Had a conversation with a friend last week about this - my thought is that the ladder and the fear of hieghts are the only reasons they call someone for gutters. If the gutter was on the ground, they'd never call, so you have to charge for the ladder and the work. Even if it takes you 5 minutes to change a light bulb, the value to the homeowner is there.
Very good point. You are right about the ease of the job itself if it were on the ground. They would never think the pricing is worth it. The fear of falling or heights is where you can justify pricing.
It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the end! That's why "sky vac" works so well. Keep your feet on the ground, way less risk, no damage to customer roof and gutters, not blowing nasty crap all over everything. Nasty stuff is contained, you don't get dirty, nasty, stinky, no cuts from nails, sharp edges in the gutters, customer is happy. You never make a repeat customer being cheap, they forget price real quick when you do above quality work.
I know the feeling cleaning out gutters I serve a big oak over my house once or twice a year that the clean it especially during rainy season Keep it going OK and thank you 🍻🍺
Finally a video that answers what I am looking for! Thank you, great vid 👍

I like that “ I don’t blow out gutters because it get debris everywhere.”
So it’s common the first gutter cleaning will be gutters packed with dirt and trees growing?
