      @@АлександрВасильков-з4о it is still a great city. Just changed in there is many more new buildings and people. Seattle has become very expensive because of how many people want to live there now. The only negative is that there is a serious homeless problem in Seattle now.

    Is it the Ocean never mixes with the river? My wife and I took some time in Seattle before our Alaskan cruise and went to the locks very awesome.

      No, most- though not all- boat locks around the world are gravity-fed. In the case of the Ballard Locks here, freshwater is _always_ being used to _fill_ the lock, and it always drains _into_ Puget Sound. So saltwater _never_ contaminates the freshwater Lake Washington Ship Canal.
