearproof Luke and Guide Jane.
Nicely done Luke for stepping up and doing a fear, more than i could do, sometimes. Here's to more of this combo, meaning Luke, Jane and horror games in the future, happy Hallowstream everyone.
14:05 a bit funny watching Jane of all of them short circuit, clearly because she had _no_ intention of smushing their masks so hard that the seal would break🤣
1:35:32 And that just gave me flashbacks to my childhood watching old cartoons on a Disney channel that had no commercials and Lambert the Sheepish Lion. Mouseterpiece Theater was such a great show.
great stream, love how Jane egged Luke on at the start, also nice to see the monster, not so nice to see it chew on Luke but hey if it shows up you got to expect that. also like how Luke tried to throw a pillow at the monster right at the end
11:58 I once had to throw keys to a second story window for someone to catch but instead of effortlessly throwing them through the window i threw them to the first story metal garage door directly in front of me resulting in a clamorous bang that echoed throughout the neighborhood. i left the keys at the front door and drove off.
Hallowstream ratings! Content warnings: war (WW1 - see replies for details and skip time), injury, blood, gore (graphic), body horror, jumpscares Horror rating: 4/5, pretty darn tense and scary! Entertainment rating: 5/5, Luke and Jane were such a good duo, loved how much their humour contrasted with the horror going on around them. Gas can and 'be careful what you wish for' were hilarious!
That's so interesting! I found this to be the scariest Amnesia for me, but I think it's because I've watched so much Dark Descent and Machine for Pigs that I see the monsters as old friends 😂
Hi, could you please elaborate on how history-heavy the stream is? I'm taking realistic stuff like explosions, battle or trenches flashbacks? I'd like to watch but am unsure about the war stuff (have enough of that irl rn).
@@ka-mai Start at 17:10 to bypass all the trench battle stuff (which is mostly tutorial anyway). The rest of the stream happens inside a bunker, and every once in a while there’s a distant muffled explosion and the camera shakes, as though a shell has been dropped above ground. Apart from that it’s pretty much just your standard fare of “beware the scary monster while you traverse a maze of dark rooms and corridors”.
I think you're being a bit harsh on yourself Luke. Ellen wouldn't have shot the gas canister because she'd still be cowering in one of the previous corridors, and I'm 95% sure Mike would have done what you just did to see what happened.
So Luke neglecting the generator made the beast much more active and aggressive. While the light isn't immediately effective, it does make the monster hide in its holes more. Meaning it will come out and patrol less. Also having to use the light less means less noise as well. Also making eye contact with it makes it immediately see you. Also yes he was right *spoiler* the beast is his friend who was mutated by the water Henri gave him in the hole
Apropos of nothing I'd like the cast to discuss notorious Buffy episodes for a spooktober stream. Because I love Oxtra, Oxbox, and Buffy and everyone chatting about it like the pokemon vids sounds like a wonderful time to me.
As much as I loved this stream, I found it extremely frustrating that they kept underestimating the absolute importance and benefit of keeping that generator powered up as much as possible lol.
Say what you will about the "supernatural" ability to pay attention and understand what games are asking of you because on the flip side I would never in a million years come up with the plan to; Use explosives to open a blocked door, to get into a room in order to acquire explosives, so that I could open a blocked door. Surely that's worth something 😅
Was this the first ever Jane and Luke duo stream?? Like I know they’ve done streams full team and in threes and fours just can’t recall another just Jane and Luke
30:16 and I'm screaming at the screen LOCK THE DOOR OF THE SAVE ROOM. You really don't want to find out the hard way that you're not safe if you don't lock those doors people!
I want an edit of Luke saying Ellen and Mike have the supernatural ability to know what to do in video games cut with all the times Mike has frantically said “what do I do??” in other streams.

Cut to Mike's corpse-blindness in AmongUs
@@akmal94ibrahimAnd not using the map.
So come on, chat? Which of us has the editing skills to make that?
@@HaIfaxaI was also thinking, surely he means Andy. Because Mike famously doesn’t know what to do unless it’s a racing game. 😂
We need more Luke and Jane combo streams. Far too rare for how goood they are together.
The dichotomy of Jane’s 0.2 seconds flipping between “lambert my baby boy” / “wow that monster, what and idiot” is A+
Luke & Jane make a great horror game pair, it's hard to describe their energy. Oh yeah, it's the Westaway Gambit! Will it pay off? Probably!
luke: looks like some kind of monster hole
*aggressively cranks loud flashlight pointed directly at monster hole*
Stream starts at 3:04, at the cost of missing Danger Snow!
Some costs are too steep.
Aha, but what if I listen to thirty seconds of Danger Snow and *then* skip to the start? Best of both worlds ; )
Can't miss Danger Snow
1:21:00 The chat implies that Luke isn't safe in the safe room. Jane, "Luck and hubris got me this far."
"You have acquired Lambert. Lambert is now in my inventory." ... 10 seconds later ... Lambert is dead. "You are now on your own."
Rollercoaster ride! 😂
Goodnight sweet Lambert
"Mike wouldn't do this" leads to so much unintentional comedy when considering some of the moments on the channel :')
1:44:57 - Luke: "Wait, can I lock the monster IN?"
I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with... yourself. I'm somewhere else.
Nice!
Luke: "I'm gonna turn the game audio up. I want this to be like uncomfortably loud."
Jane: "Yeah. Part of the scare is just being deafened."
😂😂

17:15 “you are now on your own. Learn, adapt, experiment and survive” “aww! I have to do that IRL!”
I always knew that the real horror was adulthood.
The Luke and Jane combo is so good. Mastermind and wholesome. The Life is Strange discussions are great too.
Nice to see Amnesia taking some tips from Receiver! The ultimate horror is 'clumsily fiddling with a gun while the monsters hunt for you'
Luke the Brave Is Not Scared of Anything is my new favorite ox series omg ^.^ this was amazing, hallowstream is like my favorite part of spooky season, and it's a high bar!!
Need a tshirt with "Luck and Hubris got me this far" on it :D
"Ooo a watch and a corpse! Let's focus on the watch"
-luke the grave robber
Jane, You can put the pin back into the grenade and use it later. There is a lever on the grenade that you hold. Only when you throw it will the lever be released and the fuse lit.
So one needs to be skilled at both throwing AND holding??
Imagine being the enemy in the beginning of the game and seeing random objects just go flying from the opposite trench in middle of a battle lol
Luke and Jane stream was something I didn’t know was missing…but now has proven essential.
1:23:03
Luke "Get back here-"
Me: "You Gremlins!"
Luke: "-coward!"
I think Mom Can't Cook has poisoned my mind.
Always love watching Hallowstream vods...with a stretched arm for safe distance, thank you Luke for playing what I'm not brave enough to play myself!
I've missed the regular oxbox/oxtra streams, been looking forward to Hallowstream so much and it's off to such a strong start 😁
1:50:00 the weird way they both say key at EXACTLY the same moment but for two TOTALLY different reasons. Lol
40:00 peak comedy is when they 'decided' to gas the monster out😂😂😂
Jane and Luke have such good vibes, need more streams with them!
I never enjoyed scary games until I started watching Hallostream last year. I still have some catching up to do, but these are all great fun! Thanks, Fearproof Luke and Guide Jane.
First year I’m keeping up with hollow stream, usually forget about it until December.
Nicely done Luke for stepping up and doing a fear, more than i could do, sometimes. Here's to more of this combo, meaning Luke, Jane and horror games in the future, happy Hallowstream everyone.
Jane: "I was wearing shredded jeans. Jorts or somesuch."
Ian was the monster all along.
14:05 a bit funny watching Jane of all of them short circuit, clearly because she had _no_ intention of smushing their masks so hard that the seal would break🤣
"It won't be scary once we've seen it"
Two seconds later...
"Oh no..."
1:35:32 And that just gave me flashbacks to my childhood watching old cartoons on a Disney channel that had no commercials and Lambert the Sheepish Lion. Mouseterpiece Theater was such a great show.
stream starts @3:03
i literally jumped and screamed when the monster got luke in what was supposed to be a safety corner Xp
Petition for DLC that replaces the monster noises with Luke saying "rar, rar, I'm a monster".
great stream, love how Jane egged Luke on at the start, also nice to see the monster, not so nice to see it chew on Luke but hey if it shows up you got to expect that. also like how Luke tried to throw a pillow at the monster right at the end
“Monsters don’t wear lab coats…” says Jane, covering her ass…
it seems like some might not be aware but the jorts *_are_* jorts. denim was the standard although it was brown before it was blue.
Like these and the Xmas Challenges because we get combinations we don’t usually see like Jane and Luke or Mike and Ellen
This game does darkness so well.
11:58 I once had to throw keys to a second story window for someone to catch but instead of effortlessly throwing them through the window i threw them to the first story metal garage door directly in front of me resulting in a clamorous bang that echoed throughout the neighborhood. i left the keys at the front door and drove off.
Perhaps the beast is tall but crouches a lot.

From what i watched it’s not that scary like the previous amnesias. But agree Jane and Luke were absolutely entertaining as always 😃

my birthdays on the 25th, so glad to come back for another hallowstream then!
My birthdays on the 24th
And mine is on the 23rd xD
I’m gonna need more of this stream! It was a brilliant time.
I think Mortuary Assistant should be added to the Hallowstream playthrough
luke and his emotional support flashlight
The gas bit 🤣
Hopefully they go back to this, it's great!
And maybe an Oxboxtra Outlast Trials? They have a new map coming out for Halloween

Wonderful stream, would watch more of these two and The Bunker
I sure hope Ellen plays this too.
With Andy.
So odd haven’t seen Luke being scared in a video game before
Jane! You're not in the safety bunker!
The bunker is being renovated...for...reasons 👀
Besides.....Jane scares the monsters away because they don't want to be part of her science projects 😂

Speaking of Tall Ellen's Fear Academy, who are the last three? Two Points Ellen, Car Ellen, and Pro Gamer Ellen?
Science Ellen, Boom! Ellen and PirateCowboy Ellen
Fashion Ellen
WW1 did quite famously have barrels of death. they were filled with Gas.
28:03 some scary atmos.... or some might say atmos-fear.
If only they had a poison chicken...
Oh no it's gas!
As much as I loved this stream, I found it extremely frustrating that they kept underestimating the absolute importance and benefit of keeping that generator powered up as much as possible lol.
Not one sheepish lion in sight
Hoi. You better take damn good care of lambert!!! Nevermind....
Don't know if it was intentional, but love Jane repping ace colours during Ace Awareness Week :)
I desperately need 40:01on the press mems of 2023 list.
Fun fact mustard gas is not actually a gas!
Ahhhh Rats -Jane
lol i love that saying but poor rats it was the fleas not the rats
Wonderful intro music.
That was amazing, thanks for playing that game so I don't have to 😂
Loving Hallowstream as always, folks. ❤
And Jane, i had, "I'm the X," from Strange New Worlds in my head for like 2 weeks. 😂

Spoooky!
you were playing when you thought it was gasoline not gas right ? WW1 was about the gas but not gasoline.
La'an has best vocals in the SNW episode 💅
The only good musical episode, leave it to Trek, what about the crossover 😍🤩
i took a nap so now i'm ready for this top quality stream

No lol

Don’t worry we won’t be waiting long 😃
wow that torch mechanic is really annoying. why do they do this gimmick poop 💩 in games ?
Why do Brits pronounce schedule as "shed-yool" but don't pronounce school like "shool"?? 😜
Why do all English speakers pronounce "colon" as "colon", but "colonel" as "kernel" and not "colon-el"?
@@Amaritudine yeah but there's no inconsistency with people there. Everybody says "kernel". But on the subject... there's no "f" in "lieutenant." 😜
