It doesn't always pay off getting up for the blue hour, it certainly did this time. Some great shots, 10 minutes makes at real change at this time of day. Good getting out too to see things most people never do.
When you get out of bed at 3.40am and you get nothing, then it's the worst morning ever. But when you get out so early and get conditions like this, then it's amazing, and it really charges my battery's. Thanks for watching and your comment! Grt guido

I'm always surprised at how good I can hear the birds in the audio files. Sometimes, when I'm not recording video, I just tape the audio alone, so I can use these sounds in the video. I was getting dressed in desperate when I was searching for the camera. The osmo pocket is only 10 cm big and black, so I just couldn't find it. Eventually, I notice the back sticking out of a peace of heather. When I was searching, i also realised that I didn't empty the sd card after the last 2 trips. So I would have lost 3 trips of material. So I was really happy when I found it! Lesson learned emptying after every trip now 😅 thanks for watching grt guido

I just had an idea for you.... A few days ago I was standing waist deep in a lake shooting small radio-controlled yachts - never done it before but had a lot of fun. And now my thought - Guido! Why not get yourself a radio controlled duck? Think of the time you would save not waiting for some angry mallard to turn-up just to not swim in the right place? And now my marketing genius - why not encourage OM to produce a range of high-end weather-sealed R/C ducks? I'm not helping, am I? Sorry. Lovely video and I really appreciated the aesthetic conveyed in the images - so makes getting up early worthwhile. Have a great week - all the best from the ducks at my place.
There is actualy someone in England that built a radio controlled Swan. And I know there is also an ambassador from the UK that built some sort of floating device that he takes along when shooting birds on the water. But for me part of the fun is that wait untill ducks, light or animals get in the right spot. I really enjoy that torture moment of come on, come on, a bit more, aarrghhh 😅 sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And if all of it doesn't work then there Is always post processing to place it in the right spot 😉 thanks for watching grt guido
Nice video Guido! When too many choices you can always buy more cameras, set them up on different positions, to get more compositions 😂. Without joking you have some really beautiful photos, so you’re making the right choices 👏🏻

Haha, I offered them some bread crumbs 😅 no it just a game of patience. But when it started to spread it wings in that position, I knew it was a great shot. It is, of course, a telephoto shot, so I'm not that close to them. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it! Grt guido
Hoi Guido Wat heb jij weer een geluk gehad dat je de camera weer terug vond, anders was het een dure grap voor je geworden. De Om-1 MK II is nu wel in de aanbieding dus dat had je wel weer wat gescheeld in de vervanging kosten 😂. Die 40-150 2,8 is een mooie lens.
Was het maar de om-1 mkII die ik had laten liggen die was een stuk makkelijker te zien. Het was de osmo pocket en dat ding is max 10cm groot ofzo. Hij lag half in een pluk heide waar ik volgens mij al 3 keer langs gelopen was. Je oog moet er maar ndt op vallen. De 40-150 f2.8 is idd een fantastische lens! Enige wat in mijn ogen mist is de acra swiss koppeling op de gondel. Wie weet passen ze dat aan als er ooit een versie 2 van komt. Bedankt voor het kijken weer. Grt guido
@@GuidoVanDeWater hoi Guido dan heb je inderdaad veel mazel gehad, dat je hem nog gevonden hebt. Het geluk is met de domme. Ik zeg dan altijd tegen mijn vrouw, , dat ik heel erg som ben 😂. Ik geloof niet dat er een MKII versie komt van de 40-150. Deze lens is al top. Hooguit een sigma variant ( her branding), wat ik niet hoop. De Olympus optieken zijn Top. Iets wat je van sigma niet altijd kunt zeggen.

Als lerend hobby-fotografe (met een OM-5)ben ik alleen verbaasd over de ISO 3200, omdat je fotografeert vanaf een statief. Overal lees ik dat je dan met een lage ISO-waarde kunt fotograferen. Hartelijke groet uit Oostenrijk
@nancyvanlieshout3076 hoi leuk dat je het kanaal volgt. Ik had zeker een mooie ochtend hier. Vanaf statief kan je inderdaad makkelijker met lage iso waardes fotograferen zoals iso 200 op jou om-5. In dit geval zwemmen er echter eenden en gansen in het water. Als ik met zo'n lage iso had gefotografeerd had ik een hele lange sluitertijd gekregen. Kortom alle eenden en gansen waren dan bewogen geweest. Ik heb dus de iso gebruikt om een snellere sluitertijd te krijgen. En ik weet tegenwoordig dat fotograferen op iso 3200 niet echt een probleem is qua ruis. Gewoon zorgen dat de foto aan de lichte kant gemaakt word dan heb je weinig tot geen ruis. Woon je in Oostenrijk of ben je op vakantie? Grt guido
