Just to comment on the final convo of playing 1500, the big issue for me is that three core factions cannot take a lvl 4 and their best combat lord at that level. Tk, high elves and beasts, and this can really hamstring them for no perceivable reason.
@@Zenfoxgames that’s almost the point I think, it forces you to make decisions on the power spikes of the game. I (Paddy) agree somewhat - Wood Elves for EG can take a Level 4 Treeman Ancient and a naked Glade Lord on a Forest Dragon. So it might just distort the game in a different way. Having played a few 1500pt games now, it does force some tough decisions in the character slot though.

Wood Elves, Bretonnia, Chaos, Orc & Goblin, Empire, Lizardmen, Daemons and Chaos Dwarfs
@@grlmgor 1500pts limits you to one lord option naturally. Wood elves have the treeman ancient loophole. But you can’t take a spellweaver and a glade lord because of the 0-1 per 1000pts rule.
Or do those armies have a way to avoid that?
@@2pluspodcast the issue for me is that it only forces some factions to make a decision. I would be more inclined to an event that was 1500 points and no wizards over level 2, than I would just a straight 1500 points.
@grimgor I see your point now sorry! I guess the other main point for 1500 is accessibility and finishing your games in full. Maybe it depends on local metas not abusing the power spikes but that goes for 2k games too. We have to submit our lists in 2 weeks so we will see what happens!

Just read the cancon notes, not ideal I don’t think. But ultimately I can’t see many lists being turned away. Are you going?

Interestingly, he'd dialled down the amount of Wailing Dirges found in previous lists that included Terrorgheists. Are there many prominent tournaments deciding placings on Battle Points first?
@@2pluspodcastterrorgheists are much worse than BK imo, they get picked up far too easily in the meta atm
