- Anna is unhappy to find Faye and Tim eating their breakfast in the cafe. When Anna gives Faye her toast she confronts Tim and asks him if they have bread at home, Tim tells Anna not proper bread and Anna is concerned Faye isn't being cared for properly, Anna is also worried that Faye being late for school will go on her report, Anna points out that Faye was never late when she was living with her, Tim and Faye walk out and Faye eats her breakfast on the way. Anna walks over to Gary and Owen as she's upset that Faye would be back home with her by that time.
Later as Tim gets the shopping out of a taxi boot, Faye spots Anna and Anna rushes over to her, Anna asks Faye what food they bought, Faye tells Anna that they're having a takeaway and Anna is worried, Tim points out that he got Faye to school on time. Faye roots in her bag for a certificate she got from school, Anna reads it and is proud of Faye, Tim walks away as Anna gives Faye a hug.
The next day at breakfast Tim walks out of his bedroom as Faye puts everything away, Faye tells Tim he made her a cup of tea and Faye asks Tim if he washed her P.E kit, Tim tells Faye he forgot and offers to write a note, Faye tells Tim she'll take it as it is, Tim offers to take Faye to school but Faye wants to walk alone, Tim plays a game whilst Faye leaves.
In the cafe Faye asks Anna for a slice of cake, Anna questions Faye about what time she has her tea, Faye tells Anna around 8:30 to 9pm. Anna also is worried about Faye and questions her on what she did last night, Faye tells Anna a movie Anna asks what and Faye lies, Faye finally admits she watched football with Tim, Anna is unhappy she lied. Anna gives Faye the slice of cake and invites her for tea and asks her to bring her dirty washing.
When Faye is eating her dinner, Gary walks in, soon after there's a knock on the door and Anna goes to see who it is. Faye's curiosity goes over Gary's baby when Faye asks him if she would still be related to it, Gary answers Faye's question with a yes, Anna comes back in with Tim, and Tim see's Faye eating her dinner, Anna invites Tim to wait for Faye as she eats the rest of her food. Gary and Anna are shocked when Tim asks for a can of beer, Anna gets him one.
After her dinner Faye asks for dessert and Anna offers her apple pie, Faye agrees. A couple of minutes later and Owen shows up, asking what Faye and Tim are doing there, Anna explains to Owen that she invited Faye for her dinner. Owen asks Anna what Tim is doing there, Anna tells Owen she invited him in to wait for Faye, Owen points out to Tim that he needed to watch how it was done, Tim tells Anna that him and Faye should leave, Faye asks for her apple pie and Anna pulls Owen away for a quiet word, Owen settles down and tells Faye it's nice to see her, Owen goes off upstairs for a wash and Anna tells Tim that Owen doesn't really like surprises.
Later on, when Faye has done, Tim asks Faye to say thanks for the meal, Faye says thank you and Anna tells Faye she's welcome there anytime, Faye is happy. Anna tells Tim that she'll bring Faye's washing round when it's done, Owen takes it a bit personal and asks Anna why she's doing their washing, Faye and Tim eventually leave as Owen points out that Tim is not fit to be a dad. When Tim and Faye have left, Owen tells Anna not to help out, a angry Anna refuses to listen to Owen.
