The league wanted to stretch out the finals in order to get more money from ticket sales and ratings, before the NBA pre-season ends and the start of the regular season. What little attention the WNBA finals was getting, is now gone that the NBA pre-season is in full swing. So the powers that be sent the word down for the mystics to throw game 4. Della don even alluded to the fix by speaking on how it's "Good" for the league, that a game 5 will happen. She further commented on ratings, ticket sales and how people need to tune in! I mean damn! talk about brassiness! They told her to sell her soul on national TV! So in essence, della don said, "Yeah, we threw game 4 in order to get a game 5, so our pitiful league can gain more exposure and pay our salaries! Let me tell ya, the more exposure the WNBA gets, the worse off it'll get, because once people see what the WNBA has to offer, they'll never tune in again! They have no shame! I'll bet the WNBA finals have some of the lowest attendance and TV ratings to date! This shows how much a shit show the WNBA is! The whole purpose of watching a NBA game is to be, "ENTERTAINED", Not just "competitiveness" This is what WNBA players don't understand, when they quip, "basketball isn't just about dunking" , it shows a lack of understanding when it comes to the entertainment part of basketball in the NBA. NBA fans that tune in at home to watch NBA games and attend arenas to watch the game's live, don't want to watch fundamental basketball! They don't want to just see dunks but POWERFUL DUNKS! ARTISTIC DUNKS! SOURING DUNKS! HIGH FLYING DUNKS! ALLEY OOP DUNKS! POSTER DUNKS BY DUNKING ON AND OVER THE OPPOSING PLAYER TYPE DUNKS! DRIBBLING AND JUKIN' AN OPPOSING PLAYER IN AN ATTEMPT TO BREAK HIS ANKLE! When i tried to give the WNBA a chance, this is what i saw: 1 The WNBA game is one speed....FAST PACED 2 The players don't play defence! 3 They score so fast on both ends with no set plays. 4 It's as if it's a free for all and the players just change the play at will. 5 They all more or less shoot unattested shots! This is because WNBA players tend to play zone and not man to man. So they are always running up to a open player shooting the ball. On top of the fact that WNBA games come off as an unorganized mess, nothing unexpected happens.... You've seen everything happen in a WNBA game, that will EVER happen. And having brittney griner dunking every once in a blue moon isn't enough to quench the entertainment thirst of WNBA fans.... Truth be told, NBA players could play a game without dunking, throwing alley oop passes, making no look passes, performing ankle breaking dribble moves. But it begs the question, how ENTERTAINING WOULD IT BE IF THEY DIDN'T DO THESE THINGS? I'll answer for you...as entertaining as the WNBA!
