It was 2014 when I downloaded this game played for 7years straight. My account was similar to this account although I was a f2p. I am literally tearing up writing this.ah the memories I made the friends I made. Just indescribable.
Bruh, old Castle Clash was where it was at. I started playing the game in primary school (after I quit Clash of Clans). I quit CoC in grade 3, and I started Castle Clash in grade late grade 3 or early grade 4. I played CC with 2 friends and the thrill of grinding for talent chests, quests, and grinding gems to test the RNG for new heroes was extraordinary (you can't forget the shard grind, and better strengthening your team to further your dungeons and HBM for shards). I believe it was grade 7/8 when my friends had quit the game (due to the new imbalances and trash updates that kept coming out). I can't exactly remember when I quit, but I was away for a year or two, until I had started fresh on an Android account (IOS previously). Before I go on, one of my friends (who had been relative to my account or better - at the start) had always wished for Skull Knight. We had played for about half a decade and he just couldn't get him. Even when he had quit CC, we would joke about Skull Knight for some time and what's better to re-download and try to get him? Yeah, I can confidently say that he never got him (even to this day). Anyhow, on my Android account, I built my account heavily and joined PaPow (I believe 3 years ago when it was made). I got my Dyna to BT30 with max 5* accuracy traits, used Lazu and Rambard, as well as DD and 2 other heroes to demolish in guild wars. With my set-up, I was strong enough to take on the very top base. However, things were going rough in school and I decided to quit for a year. It was only very recent that I came back to the game again (to continue my TapJoy Android account; didn't pay any money in the tasks). I was going strong, building my might and figuring out the meta (even when it was very difficult - I got advice off your videos, discord, and some guild members. Yes, I had joined PaPow once again. However, once they removed TapJoy's accumulation, I had completely lost hope of ever playing again. I was already far behind the meta, had no keepsake, and all was a mess. If I had never quit, and stayed with the meta, I wouldn't have quit so easily, but this was enough to tell me that I wouldnt be getting myself back into the game. Sorry for the essay, but I hope you read what I had to say. P.S, I have graduated from school (since last year), and to answer your question, I have played since 9+ years ago.
I did read it all, the SK struggle was real. My friend played 2 years before he got SK and 6 months after that he got gholem. That's a struggle. With your keepsake issue. I stopped playing for a month and even that caused me to be so far behind on keepsake that it cost me millions of gems just to stand a chance. And yes, Papow does work lol

I used to whale this game heavy back in the day, miss my old guild Koa. This video brought back so many memories. Mlh2014,isoloman, lady Beatrice, Shinnn, 😔 we used to get excited about 10% bonus on the weekend then years later they had 100%+ bonus everyday and it slowly pushed everyone away making it insanely unfair to OG players.
i remember when i started playing this game because of my friends. when i just started i rolled thunder god on my first roll which was a very big deal my friends lost their minds over my begginers luck lol they vere playing for nearly couple of months and if u had atleast 1 legend it was considered already a good account to play on. in my opinion the best days of cc were around 1 or 2 years after they released pumpkin duke good old days. that 7/9 pumpkin duke with 5/5 berserk was peak memories
Seing the destroyers just brought nostalgia . I always wanted to get that hero but i could never use that much money in the game to this day i dont have him and i forgot he existed in the first place
remember playing when thundergod was the og-best raid hero. i think my go-too setup were something like: druid, thundergod, pd, imohtep and reaper. also when succubus was the best arena hero coz of the % hp thing on the crystal. I think i still have a account from back then ( altho it's been updated with a bunch of other stuff), with like ladyleo, orksbane, santaboom, warlock and medusa

i remember pulling skull knight when he first came out and it was honestly more exciting than any current thing in the game, a simple roll for a chance at the hero beats out all these "play event loads to get soulshards, or spend!"
I started in 2014 and still have acc. it was much funnier back then, when I got Immortep for shard that I grinded for weeks I was so happy that I can beet HBM like G or HBM H (back then there was only like A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H and maybe I and J so yeah and when vlad dracula came into the game... it was gamechanger beast back then. Also remember when storm mesa was introduced and Pumpking duke was Must have option if you did not have him then sorry no storm mesa for you and yeah I was and I am still free to play player so it was hard but funnier and also so much simple yet very enjoyable, arena tactics, HBM tactics (base, walls) everything had more purpose back then, even normal bomb against troops, towers... yeah good old times in 2014-17 they started to bring so much in to the game so I just stoped play around that time and I started few months back just for nostalgia.
Just skipping over pumpkin duke… the duke was necessary! I remember how an optimized build with best duke rolls would melt an enemy in like 10 seconds.
I quit when gunslinger came out. I hated that she basically was basically the ultimate defense hero and made GWs such a pain. I just came back to the game about a month ago so my account looks a lot like this 😂
More nostalgia in the comment below: - I can give you video from 6-7 years ago when I consumed top 1500 account 185k might f2p. - Pd cupid starter acc was $50 - My friend sold 195k f2p might acc for 200$ - top 1k - People use to buy gems just to roll, so they can get 3 fame per roll, imagine now spending over $1000 to get 6k prestige points. - I have beaten insane 5-10 when it was the newest one, with greezly reaper, 9/10 skill, 7/8 bulwark, and p2p players from my guild gave me their minotaur accounts to beat them insane 5. - My first legend was PD - Most wanted hero for me was aries, because you would use him for guild wars to take out skull knight's revive and reduce energy from other heroes. - ended up consuming accout because I was not able to get aries
Where are the days when pumpkin was the key to success. Since my last login they added 50 heroes and it was unplayable long before that because the new heroes were too strong. It lost its beauty and without depositing real money the player had no chance to achieve anything.

I donated about 500$ ever since I started playing, 400$ of which were spent for just getting gems without any additional bonuses in 2015-2016, lol... I miss my childhood games so much 😢. BTW, 500$ was a decent, above average salary in my country back then 😅.

And I went to a friends house and told him to install it and play it, and he rolled a goulhem and a skull night with around 5000 gems, and I couldn't believe it. I remember I used to run druid on my team because he was one of the best healers at the time if not the best, and I always remembered how shards it was to get phantom king as it would take like 50k shards to buy him. What a nostalgic video.
The last hero that released when I was first playing as a kid was Warlock I believe. Back when Moltanica was the best hero by far and the warehouse was just added.
I remember these days I miss those days when u used pumpkin duke, Cupid, grim reaper for half the ppl who were f2p but I was always played p2p so I always used spirit mage but Ik for a fact only old gen ppl know this when u rolled ANY 4/5 or 5/5 talent you was not waiting it that talent was definitely going on a hero I even remember before phantom king became a shard hero and barely anyone could buy him cause you had to do hbm and sit thru the whole thing there was no fast forward on any game mode, then buying 99$ only gave you 16k gems and sometimes you didn’t even roll not 1 legendary now it’s not even as fun anymore and there just making random hero’s that’s making older hero’s pointless like why did I spend thousands of $s for mino when he can’t do anything no more but we all know destroyer was always sh!t from the beginning so I’m not gonna complain about him
