- In this video, I show you the best crappie fishing technique to catch big post spawn crappie. We are crappie fishing with a Slab City Jig. Dock shooting for crappie is a crappie fishing technique that takes time and patience when you are out on the lake. You are literally shooting a crappie jig under a dock where crappie like to go after they spawn, the reason why crappie like to go under docks is because of the rising water temperatures, so the dock provides shade and structure for the crappie. I hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching! God Bless!

Just wanted to let you know that I tried those tiny frozen salad shrimp I asked you if you had tried them. They loved them as soon as it hit the water. Who knew.
That’s awesome man!!!
Man, I did dock shooting yesterday for the first time. I didn’t even think about sitting down. I kept hitting the dock lol, and couldn’t get far enough from where the majority of the fish were. Will try next time. Also, does line size/material or rod size matter?
Great video?
I actually prefer to shoot docks from Jon boat or kayak, you are lower to the water! Thanks for watching! God bless
How do you like that rod? It looks like it shoots well. How does it do on open water brush piles and other panfish?
I love it for dock shooting. I wouldn’t use it brush pile fishing. I prefer to use a longer rod for that. The 7’ or the 8’.
Great video, my question is how much line do let out before you shoot the dock.
I usually have about 2 and a half feet out or so!
What lake are you fishing
I've never attempted the dock shooting technique, primarily because I don't want to accidentally hook myself with the jig. Is there a certain technique that you use to get it under the dock so perfectly i.e leave out a certain amount of line, bail open etc.
I love it! I have a video on how to shoot docks. Type in the search 903 fishing how to shoot docks for crappie”

Many of the docks around us are floating docks. Have you had any success with those holding crappie?
Never fished a floating dock.
Hi 903 fishing, love your channel, could you please let me know how deep is the dock you are fishing?
Yes sir! The docks in this video are 6-9 feet deep for the most part!
The hotter it gets the deeper the dock the better!
Make total sense, thanks for sharing

Hey 903 I have a crappie Rod &reel I have 12 pound test line is that a problem or should I switch to 8 lbs test line
I use 6 but 12 is too big
I use 12 bound braid
All depends on how I am fishing for them. I am using 6# mono in this video. But I’m dock shooting.
What if you fish on a lake with no docks?
Well as I mentioned in the intro, I will
